She is potty trained and good in a crate. We think she may not have stayed home a lot as a puppy and didn’t get the interactions with other people that they need as a puppy. She is timid of new people but she is a nice dog. She is not over the top active and would be fine with a moderately active family. I think her best home is as an only dog where it is quiet and she can get all the attention. She would be great with a person that has a quieter home and is more of a stay home kind of person and doesn’t care that their dog also wants to be a home body. She would be best with someone that doesn’t want a social butterfly but just seeks companionship. She would be fine around children. I would say older like 10 or more. A retired single or couple would be her ideal pick if she could talk. She is healthy, vaccinated and spayed and ready for her forever home. Welcome Ginger to the CCPAL Foster Program. Ginger is an 18 month old Australian Cattle dog/Terrier mix. She weighs 27 pounds. She loves toys and her new favorite is a purple elephant. She has been a very good mamma dog to her puppies. They are extremely healthy and well cared for. She was dumped on a construction site and we are not sure if she was pregnant or got pregnant on the site. It was extremely hot and dangerous for any dog especially a pregnant one. A good Samaritan picked her up and a foster stepped up for her to have the puppies. The puppies are now weaned so she will be spayed soon. She is also getting treatment for heartworms and will be ready in a few weeks for her forever home. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is an alpha dog but does get along with other dogs. She would be fine as an only dog or could go with another dog. She would be great for a family that is athletic and outdoorsy. She isn’t a dog that needs to be entertained. She is very content playing with her toys and running around the yard playing keep away with her pups. She is a nice medium sized dog. He weighs 51 pounds and is about a year old, still a baby with sparkling white teeth! He is GREAT with the other dogs in the yard, but plays a little too rough for smaller dogs. He has a chill disposition and isn’t dominant with the other dogs. Magellan is super smart and did great during his brief time in a temporary home. He learned sit and down quickly, and he does well in his crate. He loves to cuddle. Magellan loves to play!
