Story
Hello, I'm Xena! I'm on the lookout for a forever home where I can truly thrive and share my unique personality with a loving family. I was surrendered to the shelter because my previous owner was moving and couldn't take me along, but I'm excited to find a new place to call home. As a cattle dog, I come with all the breed's typical traits, including a bit of attitude. A family experienced with my breed would be absolutely ideal! I'm a bit of a bossy girl, but with some guidance and training, I know I can learn to be a bit more relaxed. If you're up for working on my behaviors with me, I promise I'll reward you with loyalty and love. I might be a bit shy when we first meet, and I'll need a few visits to really warm up to you. But once I do, I'm ready to be your best friend. I'm a big fan of treats and tennis balls-these are my go-to ways to show my excitement and joy! I'd prefer to be in an adult-only home or one with older kids who can give me the space I need while I settle in. I might experience some separation anxiety if left alone, but my friends here can help explain how to manage that when you come to meet me. I've previously lived with a cat and absolutely adored them, so if you have a feline friend, I might just be the perfect match! If you think I could be the girl for you, reach out to my friends here at the shelter to set up a meeting. I can't wait to meet you and see if we're a perfect match! Story
Meet Miss Callie! This girl is as sweet as they come! Her story did not start out so good though. A good samaritan found her and her 4 puppies in a sewerage drain in a rural town in Tx on the Mexico border. She was very fearful of humans and with good reason. The kids and adults in the area treated this family horribly while they were on the streets. One thing we do know for a fact was that she was shot by someone. In order to get this family to safety, Callie had to be shot with a tranquilizer gun because she was so fearful. Thank God those days are behind her now!! She has absolutely blossomed with her current foster. Callie is a little standoffish with strangers, so she will just need a family that is patient and will allow her a couple days to open up. She loves to play with other dogs and is a great cuddler! She has done well with children, cats are unknown but she is pretty laid back. If you would like to make this sweet girl a part of your family, please complete the online application to begin the process. https://furrytailendingscaninerescue.org/adoption-application/ **A PHYSICAL FENCED IN YARD IS STRONGLYPREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED** ** BREED MIX DNA CONFIRMED** **PLEASE NOTE EMAILS FROM THE SITE EXPRESSING YOUR INTEREST IN ADOPTING WILL NOT BE ANSWERED. Story
Meet Tucker!! This adorable little guy was found as a stray back in Jan in a rural part of Tx. We had him placed with a foster until we could complete his vetting & to social him with other people and animals. Mr Tucker made his way to NJ Mar 8th and it was a few days later that we noticed he was limping. We had him seen by our vet when it was discovered that he had a broken leg. He was than taken to an orthopedic on 03/19 and his surgery was scheduled for the following week. Tucker has completely healed and has been cleared by the orthopedic for adoption! Tucker is now 8 1/2 mos old, he is fully vetted (vacs/neutered/chip). Tucker is great with other dogs, totally fine with cats, and good with kids. He is a mix of 4 breeds and given that 2 of those are herding breeds, a home with kids 8 yrs and older would be best. If you would like to make this sweet boy a part of your family, please complete the online application to begin the process. https://furrytailendingscaninerescue.org/adoption-application/ **A PHYSICAL FENCED IN YARD IS STRONGLY PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED** ** BREED MIX DNA CONFIRMED** **PLEASE NOTE EMAILS FROM THE SITE EXPRESSING YOUR INTEREST IN ADOPTING WILL NOT BE ANSWERED. Story
Asher is a quiet, gentle and independent dog looking for a special someone to spend his days with. He is an adult male and is good with other dogs that are more laid back making he a good fit for a senior dog, making him a great addition to your family or a lovely companion for a solo adventurer. Asher is a well-mannered dog with a heart of gold and a soul that's as gentle as they come. If you're looking for a loyal companion, Asher is the one for you. Please consider adopting Asher, he's more than ready to shower you with unconditional love and loyalty once he learns to trust you. Asher is a 1 1/2 yr old that is so so sweet but fearful of new situations and people. It doesn't take him long to warm up to you but a quieter home will definitely be a better fit for him. He is good with other dogs as long as they are on the more reserved side and not constantly in his face. He is fully vetted (neuutered/vacs/chipped), housebroken, and crate trained although he doesn't need it. If you would like to make this sweet boyl a part of your family, please complete the online application to begin the process. https://furrytailendingscaninerescue.org/adoption-application/ **A PHYSICAL FENCED IN YARD IS REQUIRED** ** BREED MIX IS DNA CONFIRMED, MIX OF 6 BREEDS** **PLEASE NOTE EMAILS FROM THE SITE EXPRESSING YOUR INTEREST IN ADOPTING WILL NOT BE ANSWERED. Story
Sam is truly the best dog - not a mean bone in him and loves everyone. Way cuter in person. Sam is just over a year old and is about 42 lbs of love and affection. He loves to be with his people and other dogs, and we can cat test. He is up for anything and truly just a fun, sweet, easy-peasy, eager to please, playful little guy. A great family dog in need of a great forever family. So much cuter in person and we are guessing at breeds, but he is adorable!!  LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER (Pregnant Dog Rescue) is a private, in home, all breed rescue facility. We exist only on the kindness of your donations and adoptions! We pride ourselves on being an HOLISTIC center and feed only holistic foods and various vitamins and supplements to all of our dogs. LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER dogs are well socialized, very friendly, and in wonderful health.  We stand by our pups/dogs, and give 10 days for a refund and almost always take our dogs back at any age of their lives (often depends on dog)! LMAC has an application screening process.  All applicants are asked to provide vet references, personal references, and a home visit.  We pride ourselves in matching up the right dog with the right home. Sometimes this happens quickly and sometimes it might take awhile. We hope you understand and are willing to wait for the perfect pup for your situation. We reserve the right to turn applicants down and to change our mind about a suitable match, for we are only concerned about what is best for our dogs.  Also note that we arrange our visiting hours around your schedule, as this is a private, in home facility.  We respond to all inquiries promptly, so if you have any trouble sending us an email, or have not heard back from us within 24 hours, please, CONTACT US AGAIN and check your spam!  (We all know how emails can be at times!) Our dogs are spayed or neutered (if old enough), up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm tested, and free of fleas and ticks.  We temperament test our  dogs and they are all suitable for many family situations. Our dogs are well mannered, know some basic commands, and are usually housebroken within a week of being with us (if old enough).  They are in our family/home situation at this time (not in kennels or crates, although most are crate trained) and are worked with daily.  All of our dogs do well with other dogs and many do well with cats. Adoption donations vary with age, breed, vetting, and training of the dog, and range from $250 to $695 (most being $595).  (We do not tend to place puppies or small dogs with kids under 6 and reserve the right to match who WE feel would be the best homes for our dogs.)  August 18, 2024, 2:43 pm
