You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Want to meet me? Come to the Canines for Clean Water event in Powderhorn Park near the Community Center (3421 S 15th Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55407-2234) for an Adoption Event - Thursday, Aug. 22nd from 6:30-7:30 pm. Stay for the Movie in the Park at dusk: Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. Please email inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com for questions regarding the dogs. Hi there! I’m Stella, a 3-year-old Boxer Bulldog mix. I’m a relaxed and lazy girl around the house, always on the lookout for a cozy spot to chew on my favorite bone or snuggle with my foster siblings and humans. One of my favorite pastimes is watching the neighborhood squirrels from the window—I've gotten so good at calmly observing them without barking! My favorite toys are filled bones, my two beloved pink toys that I love to shred, and a stuffed elephant with a squeaker that I love to destroy. While I'm not the biggest fan of being outside, I've grown to enjoy my daily walks, especially now that I'm more comfortable on a leash. A big yard with a tall fence would be great for me, especially for potty training and using up some energy. If you don't have a fence, we can go on daily walks together to get my exercise.  Once that is out, I'm a happy couch potato.  Having another dog in my foster home show me how has been helpful.  I'd love another dog my size in my forever home, but I could be an only pup, too, if you humans are home often and promise to spend time with me.  Speaking of potty breaks, I’m doing great with potty training, although have had accidents in my kennel. I usually go potty on the concrete or the back porch, but I’m learning to use the grass too! I’m very smart and have been working hard on my house manners and know some cool commands like 'Sit,' 'Come,' 'Kennel/Crate,' 'Outside,' and 'Go Potty.' I absolutely adore kids, but I can get a bit excited and might accidentally knock over small children. I’m working on being gentle but don’t always know my size. I love to play with other confident dogs after a slow introduction and enjoy running and playing with them. I do get excited around cats at first, but once I settle in, I mostly ignore them. I’m what you would call a high-energy dog and it can appear as high energy reactiveness when I meet new dogs, so an experienced dog owner that can do proper introductions would help me remember to be polite and thrive.  Once I settle in and we get that excited energy out, then we can Netflix and chill and nap together.  I’m a sweet, loving girl who would thrive in an active family with dog experience and perhaps some kids to play and cuddle with. I need a confident pet parent who understands different play styles and dog body language to monitor me during playtime. I promise to bring lots of joy and love to my forever family. Could that be you? Love, Stella *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Come say hi! I'll be at Lonsdale Community Days 8/10 from 11-1 at  104 Railway Street N.W. Lonsdale, MN 55046 Hi! I’m Colton, the silliest boxer mix boy there ever was. I live for toys and I trot around like a champion and show it off to my humans when I find a good one. I also love to go on walks with my humans. We are working on not pulling on the leash and I am a quick learner but do need a reminder once in awhile.  No fenced in yard needed for me, but hey, if you had one, that sure would be fun to run around in and patrol your yard.  I am potty and crate trained, too. Smart huh? I would love to keep learning new things and take an obedience class with you so we can be the smartest duo the world has ever seen.  I would do best in a home with an active owner and either a female dog, a non alpha male dog, or your only dog so we can be besties.  As far as humans go, I love all of them and if you promise to love me, I will happily return the favor with kisses and adventures.  I haven't met any young kids, but when I get excited, I jump for big hugs and would likely knock small ones over.  Also, if they had snacks in their hands, I'd assume they were giving that to me... right? So, I'd probably be best with older kids. Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. What we know about Gus: Great with dogs Great with kids (has lived with kids and another dog previously) Awesome temperament Calm, great on a leash About 2 years old Potty trained Crate trained Loves snuggles Gus is located in East, TN. But if you are seeing this on adopt-a-pet, transport fees are included in the adoption fee. Out of state adopters are welcomed. Transport is available to your area in the NorthEast or Great Lakes area. We use the most animal friendly transport on the road (Rescue Riders Transport)! What we know about Gus: Dog Friendly Kid Friendly Has lived with kids and another dog previously Awesome temperament NO cats Calm, great on a leash About 2 years old Potty trained Crate trained Loves snuggles Gus came to us extremely underweight, nearly bald, with open wounds all over his body due to Demodex mange. He has since recovered fully and is ready to find his forever family! Gus was far too interested in the cats when we cat tested him as his herding instincts are present with these types of animals. However, he is great with other dogs and we use him to help introduce new dogs to the rescue. He also does fantastic with the 3 year old human on the rescue property! Gus has gone out on multiple Doggie Day Outs and did so well each time! He was his happiest self at the dog park with his rescue buddy (Folly) who has since been adopted. He likes to meet new people and go for car rides! We think he could be a heeler mix because of the speckles but we truly still don’t have a great idea about breed. The regrowth of hair didn’t help us with this as much as we thought it would 😂 Note: Since Gus has a history of Demodex mange, this means he is genetically predisposed to this condition if he does not take flea/tick prevention regularly. He is currently on Simparica Trio and doing so well. Please let us know if you have any questions about this condition!

