Gravy was rescued from the shelter with her sister, Biscuit. We don’t know how they landed in the shelter but we promised to find them the best forever homes in the world. We expect they will be in the medium range when they reach their adult weight. If you’re in the mood for a tasty treat, adopt Miss Gravy!      Gravy is an affectionate and playful puppy who can’t wait to take on the world with her people. She is super smart and food motivated which means training will be a blast. Gravy has never met a stranger she hasn’t charmed effortlessly and we know she will be the star of every park she enters. Gravy thinks she’s a total lapdog and even though she’s getting a bit too big for laps, she’s so darn cute we can’t bear to burst her bubble. Gravy loves playing with her toys and her humans and will happily race around for hours. She would be an amazing addition to an active home who wants to go on adventures with a furry friend! She will give you so many kisses you’ll be able to take them to the bank! We are looking for homes who are prepared to take on all that is large breed puppyhood. Those who know Lab mixes will know how incredible she will be as she grows up. With her floppy ears and her puppy dog eyes, you’ll fall in love with Gravy from the minute you meet her!  Gravy wakes up at 7 AM and enjoys some playtime before she has her breakfast. She plays in the front yard of her foster home for an hour or so with her sister and her toys before coming inside for a long nap. She has a light lunch followed by some playtime and cuddles. This cycle repeats for the rest of the afternoon until dinner around 7 PM. In the evening, she plays some more until she’s all tired and ready for bed in her pen.  Gravy has been well socialized with dogs of varying ages and sizes. She would love a playful companion in her forever home. Interested homes should be prepared to discuss continued training and socialization plans. She adores humans of all ages and would be an amazing addition to any home. We can’t wait for Gravy to find her buttery forever home!      Gravy is only an option for homes who have owned a dog of their own in the last 5 years. Kids should be over the age of 6.March 15, 2025, 8:58 pm

If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered.  *Luna is an option for Foster-to-Adopt!* Adoption Fee: $550 Luna is a 13-14 week old Lab/Pit mix who has the sweetest and most gentle nature! She was originally fostered with her brothers, both of whom have been adopted. Luna and brothers came to DPS at four weeks old. They had been dumped outside a vet clinic in a cardboard box and left there overnight, so they were freezing, starving, emaciated, and so sick. The shelter asked if we could take them in and warned us that they would need round the clock care if they had a chance at surviving. Thanks to our amazing Medical Foster Charleen, who administered sub-q fluids and a variety pack of medication, the pups slowly turned the corner and started gaining weight. Once they were over the hump, they began to thrive! Luna is always ready for playtime and new adventures! But don’t let her adventurous spirit fool you—she’s also the first to sit sweetly for a treat. With her calm, big-dog energy and endless kisses, she’s a gentle leader who doesn’t bark or whine, just loves. She’s intelligent and affectionate, always eager to learn and bond with her humans. Luna would do best in a home that appreciates her balanced nature—playful but calm, curious but gentle.   A Day in the Life of the Lunar Puppies These little dragons have a well-established routine that keeps them happy and thriving! Their day starts at 7:00 AM, when they wake up and head outside for breakfast and a romp in the yard while their pen is cleaned. After plenty of morning zoomies, they settle in for their first nap of the day. By 12:00 PM, they wake up for another meal and a bit of quiet playtime before dozing off again. The afternoon gets exciting when the kids return home at 3:00 PM, meaning more playtime, cuddles, and supervised outdoor adventures. Dinner is served at 6:00 PM, followed by one last burst of energy before they wind down for bedtime. By 10:00 PM, they are snuggled up in their cozy indoor playpen, dreaming of all the fun they’ll have the next day. Well-Socialized, Happy Puppies These puppies have been lovingly raised in a foster home filled with activity, including kids (ages 7-12), cats, and even birds! They are well-socialized, used to household noises, and comfortable meeting new people. Unlike some puppies who whine at the first sound of their humans stirring in the morning, these patient little ones politely