We must have an application to move forward.
COWBOY is a family dog… about 1 ½ yrs old…63#...Red Heeler aka Australian Cattle Dog. He has been a part of the Foster’s family for over 6 months and has become the “teaching” cowboy to any new dogs that come in. He teaches them to go outside to potty through the doggie door and to go lay down on the dog bed to be out of the way. He leaves the cats alone as long as they don’t run…if they do, then the chase is on. He is kennel trained (though he much prefers to be out with you). He is loyal, attentive, and calm. He is easy-going and wants to learn. He bonds easily He is fairly good on the leash…he will pull if something really interests him…but otherwise he is right there with you. Cowboy will make a great dog for someone who loves to go out walking, hiking, boating. Heelers are known for loving the water. He loves to be right with you everywhere you go and everything you do, he’s your sidekick. He enjoys playing with other friendly, dogs. He doesn’t play rough and prefers dogs who reflect his gentle play style.
This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting.
All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog.
HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/
This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose.
Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.
