He dreams of walks and treats galore, his heart, your love, forevermore. Brownie, the Heeler, red and bright, a canine star, a pure delight. Story
Are you in search of a one-of-a-kind serial kisser? Well, look no further, because I, Mandy, am the dog you've been waiting for! I come with a mix of awesomeness and a charming personality that's sure to steal your heart. I can be delightfully laid-back, enjoying those calm moments, or I can transform into a bouncing ball of joy when the mood strikes. Walks and jogs? Count me in, especially if you're by my side. But here's the thing-I love playing with other dogs so much that I often choose their company over toys. Let's talk sunbathing. If your couch has that perfect spot for catching rays, you can bet I'll be there, soaking it all in. I'm a big fan of lounging, whether it's under tables, during dinner time, while you're working at your desk, or even when you're cuddled up in bed. I'm all about being close to my people, and if you choose to adopt me, I'll be all about you! I'm a sociable girl, getting along well with other dogs and kids (especially with submissive/non-dominant dogs). My crate training and potty training with a doggy door are top-notch. I'm a pro at commands like going to my crate and sitting patiently. Now, about my diet-here's the deal: I have EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency), which means my pancreas doesn't produce the enzymes I need to digest food properly. Thanks to some attentive rescuers and veterinary care, we've got it all figured out. I'll need a specific diet and a pancreatic enzyme replacement supplement to keep me feeling great. Think of it as a special appetizer and entree at every meal. EPI won't slow me down, and I'm ready to trade serial kisses for a loving forever home day in and day out. So, how about it? Mac is a sweet boy who knows what he wants! He does love to chase and play with animals smaller than him. Due to this we suggest that he does not go home to a family that has cats or things like chickens. Squirrels watch out! This little guy can move! Mac is a ham, you can't see it in his pictures but he LOVES attention :) He is good with other dogs and happy to be a friend or he could be an only dog and BASK in the undivided attention :) He is a lazy boy and does enjoy snoozing and spending time on the couch napping but at the same time can have his moments where he is ready to go. He is housebroken and does just fine in a crate! If he sounds like the boy for you then don't wait! Story
Luka and Gunner are the best of pals looking to share their love in a forever home with you! Gunner is a big 5-year-old teddy bear. His happy little swagger lights up a room! His 7-year-old brother Luka brings the fun with his cattle dog playfulness and that adorable face! Not only do they bring joy wherever they go, they certainly light up when they are together and we want to keep it that way! They are said to be happy pretty much all the time – Gunner loves a good belly rub and lounging with you, Luka loves running around outdoors, playing fetch, and bouncing through the snow. Gunner and Luka would love to go to a home together; they don’t need much, they thrive on love and kindness (okay and maybe a few more walks in the woods would be preferred!) They will well in many single home environments with some room to roam or play outside in a fenced in yard. They have never been exposed to cats, both are crate trained. To learn more about Luka, Gunner, and adding them to your home, please contact Our Companions at 860-242-9999 or email Helpline@OurCompanions.org!

Story
Welcome Max to CCPAL Rescue. He is a Smooth Coated Collie/Heeler mix is our best guess. He weighs 35 pounds and he loves other dogs. He is very dog friendly with all types of other dogs. He is friendly with the horses and the donkeys in his foster home. He is good on a leash, potty trained and super affectionate. He knows sit and does it very well. He is very attentive and follows direction easily. He knows shake a paw with both paws and is great on a leash. He was an outside dog in his first home and a good Samaritan took him in. He has been with a vet that had PTSD and is sometimes too rough with him. He is very loving to women and also loves men after being at the Rescue for only a week or two. He loves all people and once he knows he is safe bonds deeply and is extremely loyal and devoted companion. He would be great for a hiker, walker, jogger or any one who wants a good companion to take with you. He would be great in a doggy daycare setting as he easily gets along well with all dog personalities. He is vaccinated, healthy, neutered and ready for his forever home. He loves children with open arms and has been around them regularly. This is a WONDERFUL dog and will be a great addition to any family wanting an easy dog to bring in. He would be great for a more novice adopter as he is smart, skilled and follows direction easily. He would be a great dog for a family with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Story
Meet Anari, a delightful Australian Cattle Dog in search of a loving forever home. At 6 years old, Anari has already experienced some of life's challenges, but with the right environment and patient care, he has the potential to be a devoted companion. Anari gets along well with other dogs, making him an excellent choice for families or individuals who already have furry friends at home. He understands the dynamics of canine socialization and is likely to thrive in a household where he can engage in play and companionship with other dogs. Due to his past experiences, Anari tends to be a bit shy and cautious when encountering new people or situations. It is important to provide him with a calm and secure environment, allowing him the time and space to adjust at his own pace. With patience and understanding, you will witness his true personality shine as he gradually comes out of his shell. When initially meeting new people, Anari may exhibit protective behavior by barking, almost like a guard dog. This is his way of expressing caution and fear, which can be mitigated through positive reinforcement and gentle handling. As he gains trust and becomes more familiar with his surroundings, his guard barking is likely to subside. Once Anari feels comfortable and secure, he settles into his new environment and demonstrates his true nature. His shyness transforms into a loyal and affectionate demeanor, creating a special bond between him and his adopter. The more he is handled and shown patience, the more he will flourish and become an integral part of the family. Anari would benefit from a calm and structured household, where his need for routine and stability can be met. Engaging him in regular exercise and mental stimulation, such as puzzle toys or obedience training, will not only keep him physically fit but also provide a sense of purpose and accomplishment. If you are an experienced dog owner who understands the needs of a shy and sensitive dog, Anari could be the perfect addition to your family. His journey to overcome his fears and blossom into a confident companion will be a rewarding experience for both of you. Open your heart and home to Anari, and you will witness the transformation of a timid dog into a loyal and loving lifelong friend. Link to apply: http://www.kcpetrescue.org/adoption-services.html

