Story
Meet Misty, a wise and wonderful shepherd lab mix who’s nearing her 15th year. Misty embodies the grace and wisdom that only come with age. She’s spent her life being a loyal companion, and now she’s ready to find a quiet, loving home where she can enjoy her golden years. Like many seniors, Misty has faced a few challenges along the way. She’s a bit wary of strangers, especially when she’s not feeling her best. She is also selective about her doggie friends, sometimes feeling protective of her space or getting frustrated when on a leash. But don’t let that fool you—beneath it all, Misty has a heart of gold. Misty is looking for a special someone who understands the quirks that come with being a senior dog. She thrives in a calm, patient environment where she can relax and enjoy the simple pleasures of life—like a cozy bed, gentle ear rubs, and the warmth of a loving home. If you’re ready to open your heart to a senior dog who has so much love left to give, Misty is waiting to meet you. She may have a few extra needs, but she’ll reward you with endless loyalty and affection. Meet Misty, a wise and wonderful shepherd lab mix who’s nearing her 15th year. Biscuit was rescued from the shelter with her sister, Gravy. We don’t know how they landed in the shelter but we promised to find them the best forever homes in the world. We expect they will be in the medium range when they reach their adult weight. If you’re in the mood for a tasty treat, adopt Miss Biscuit!      Biscuit is an affectionate and playful puppy who can’t wait to take on the world with her people. She is super smart and food motivated which means training will be a blast. Biscuit has never met a stranger she hasn’t charmed effortlessly and we know she will be the star of every park she enters. Biscuit thinks she’s a total lapdog and even though she’s getting a bit too big for laps, she’s so darn cute we can’t bear to burst her bubble. Biscuit loves playing with her toys and her humans and will happily race around for hours. She would be an amazing addition to an active home who wants to go on adventures with a furry friend! She will give you so many kisses you’ll be able to take them to the bank! We are looking for homes who are prepared to take on all that is large breed puppyhood. Those who know Lab mixes will know how incredible she will be as she grows up. With her floppy ears and her puppy dog eyes, you’ll fall in love with Biscuit from the minute you meet her!  Biscuit wakes up at 7 AM and enjoys some playtime before she has her breakfast. She plays in the front yard of her foster home for an hour or so with her sister and her toys before coming inside for a long nap. She has a light lunch followed by some playtime and cuddles. This cycle repeats for the rest of the afternoon until dinner around 7 PM. In the evening, she plays some more until she’s all tired and ready for bed in her pen.  Biscuit has been well socialized with dogs of varying ages and sizes. She would love a playful companion in her forever home. Interested homes should be prepared to discuss continued training and socialization plans. She adores humans of all ages and would be an amazing addition to any home. We can’t wait for Biscuit to find her buttery forever home!      Biscuit is only an option for homes who have owned a dog of their own in the last 5 years. Kids should be over the age of 7.January 25, 2025, 12:03 am

Story
Boogie is a 78 lbs 7 year old black lab mix who is ready for his forever family or even someone who can foster him until we find him his permanent home. He is a big gentle softie with a heart of gold. Boogie has been coming out of his shell over the last week and now seeks human love and attention. He is relaxed and happy to snooze in his own. Boogie will fall asleep if you give him head scratches! He is very food-oriented and is quickly learning commands for treats. He is potty-trained and has excellent house manners. He loves his walks and does well on leash. He is very gentle towards smaller dogs (including my 32lb female dog), but particular with his canine companions but used to live with BABY who is also available for adoption separately or together. He is sweet and affectionate, low to medium energy, and ready to find a family that will love and take care of him

Dodos is such a sweet girl and well behaved but shy with meeting new people. Doudou is 2 years old, spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, up to date with flea/tick/worm meds. She is a Labrador retriever mix and she is potty trained, crate trained, leashed trained, knows basic commands, great for nail trims, bath, and cooperative care. She can also be shy with dogs and cats. She is fairly active so she enjoys playing fetch, car rides, going for walks, but she will also calm down for cuddles. Doudou deserves to start her life with her forever family. She would make the sweetest addition to your home. I’m happy to answer any questions. Story
Kam is 9 years old and is such a sweet boy. He is very high energy and loves to play with people and other dogs but also loves a good snuggle on your lap. My husband and I recently started traveling for work and we have tried taking him along with us over the last couple years but the change in routine and long schedules (I am a nurse and my husband is an business owner) has terribly increased his separation anxiety. Kam could use a loving and stable home. We adopted him in 2016 and he was already microchipped and neutered. He is up to date on all his vaccines. He is house trained and crate trained. We are helping Kam's current guardian to rehome him. Please fill out our online application and we will forward to them. Adoption fee would be minimum $100 donation to Furry Friends Rescue. If you have specific questions please send them through and we will put you in touch with his current guardian.November 4, 2024, 2:12 pm

