Story
Meet Judy, a SUPER cute 4 month old female Australian Cattle Dog (heeler) mix puppy! She is expected to grow to a medium sized dog. Judy is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone! Good with dogs, cats, people, and kids. Young puppies are like blank slates who, with proper socialization and training, will grow into wonderful dogs. From Judy's current foster: "Judy is sweet, smart, cuddly and great with other dogs!" Judy would do great with an active family familiar with herding breeds. She is a very smart, sweet girl who can't wait to find her furever home! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2285619##

Story
Meet Copper, a stunningly handsome 2 year old neutered male Australian Cattle Dog mix, weighing about 45 lbs! He is dad to the J and K litter pups. Before coming into rescue, Copper was kept outdoors only and had never lived in a home. It took him a little while to get used to living in a house, but he has adjusted very well in his TN foster home. He is now in New England and ready to find his furever home! Copper is a little timid at first, but he is a very sweet boy and he warms up quickly. He gets along well wiith other dogs, cats, people, and kids. Due to his past, he is not super comfortable being on a leash yet - while we do think he will adapt with positive reinforcement and fun activities on leash, he would prefer a home with a fenced in yard so he can freely explore outdoors. He is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet this special boy today! Story
"The Ultimate Adventure Buddy!" Are you ready to add some joy to your life?! Meet Dottie, a beautiful 9 month old spayed female Australian Cattle Dog/Rat Terrier mix! Born to mama Bessie on June 4, 2024, Dottie is one of the "7 Cowgirl Puppies." DNA testing on her sister confirms their primary breeds as  Australian Cattle Dog, Rat Terrier, and Australian Shepherd. Dottie is a petite girl weighing about 25 lbs, she may fill out a little bit more but we don't expect her to get much bigger. Dottie is a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly and is a very sweet, loving pup! She walks great on leash and is always up for a play session! She is good with other dogs and people (she has a high prey drive so no cats for this girl). Due to her breed mix and herding instincts, we recommend older kids 8+, or families experienced with herding breeds. Dottie is medically up to date, mostly housebroken (she has occasional accidents when not kept on a schedule), and crate trained (she LOVES her crate!).  Apply to meet this special girl today and get ready for a lifetime of laughter, adventure, and unconditional love!  Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Story
Meet the L Litter: Lenny, Lottie, Levi, Lester, and Lewis!   Lenny - Male, Birthday 2/14/24, Weight 34.8 pounds   This lovable crew is ready to steal your heart! These pups are just the right size—not too big, not too small, but perfect for snuggles on the couch and adventures in the great outdoors. With friendly, outgoing personalities, they love to romp and play with toys, chase balls, and wrestle with their doggy friends. These smart pups are eager to learn and full of potential, making them fantastic companions for a family or a solo adventurer looking for a hiking buddy, a town explorer, or just a loyal shadow to follow them around the house. And when the day is done? They’ll happily curl up by your side for some quality cuddle time.   These sweet pups come from an unwanted litter, but they were lovingly cared for by their owner, who hoped to find them homes before turning to us for help. While the owner described them as Heeler and Black and Tan Coonhound mixes, we think we see a dash of Pointer or Lab in their sleek coats and athletic builds. Their exact heritage may be a mystery, but one thing is certain: they’re 100% adorable and 100% ready for their forever homes.   Ready to meet your perfect-sized, loving adventure buddy? Lenny is waiting for you!     Check out more videos! Story
Windy is going to be a whole lot of fun for some lucky family. She is VERY adventurous, VERY active, VERY outgoing and has a zest for life. She is a friendly and happy girl as well and seems to love everyone that she meets. She really enjoys the outdoors too, so if you need a hand with the cattle, a hiking partner or running partner, I think she’ll be a good one. Given her activity level, she will need to be adopted by a fun and ACTIVE family. Windy didn’t come to us alone either, she came with her four puppies, which have already been adopted. Now that she has fulfilled her motherly duties it’s her turn for a better life. She is 4-5 years old and weighs 35-40 pounds. She has been spayed, 4DX heartworm tested, microchipped, fecal tested and is current on all vaccinations, worming and on heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is $400. Windy is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted she will be transported to her pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the Northeast area every week and her fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we cannot accept applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine since we can’t adopt directly to those states.

Story
Welcome Max to CCPAL Rescue. He is a Smooth Coated Collie/Heeler mix is our best guess. He weighs 35 pounds and he loves other dogs. He is very dog friendly with all types of other dogs. He is friendly with the horses and the donkeys in his foster home. He is good on a leash, potty trained and super affectionate. He knows sit and does it very well. He is very attentive and follows direction easily. He knows shake a paw with both paws and is great on a leash. He was an outside dog in his first home and a good Samaritan took him in. He has been with a vet that had PTSD and is sometimes too rough with him. He is very loving to women and also loves men after being at the Rescue for only a week or two. He loves all people and once he knows he is safe bonds deeply and is extremely loyal and devoted companion. He would be great for a hiker, walker, jogger or any one who wants a good companion to take with you. He would be great in a doggy daycare setting as he easily gets along well with all dog personalities. He is vaccinated, healthy, neutered and ready for his forever home. He loves children with open arms and has been around them regularly. This is a WONDERFUL dog and will be a great addition to any family wanting an easy dog to bring in. He would be great for a more novice adopter as he is smart, skilled and follows direction easily. He would be a great dog for a family with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org/ See his cute video.
