Meet Mars – an adorable 14-week-old black Labrador puppy who is sure to steal your heart. Rescued from a local shelter where he and his siblings were found as strays, Mars now awaits his forever home with a personality that's as charming as his appearance. Currently weighing about 22 lbs and projected to grow into a handsome 50-70 lb adult, Mars boasts a wonderful overall demeanor. He’s gentle, easygoing, and goes with the flow. While he isn’t house trained yet, his food-motivated nature makes him incredibly receptive to training, meaning he’ll pick up good habits quickly with the right guidance.
Mars loves to play and would thrive in a home that offers plenty of exercise and fun. He especially enjoys the company of other dogs, so a family with a pet companion would be ideal. A spacious yard is a must for him, as it would provide the room he needs to run, play, and explore – making apartments less suitable.

If your application is a good fit, the foster parent will reach out to schedule a meet-and-greet or request additional information. The first step of the process is submitting the application, no meet and greet can happen without this being completed.
Our dogs are all in foster homes all over the Bay Area from Sacramento to San Jose. Most meets happen at the fosters home. Please make sure the entire family is on board and ready to adopt. Most dogs can go home the same day as the meet and greet. All resident dogs and family must be present.
If this pup isn’t the perfect match, don’t worry. We’ll provide feedback and suggest alternative matches if possible. Your application remains active for 90 days, so you can still be considered for other dogs in our care. If another pup catches your eye within that period, just email us to have your application applied to a different dog.

The adoption fee for this dog is $550, serving as a non-refundable donation to help cover vetting, transport, and care costs. Adoption fees may vary based on specific needs.