Story
To adopt please fill out an adoption application. Calm, low energy, low maintenance. Katy is a 5yo female Australian Cattle Dog mix who was rescued running down the highway in rural TN summer 2024. Her rescuers were an older couple who took Katy home and made her part of the family which includes 3 other dogs. Not cat tested. Okay with older dog savvy kids. Good house manners. Housebroken but never crated because she doesn’t need to be. Obeys basic commands.  Loves to be with her people.  Initially, Katy tested positive for heartworms but she was treated without complications and cured. Healthy and fully vetted, current on shots, spayed, weighs about 50 pounds. Here’s some info from Katy’s rescuer/owner:   We found Katy near a busy intersection 10 months ago and decided to keep her but we have 3 high energy dogs and our female recently started picking on Katy. For Katy's sake, we think she is better suited in a much lower energy environment. She’s rather uninterested and indifferent when it comes to other dogs and is happy with her place in the pack. She is fine to co-exist with other dogs, but does not seem to want to engage in play that much. So, she would not be an ideal candidate for an adopter who specifically wants an active playmate for their first dog.  Katy wants a calm environment. If she sees other dogs play fighting, she becomes a “hall monitor” and tries to stop them. If a dog runs past her, she’ll sometimes try to grab them, not in an aggressive way, but just to calm them down like a hall monitor would. (That’s the cattle dog in her!). We let Katy spend the night with a friend who has a dog. Everything was fine until the dog next door came over to play and out came the hall monitor. Katy is a sweet, happy, respectful, and low energy dog. She likes giving and receiving affection, but it’s best to invite her to come to you for affection instead of going in for a big hug. If you get down on her level, she’ll come to you. She doesn’t like sudden, unexpected intrusions into her space. She prefers being pet instead of hugs. Her ideal adopter would be an adult couple or single that wants a happy walking buddy or just a sweet companion. A calm, low energy environment. No small children but she would be fine with older dog savvy kids. No other dogs or maximum one low energy dog. To adopt please fill out an adoption application.Contact us at reply@gooddogrescue.com  visit us at Good Dog RescueMarch 7, 2025, 4:17 pm

Story
This handsome red heeler mix puppy is called Ernie and he and his brother Bert and their mom were found in a barn where they had been raised by their stray mother. Their mother was barely hanging on to life. The happy ending to her story is she is living with a wonderful family now and is loved and Ernie is looking for a wonderful family too raise him, love him, and bring his own special joy to. Ernie is a really delightful and well adjusted 6-month-old puppy that weighs 26 lb. He is a friendly little guy that enjoys meeting people and loves to chase a ball and bring it back to you. His innocence and love for life is contagious. He craves being with people that like him and speak kind words to him. He will crawl in your lap and be your best little buddy. His foster mom who raised he and his brother Bert says that he has the best temperament and personality. Recently this little guy went to a yoga class at the YMCA and had so much fun. It was a totally new and unique environment and he handled it with great poise and embraced all of the Zen vibes going on. Ernie is housebroken, crate trained, loves being around other cats and dogs alike and adores children. There isn't a living creature on this earth that he doesn't like. He is learning quite well,  how to walk on a leash and he rides in a car like a pro. He would be a great dog to take for hikes, long walks, outdoor events and adventures, and of course he would be a hit at any family reunions. Ernie is ready to call a family and their home his very own. If you are interested in making Ernie your perfect little sidekick in life, Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 28, 2025, 12:57 pm

Story
My given name from my foster mom is exactly who I am. Asta... this name means "divine strength", "love", and "star-like". I was abandoned by my first family on the side of the highway for a few months with my sister Kinsley. She was my protector during that time. I was terribly traumatized by being abandoned. Today I'm a shining star with beautiful grey eyes that match my coat. I like to play and go on backyard adventures with my sister and dog foster family. I like everyone and get along with other dogs and I'm a bit submissive and respectful towards everyone. I have beautiful pleading grey eyes that draw attention and make most ppl say awwwww and have a low key nature about me. We love each other very much and want to stay together for life! Please find it in your heart to adopt us together! We promise years of love and fun :) Local adoption fee together is $300 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee together is $600 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Nebula, a truly beautiful dog. While her past holds some hardship – she was found living on the streets with her seven puppies – her spirit shines through.