wait while their foster mom makes her coffee before tending to them. Like all puppies, they are naturally curious and love to chew on a variety of toys, including bones, ropes, and puzzle toys. While they are generally quiet, they do bark or growl playfully with each other. They are pee-pad trained inside their pen and are already learning to use their designated potty zone outside. Since they are still young, full house-training will need to continue in their new homes. The Perfect Homes for Our Little Dragons Each of these pups will be adopted separately to ensure they develop into confident, independent adult dogs. They will not be placed together due to littermate syndrome. They are playful but not hyper, affectionate but not overly needy—perfect for families looking for a well-balanced puppy. The ideal home will be one that is engaged and committed to their continued training, socialization, and care. These puppies will be medium-sized dogs when fully grown and will need daily exercise, playtime, and mental stimulation to keep them happy. They would do well in homes with children, other dogs, or even cats, as long as they receive proper introductions and supervision. If you’re looking for a loving, well-adjusted puppy to bring joy, adventure, and plenty of cuddles and kisses to your life, apply today to meet your new best friend. March 15, 2025, 1:57 pm

If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered.   Adoption fee: $500 *Egg is an option for Foster-to-Adopt!* Meet Egg – A Resilient Mama Ready for Her Forever Home! Egg’s journey hasn't been an easy one. This 1-2 year old, 27 lb (mini) Lab/Italian Greyhound type mix was rescued from the streets while heavily pregnant, bravely giving birth to seven healthy puppies in our care. Now that her babies have been weaned and are almost ready for adoption, it’s Egg’s turn to experience the love and security she’s always deserved. When first meeting new people, Egg can be unsure, but typically within only an hour or two, she’s taking treats (she's a foodie!) and approaching for pets. She’s looking for a family that understands she needs time to warm up—but once she trusts you, she’s incredibly affectionate and loves belly rubs and ear scratches! She'll happily snuggle with you on the couch and keep you company while you work from home. Egg is still learning how to be a dog, and she’s making great progress in her foster home. She thrives on routine and enjoys spending time in her x-pen where she can observe her people. She is a big fan of bully sticks and other chews and will contentedly chill there while her foster works. She’s quiet and content as long as she can see her human, but she does get a bit anxious when left alone. She’s had a lot of transition in a short time, so insecurity is to be expected! This girl loves to run! (Must be the greyhound side of her!) Whether she’s chasing a ball or zooming around the yard like a jackrabbit, she has energy to burn. She enjoys three long walks a day and is a curious little “metal detector” on leash, zigzagging to sniff everything. She’s good at passing people and dogs on walks but can be wary of sudden noises or fast-moving objects like bikes and skateboards. Given that she came from a remote area, this isn’t surprising! Egg will bond strongly to one human and it will then take bit more time for others to win her over. She’s making progress with structure and consistency. She may be a great fit for a home with a calm, confident dog who can help her learn the ropes, but she could also thrive as the only pet. She has lived with a cat in her foster home and can coexist peacefully, though slow introductions are key. Due to her initial fears, Egg is best suited for an adult home or one with dog-savvy teens who can respect her need for space as she adjusts. Egg will eagerly reward her future family with loyalty, devotion, and plenty of goofy zoomies. If you’re looking for a dog with a heart full of potential and a story of resilience, Egg might just be the perfect addition to your home. Could you be the one to give Egg the safe, loving forever home she’s been waiting for?  March 15, 2025, 8:58 pm

