This boy is incredibly sweet but needs some training. After spending time in a foster home, it's clear he requires professional guidance. Although it's hard to determine his exact breed mix, he exhibits herding behaviors and needs to improve his social cues with other dogs. He is friendly with dogs but sometimes struggles to understand when they signal that he's being too much. He doesn't do well with small dogs.Toby was brought in as a stray on April 27th and is eager to find his perfect home! His time as a stray shows in his need for improvement in manners and overall behavior. Toby would thrive in a home with either no dogs or one dog and would make an excellent hiking buddy for an active person. He has so much love to give, and we want to find the right home for him.

Frankie was born in 2017 and has been with us since 2018. Frankie is a little on the nervous side with new people and needs a new family that will give him a little time to come out of his shell because of a neurological disorder. Once he does though, he would love to have a space to run around and act like his big goofy self! He is not a fan of the kennel, but does well in a yard and is calm once he is comfortable with his settings. He loves to play with fetch and play with ropes. He is a very smart boy. Kiwi is a super playful and smart girl. She even plays gently with smaller creatures like cats and rabbits. She is potty trained and has caught on quickly to simple commands like Sit and Stay. Kiwi is shy at first but quickly warms up. She was born 6/29/2019We got Kiwi & Peaches from the shelter as itty bitty pups, and soon found out that both of them had CHV (Canine Herpesvirus). Most puppies die at 2 weeks from this, however these two were fighters and besides runny noses here and there, are doing really well. They can have it the rest of their lifes and will be sick from time to time and because there is just not a lot documented on situations like this we have no idea what their future health could be. Sweet Opal was found in February 2021 with her babies. She was completely feral and seemed like she had never had human contact. She went to a foster home where she got to spend time with her babies until they were ready to be adopted. As soon as she was ready, she was brought to our facility where she would be in contact with more people and start socializing and trusting people. It has taken several months but the staff and volunteers can walk her on a leash a little bit more each day. Her friend Huey gives her more confidence. She would do good in a home where she can come and have her space and take her time to warm up. She will shy away and but does not get aggressive at all. That's the reason we want her to make a smooth transition when finding her forever home. Opal would do great with a doggie sibling that could teach her to accept love and learn to be a happy trusting dog. We love her at the rescue and hope she finds that family to love and trust. Opal is believed to be between 2 and 3 years old. The owner of these dogs died after a brief illness. We took them in when she became ill and have had them since. Huck (10yo) is a male and Finn (3 yo) female. Finn has been with Huck since she was a puppy so we'd like to keep them together if possible. Huck is the alpha of the two for sure. Finn is timid and she. We've not had them around other animals or kids since we got them. My wife is a teacher and starting school soon. I travel for work. We don't have a fenced yard so they are suffering for lack of space to run and play. Best case for one or both of them would be a loving family with a fenced yard and probably kids to play with them. They're sweet dogs but we can't keep them.