Story
Spotacus is a 1.5 y/o super sweet, funky pup who looks like a 65 lb brindle Boston terrier. Spotacus is quickly becoming a volunteer favorite - described as a calm and easygoing guy. He recently joined a volunteer on a field trip to a local brewery and was an absolute hit, earning the title of “perfect gentleman.” He loved getting pets, meeting new people, and soaking in all the attention. Spotacus is a dream on walks, taking time to stop and smell the roses—literally! In his first playgroup, Spotacus had a lot of energy at first but once he settled down, his body language became much more relaxed and mutual and he did well. As with bringing home any new dog, he should have slow intros to resident animals.

Story
Izzy is a boxer baby, and she is everything you’d want a pup to be. She gives top notch snuggles with her floppy paws, tug-of-war (and shoe lace untying) champion, great with kids and cats, stays glued to your side indoors or out, wholeheartedly loves her people, and considers herself one of the pack! She has energy for days, but naps like a champ when she’s tuckered out. This little girl is a special little pup, and she deserves the most wonderful “happily ever after”! ❤️ Izzy is estimated to be 3 months old and 11 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. If you are interested in meeting this dog please complete the adoption application on our website at https://safehandsrescue.org/adoption-process/ and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting. We are also holding the following upcoming adoption events! Story
Hi there, I'm Precious. They say that I am called this because I am the most precious dog here at God's Dogs Rescue. I came to the rescue in October of 2022 to have a safe place for me to have and raise my puppies. All my puppies were adopted by the end of January 2023, but I am still here looking for my furever home. I am a bigger girl, but this just means there is more of me to cuddle you, because I love cuddling it's one of my top 3 favorite things. 1) Food- I love food and will do almost anything you ask if you have a treat involved. 2) Cuddles- on your lap, on the couch, in the bed wherever there is a comfy space with pillows or a human I want to be there. 3) Kisses- I have a love of giving kisses to people, especially kids. Although not everyone likes it when I try to kiss them and that makes me sad. 4) Honorable mention- I like going on walks or in the car for a ride, although I prefer just lazing around at home. My current fosters say that I am a "house hippo with springs in my feet whatever that means; I just know sometimes, when I get super happy, I feel like I could fly- or jump really high. I love their kids and am very good with them even the tiny ones. I get along with most other dogs I meet, although I have a big personality about me, because I'm a boss, so sometimes other dogs don't like that about me. I tolerate cats although if they give me too much attitude or growl at me, I can't help but to give them piece of my mind. I like most new people I meet although I had a rough start in life so sometimes, I can be a little wary with men, with time though I adjust, and we can become best friends forever. A few more little details about me: I am 3 years old I am a Boxer/Shepherd mix I am great with kids I am good with Cats and Dogs I am crate-trained I am housebroken I can be adopted in Texas or anywhere in the US too! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

These pups are in Golden Valley, Minnesota too!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  DOB:  06/01/2018 Requires another dog in home: No- best as an only dog   Okay with dogs of all sizes: No Okay with cats: No Okay with children under 12 years old: Yes Weight: 65 pounds Requires a fenced yard:     No Note: dogs must always be leashed whenever outside of a contained area. Invisible/ underground fencing is not recommended for most rescue dogs. Hi I'm Peggy!  I'm a gorgeous lady on the lookout for the perfect family.  I'm a loving girl with my family and I'm always ready for belly rubs, booty scratches and hugs and kisses.  I love to go on walks, but if I smell something interesting I've been known to pull so I can go investigate.  Sorry not sorry haha!  In my foster home I enjoy curling up in front of the fire on my blankie and chewing on bones.  Bones are the best!  I also enjoy car rides.  