If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered.       Adoption Fee: $1000   Cheers is a 1 year old Goldendoodle ready to ring in the New Year with her lucky forever people! Cheers was rescued from the shelter as the ball dropped to close out 2024. She was in desperate need of a good groom and some love which we provided in spades! Now, she’s ready to strut into your heart and get started on all the adventures you have planned. Cheers weighs 53 pounds. She has a non-shedding coat that will require regular brushing and grooming. Cheers can’t wait to meet you and get the pawty started!      Cheers is a playful and loyal pup hoping to find her new best friend! Once our girl made herself comfortable, she showed her foster how loving and affectionate she is! She’s a faithful little shadow who loves making herself known as you move about the house and it’s hard to resist a shadow as cute as her! Cheers loves her toys and is very much still in the puppy stage, so watch out for loose socks and baseball hats. As she has gotten acclimated, more of her amazing personality has come out and we have been delighted to discover her ever-growing list of favorite things. Cheers would love to find a family where her humans work from home or are home for most of the day so she can hang out! She also can’t wait to take on some adventures around the Bay Area and start checking off some bucket list items. Her foster mom calls her a “little princess” because she discovered the joy of soft dog beds and hasn’t looked back since. She also loves to cuddle so if you’re looking for a bedtime snuggle buddy, Cheers is your gal! It’s hard not to shout “hip hip hooray” when you have Cheers in your life!  Cheers wakes up around 6:30 ready for a day of playtime and snacks. She has breakfast and then goes out into the yard for sniffing and potty. After her morning nap, Cheers heads out on her morning walk followed by lots of playtime in the yard with her canine foster brother. They get along like only two playful doodles can and make the entire household laugh with their silly antics. Cheers gets a snack around 1 PM and then takes another nap. In the afternoon, she goes out on another walk followed by some more playtime in the backyard. Dinner is served at 7 PM followed by lots of snuggles until she heads to bed.  Cheers lives with a similarly sized doodle in her foster home and they are the best of friends. She gets along with humans of all ages but is a little shy when first meeting new people. She walks well on a leash and is fully house trained. She does well when she is brushed and her forever home should be ready to continue her coat upkeep. Cheers would benefit from some additional training and socialization as she continues growing up but she’s so eager to please it should be a blast. Keep the party going with Cheers!      Cheers is only an option for homes who have previously owned a dog of their own. Kids should be over the age of 7. January 25, 2025, 12:03 am

Maggie was rescued from the shelter after her former home wasn’t able to care for her. As you can see, she is quite the chunky gal and we started her weight loss journey day one. She needs to lose about 15-20 pounds to ensure she has many happy and healthy years to come. Ready for a magnificent new pal? adopt Maggie!      Maggie is a friendly and loving gal who wakes up every day determined to make it better than the last. She loves her humans and faithfully follows them wherever they go. She loves her soft beds and keeps mom company while she works from home. She was clearly very loved in her former home as she knows just how special she is.  you can see, our girl is very food motivated, so once she is down to a healthy weight we know she would love a personalized treat bar. Maggie loves her outdoor adventures and can keep up with any outing. Hikes, walks, errands, or trips to the beach? Just strap Maggie in and hit the road! Maggie has the brightest smile on her face and takes on the world with that effortless charm only a Golden Retriever mix could bring!   Maggie wakes up around 7 AM and goes outside to potty before greeting her humans. She has breakfast and then settles into her bed as foster mom gets the workday started. She follows the humans who work from home around for most of the day until her human foster brother comes home from school. Then, she goes on a long walk which she adores. She comes home for dinner and then spends the rest of the evening cuddling before bed. Maggie is super friendly with dogs of all ages and sizes. She adores all humans, whether she’s known them for five minutes or five years. She walks well on a leash though she can pull. Maggie would be a great fit for any home who knows and loves those larger breed pups. They hold a special place in your heart! Come meet Maggie today.     Maggie is an option for those who have owned dogs in the past. Kids should be over the age of 7.January 25, 2025, 9:19 am