The Egg puppies are a delightful batch of 8 week old miniature Labrador Retriever mix pups, possibly with a dash of something small (maybe Italian Greyhound—or let’s not beat around the whisk, it could be anything… Mom is just 27 lbs!). These little egglets are cracking up with excitement to make their menu debut and find their forever homes! This litter came to us at only 4 days old with Mama Egg, who gave birth in the yard of an amazing lifesaver. We took the family in, and life got scrambling from there! With 4 boys and 4 girls, each cuter than the last, we expect these pups to reach about 25-35 pounds when fully grown. If you’re ready for a dish full of kisses and love, come to our Egg Bar today! Meet the Egg-ceptional Puppies: Benedict (M): Benedict is the big brother of the litter, and he takes his role very seriously—like a true Eggs-ecutive! He perches at the top of the puppy pile like a poached prince, keeping a watchful eye over his siblings. First one out the door in the morning, he’s always egg-cited to lead new adventures. But don’t let his confidence fool you—he’s a total soft-boiled sweetheart who will melt in your arms for snuggles. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who will always be sunny-side-up in your life, Benedict is your guy! Hard Boiled (F): Don’t let the name fool you—Hard Boiled is as soft and lovable as they come! She’s got a heart as warm as a perfectly cooked yolk and a sense of adventure that keeps her bouncing from one discovery to the next. When she’s not playfully romping around with her siblings, she’s cracking up her foster family with her goofy antics. And after all that fun, she’s always ready to curl up for some shell-tered snuggles. If you’re looking for the best of both worlds—playful and affectionate—Hard Boiled is the perfect choice! Omelet (M): Omelet is proof that good things come in small packages! This little egghead is a tiny dynamo, always stirring up fun and whisking his siblings into playful chaos. Whether he’s pouncing on toys or sneaking into laps for an Eggs-tra cuddle, he’s got a way of making every moment egg-stra special. When playtime is over, Omelet enjoys a good, cozy nap—curled up like the fluffiest, warmest breakfast dish you’ve ever seen. Ready to add some flavor to your life? Omelet is ready to be served! Over Easy (M): With his soulful blue eyes and egg-ceptionally gentle nature, Over Easy is the cuddle king of the litter. He’s the first to flop into your lap for love and the last to leave, soaking up every bit of attention like a warm, buttery biscuit. He’s also got a love for adventure and isn’t afraid to get a little scrambled in the mud! His signature move? Placing a paw on your arm like he’s ordering extra snuggles—because he knows you can’t resist. If you’re looking for a puppy who will always keep things warm and cozy, Over Easy is ready to slide right into your heart. Poached (M): This little guy is always up to something! Poached is an eggs-pert at hide and seek, though his ever-wagging tail usually gives him away. He’s got a way of cracking up everyone he meets, whether it’s with his zoomies, his goofy expressions, or his habit of sneaking off with socks. With a heart full of playfulness and a nose for adventure, Poached is ready to scramble into a fun-loving home that will keep up with his playful energy. Don’t miss your chance to poach this little treasure! Scrambled (F): Scrambled is an absolute hoot—always on the go, always making people laugh, and always the star of the show! With her stunning blue eyes and wiggly, wacky personality, she knows how to ham it up for the camera. She loves zooming around with toys in her mouth, tossing them in the air, and making sure everyone is watching her latest performance. If you’re looking for a dog who will keep you entertained, keep you on your toes, and fill your life with joy, Scrambled is the perfect addition to your plate! Sunny Side Up (F): Sunny is pure sunshine in puppy form. A cuddle bug through and through, she lives for belly rubs and basking in attention. If she feels like she’s not getting enough love, she’ll flop onto her back like a perfectly cooked egg, waiting for the adoration she knows she deserves. With her sweet personality and irresistible puppy dog eyes, she’s destined to be the center of attention everywhere she goes. If you’re ready for a daily dose of sunshine, let Sunny Side Up brighten your world! A Day in the Life of the Egg Puppies: The puppies start their day at 7 AM, scrambling outside for potty time before returning for breakfast and some good old-fashioned puppy wrestling. Throughout the day, they engage in important activities like zoomies, toy thievery, and practicing their best puppy-dog eyes for extra treats. They spend their afternoons alternating between playtime and cozy naps, often piling on top of each other like the cutest omelet you’ve ever seen. In the evening, the house winds down with cuddle sessions, extra kisses, and one last potty break before they nestle into their crate for bedtime, dreaming of their future families. The Egg puppies currently live with a dog and cats, and they think