Story
This girl is 26 pounds of energy and love. She had to be captured by the local animal control officer and was prettified. She was lunging and growling and very upset. But something in her eye just pleaded for me to help her. So I picked her up from the shelter and brought her home where George (our cat) helped me show her that humans and other animals are good. George helped her calm down and let her guard down and after about an hour she was giving me lots of kisses. She is hilarious and is definitely a lover. She may need a couple of minutes to feel safe, but once she does, she is glued to you. She is extremely smart, loves to go for rides, walks and hikes or any adventure (we went kayaking) She prefers not to be left alone as she does have some separation anxiety. This little girl is ready for her happily ever after. Please visit funnyfarmpets.org to read all about our TN based rescue and how the adoption process works. Her adoption fee is $325 and if transport is necessary that is an additional $200 We are hoping to find her someone local to TN. She is a special girl who will need a special mom or dad to navigate through her fears. I may end up writing a book about her as she has given me lots of great stories.

Story
Well, hey there, pals! The name's Blue Bella, and let me paint you a picture of this stunning 8-month-old heeler that you're lucky enough to lay your peepers on. I've got all my vet visits checked off, I've got a microchip in case I get lost on one of my epic adventures, I'm a pro at doing my business outside, and I can cozy up in my crate like it's a 5-star hotel suite.   But hold on a second, don't be fooled by my pretty face - there's more to me than meets the eye! I'm not just cute, I'm also overflowing with affection and sharp as a tack. I'm always eager to learn new tricks and keep my mind buzzing with activity. I've got big dreams of becoming the ultimate boss babe, so I need a forever family that's ready to keep up with my energetic spirit.   And let's not forget about my social skills - I'm a total pro at hanging out with other dogs and kiddos. Cats? Well, we might need a bit of a slow introduction, but with some patience and proper training, I'm sure we can all become the best of pals.   So, if you're on the hunt for a fun-loving, intelligent pup like me, buckle up and get ready for the ride of a lifetime! Do your homework on my breed, lace up your hiking boots, and let's embark on some unforgettable adventures together. We'll make memories that'll last a lifetime, guaranteed!   Approved application required prior to setting up a meet and greet   Please call your vet ahead of time to give them permission to release a reference - this will significantly expedite the application process!    Application to adopt - www.astdogrescue.com/dog-application ##2105639##

Story
Welcome Astrid to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 2.5-year-old Cattle Dog and Lab mix maybe. She was adopted as a puppy and returned as an adult. She is now a bit of a timid adult. She is potty trained and good in a crate. We think she may not have stayed home a lot as a puppy and didn’t get the interactions with other people that they need as a puppy. She is timid of new people but she is a nice dog. She is not over the top active and would be fine with a moderately active family. I think her best home is as an only dog where it is quiet and she can get all the attention. She would be great with a person that has a quieter home and is more of a stay home kind of person and doesn’t care that their dog also wants to be a home body. She would be best with someone that doesn’t want a social butterfly but just seeks companionship. She would be fine around children. I would say older like 10 or more. A retired single or couple would be her ideal pick if she could talk. She is healthy, vaccinated and spayed and ready for her forever home. She can be adopted locally in Texas where she is with the rescue. We can also use one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Ginger to the CCPAL Foster Program. Ginger is an 18 month old Australian Cattle dog/Terrier mix. She weighs 27 pounds. She loves toys and her new favorite is a purple elephant. She has been a very good mamma dog to her puppies. They are extremely healthy and well cared for. She was dumped on a construction site and we are not sure if she was pregnant or got pregnant on the site. It was extremely hot and dangerous for any dog especially a pregnant one. A good Samaritan picked her up and a foster stepped up for her to have the puppies. The puppies are now weaned so she will be spayed soon. She is also getting treatment for heartworms and will be ready in a few weeks for her forever home. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is an alpha dog but does get along with other dogs. She would be fine as an only dog or could go with another dog. She would be great for a family that is athletic and outdoorsy. She isn’t a dog that needs to be entertained. She is very content playing with her toys and running around the yard playing keep away with her pups. She is a nice medium sized dog. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