My foster mama lets me tag along with her and I quietly chew on bones while she runs into the store for a minute.  I'm potty and kennel trained.  I like kids, but sometimes I get a little too excited and might knock down little ones.  I'm not very good with dogs so I'd prefer to be the only princess in my new home.  This applies to kitties and those squirrels outside too.  It's my yard and they need to know they aren't allowed!  When I came into rescue I had a belly full of babies.  I raised them and then it was my turn to go to the vet to make sure I was forever done being a mama.  I had a couple lumps that were removed at the time and they were found to be cancerous.  The doctor says they got good margins and I can now find my happily ever after and hope that I don’t develop anymore pesky lumps.   Please  note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Story
Welcome Tucker to CCPAL Rescue Foster Program. Tucker is a 1-year-old Pitbull dog. He was found as a stray on the construction site and a wonderful good Samaritan found him and is fostering him until he finds his forever home. His hair is super soft and his is gushy sweet. He warms up slow to new people and is very bonded and loyal to his human. He has an adorable underbite. He would be willing to wear outfits and hats if it is what his human wanted. He is great on leash and doesn’t pull and he is good in a car. He doesn’t shed and is a very very clean boy. He likes to keep his feet clean and really manages to stay out of any messes other dogs would normally get into. He is good in his crate and he is potty trained. He currently lives with other dogs but he is jealous of attention. His best home would really be where he can be the only dog and get all the snuggles from his family. I think a quieter home over the family that has a loud bustling group of people in it. He would be perfect for the single woman or man who would like a companion animal to walk, jog hike or cuddle with. He doesn’t need lots of exercise for happiness. He is an inside dog and loves to be in the house next to his person. He can stay in his crate while you work. He can also be trusted outside his crate. He is healthy, vaccinated, neutered and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpal.info/ See his cute video!!

Give me a comfy dog bed, some ear scratches, and a cuddle session, and I'm in heaven. Tug of war and fetch are my jam, and I'm always up for a game with my favorite humans. Speaking of humans, I'm a total people person—I've yet to meet someone I didn't like! If you're down to hang out and shower me with affection, I'll happily drift off into dreamland right in your arms. Trust me, I make the best weighted blanket around! I have only met older kids, but really enjoyed their company. I'm quite the curious pup and love exploring the backyard, especially if it means finding the perfect spot for a potty break. When it comes to treats, I'm not picky—I'll devour anything from peanut butter to cheese with gusto. And let's not forget my love for squeaky toys and balls—they're the cherry on top of my playtime adventures. On walks, I'm a model citizen, calmly passing by other pets and commotion without a fuss. And when it's time to hit the hay, I snooze soundly in my crate without a peep. Sure, I might have a bit of a resource guarding tendency with treats and toys, but with a little patience and training, I'm sure to improve. I have been selective about my dog friends in my foster home and it would be best if there are no small dogs in my forever home. Honestly, I would love to be your one and only! If there are other dogs, pups my size who are good with slow intros would be best. You see, when I was rescued, I was left in an abandoned apartment with other dogs. I was rescued with blood all over me and learned to guard my stuff - and not really how to meet nicely and play.  I'd love to find someone who can help me with that training to learn all about that because it does sound good and fun, I just need to learn.   But the best part about me? I'm a big ol' teddy bear who's just craving love and affection. Despite my rough start in life, I'm learning to trust and feel safe, and nothing makes me happier than chilling with my favorite humans. So, if you're looking for a loyal companion who's always up for a cuddle session, look no further than yours truly, Beau! *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