both are absolutely egg-cellent! They love playing with their furry housemates (even if the resident pets aren’t always as egg-cited about it). Whether they’re gently booping the cat with their noses or learning the ropes from the older dog, these little eggs are eager to fit into any loving household. They’ll need continued training and socialization to ensure they grow into well-behaved, happy pups—but with their charm, they’ll crack your heart wide open in no time. March Madness is here, and while you're busy watching the games and snacking on your favorite apps, we've got the ultimate lineup of bite-sized perfection—meet the Appetizer Litter! These 3-4 month old Black Lab puppies were rescued from a shelter after being found abandoned in a field, and now they’re looking for their forever teams. They may have started as underdogs, but with their irresistible puppy breath, zoomies, and cuddle skills, they’re ready to be MVPs in their new homes. And before you ask—yes, they’re going to different homes, because every great team needs a star player!  Everyone loves a Lab, and for good reason. These dogs are the ultimate family companions—equally happy chasing soccer balls on the sidelines, camping under the stars, or riding shotgun to school pickup. They’re the best kind of “velcro dogs,” always by your side, whether you’re grilling in the backyard or binging your favorite show. Labs are the dogs that make childhood memories, the ones who sneak onto the couch when no one is looking, and the reason dog hair becomes a permanent part of your wardrobe (worth it, trust us!). If you're looking for a pup who will grow into the heart of your family, an Appetizer Litter pup is your perfect match. But maybe you’re not looking for a family dog—maybe you need a best friend. The kind of dog who makes solo road trips feel less lonely, who listens to every rant without judgment, and who sticks by your side through every heartbreak, triumph, and late-night ice cream binge. These are the dogs that Instagram reels are made of—the ones splashing through lakes, running along the beach at sunset, and hiking to the perfect scenic overlook. They’ll be your co-pilot on every adventure and your rock when life gets rough. Fiercely loyal, endlessly loving, and always up for whatever comes next—these pups will give you their whole heart and, if needed, their whole life. Tater Skins (Tato Potato) - The Playmaker Soft, silky, and as golden as a perfectly baked potato skin (if potatoes were black, of course), Tater Skins is the queen of the court and the cuddle. She’s bold, confident, and always leading the charge when it comes to puppy playtime. Got a toy? She’ll be the first to steal it. Got a lap? She’ll be the first to claim it. She’s got energy for days, but after a solid round of backyard sprints, she’s more than happy to curl up with you for a cozy halftime nap. Bonus points if you have a comfy chair—she loves waiting patiently for you to sit so she can snuggle in. If you’re looking for a pup who will keep you on your toes but also melt into your arms, Tater Skins is ready to be drafted to your team. Fried Pickles - The Underdog Champion Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside—just like his namesake, Fried Pickles is a little bit of everything. At first, he might seem like the quiet one, letting his sister take the lead, but don’t be fooled—he’s just as playful and full of antics. He’s the ultimate sidekick, always down for a game of chase, a good chew toy session, or an all-out puppy pile. When he’s not busy being adorable, he’s practicing his 'puppy dog eyes' technique, which is already at professional level. Looking for a sweet, playful pup who will follow you around like a shadow and give you the best snuggles? Fried Pickles is your guy. These all-star pups are crate-trained (well, mostly), working on their house training, and have been getting plenty of practice in running, jumping, and overall puppy mischief. They love kids, are good with other dogs, and are guaranteed to bring joy (and probably a little chaos) to any home. These bite-sized bundles of love are ready to spice up your life with their playful antics, puppy snuggles, and endless enthusiasm. If you’ve ever dreamed of a dog who can keep up with your every adventure, look no further—these pups are the perfect starter course to a lifetime of love. March Madness will be over soon, but the puppy madness is just beginning. If you're ready to add a tiny, wiggly, snack-sized superstar to your life, submit your adoption application now! Just remember—no double-dipping, they’re heading to different homes! March 15, 2025, 8:58 pm
