APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application/ We must have an application to move forward. (Shayne's Rescue is an affiliate with PetCentralSATX). If there are problems with the website, please email me for help. COWBOY is a family dog… about 1 ½ yrs old…63#...Red Heeler aka Australian Cattle Dog. He has been a part of the Foster’s family for over 6 months and has become the “teaching” cowboy to any new dogs that come in. He teaches them to go outside to potty through the doggie door and to go lay down on the dog bed to be out of the way. He leaves the cats alone as long as they don’t run…if they do, then the chase is on. He is kennel trained (though he much prefers to be out with you). He is loyal, attentive, and calm. He is easy-going and wants to learn. He bonds easily He is fairly good on the leash…he will pull if something really interests him…but otherwise he is right there with you. Cowboy will make a great dog for someone who loves to go out walking, hiking, boating. Heelers are known for loving the water. He loves to be right with you everywhere you go and everything you do, he’s your sidekick. He enjoys playing with other friendly, dogs. He doesn’t play rough and prefers dogs who reflect his gentle play style. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at petcentralsatx@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to the NE. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
Welcome Astrid to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 2.5-year-old Cattle Dog and Lab mix maybe. She was adopted as a puppy and returned as an adult. She is now a bit of a timid adult. She is potty trained and good in a crate. We think she may not have stayed home a lot as a puppy and didn’t get the interactions with other people that they need as a puppy. She is timid of new people but she is a nice dog. She is not over the top active and would be fine with a moderately active family. I think her best home is as an only dog where it is quiet and she can get all the attention. She would be great with a person that has a quieter home and is more of a stay home kind of person and doesn’t care that their dog also wants to be a home body. She would be best with someone that doesn’t want a social butterfly but just seeks companionship. She would be fine around children. I would say older like 10 or more. A retired single or couple would be her ideal pick if she could talk. She is healthy, vaccinated and spayed and ready for her forever home. She can be adopted locally in Texas where she is with the rescue. We can also use one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Ginger to the CCPAL Foster Program. Ginger is an 18 month old Australian Cattle dog/Terrier mix. She weighs 27 pounds. She loves toys and her new favorite is a purple elephant. She has been a very good mamma dog to her puppies. They are extremely healthy and well cared for. She was dumped on a construction site and we are not sure if she was pregnant or got pregnant on the site. It was extremely hot and dangerous for any dog especially a pregnant one. A good Samaritan picked her up and a foster stepped up for her to have the puppies. The puppies are now weaned so she will be spayed soon. She is also getting treatment for heartworms and will be ready in a few weeks for her forever home. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is an alpha dog but does get along with other dogs. She would be fine as an only dog or could go with another dog. She would be great for a family that is athletic and outdoorsy. She isn’t a dog that needs to be entertained. She is very content playing with her toys and running around the yard playing keep away with her pups. She is a nice medium sized dog. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Max to CCPAL Rescue. He is a Smooth Coated Collie/Heeler mix is our best guess. He weighs 35 pounds and he loves other dogs. He is very dog friendly with all types of other dogs. He is friendly with the horses and the donkeys in his foster home. He is good on a leash, potty trained and super affectionate. He knows sit and does it very well. He is very attentive and follows direction easily. He knows shake a paw with both paws and is great on a leash. He was an outside dog in his first home and a good Samaritan took him in. He has been with a vet that had PTSD and is sometimes too rough with him. He is very loving to women and also loves men after being at the Rescue for only a week or two. He loves all people and once he knows he is safe bonds deeply and is extremely loyal and devoted companion. He would be great for a hiker, walker, jogger or any one who wants a good companion to take with you. He would be great in a doggy daycare setting as he easily gets along well with all dog personalities. He is vaccinated, healthy, neutered and ready for his forever home. He loves children with open arms and has been around them regularly. This is a WONDERFUL dog and will be a great addition to any family wanting an easy dog to bring in. He would be great for a more novice adopter as he is smart, skilled and follows direction easily. He would be a great dog for a family with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Story
Welcome Birdie to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 6-month-old dog. She is an Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie. She weighs about 30 pounds and considered a medium sized dog. She is smart and knows a lot of commands. She walks good on a leash, potty trained, good in a car, knows sit, knows trade (which) you can use to swap out what she has in her mouth with something else and a few more things. You can see the other commands in the video. We have them written on her paperwork. She is very smart and attentive. She calms down nicely and can work with some moderate distractions. She has been in foster care and the foster did a lot of work getting her ready. She would be fine in a home with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She would be best with an active outdoorsy family that wants a loveable companion to join their home. She would make a good walking companion for someone and due to her size would be able to do some brisk walking. She has the long beautiful coat of the border collie. She is looking for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200.
