Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet the absolute life of the party! His official name is Kie, but he is 100% a Big Mike and this is what he goes by in his foster home. Big Mike is an absolute blast. He says life is meant for living so lets go! A fun loving, playful, and goofy boy, Big Mike has lots of energy. He loves swimming, running, keeping the yard free of any and all critters, and his doggy pals. His foster mom is a runner and he is a natural as a running buddy and can easily keep up for 6-7 miles at a time. At the end of a good day of doggy shenanigans, he likes to snuggle up with his people. He is a genuine lover. Big Mike lives with kids (4 & 7) and is never mean, but would likely be too much for the vast majority of homes with small children. He is great with other dogs of all sizes. He lives with a cat who he simply cannot understand why the cat does not want to play all the time, but has improved some with time. He is perfectly crate trained and rarely makes a noise when kenneled. He does lack some confidence in certain situations and will at times get spooked by a strange hat or weird looking trash can, but is learning more about the world each day.  Big Mike is an assumed mix of Boxer and German Shepherd. We have not confirmed that with any DNA test, but he looks and acts a lot like you would expect of this mix. He likes to gently remind us of his presence with a swipe of his paw (hello, Boxer!) and sometimes has a lot to say (shepherd).  Big Mike is about 65 pounds and is a lean, athletic dog with long legs. He has an estimated birthday of September of 2022, so he is still very much a young dog with all the fun that comes with this stage in life.  Nobody has more personality than Big Mike. He keeps us laughing every day and someone will be sure to have an amazing dog in him. Apply to meet him today!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Please go to our website www.wagsmn.org and fill out an Adoption Application.  Once the application is processed, a Wags representative will contact you, answer any questions you may have, and set up a time/location for a meet and greet!  A home visit is required prior to adoption.  Thank you for choosing to adopt! Story
I give you my very best “awoooo” as a hello! My name is Janet, and I was probably named after Ms. Jackson since we’re both such fabulous ladies. My siblings and I were strays down south before we were found by some lovely people. Turns out pets and kisses are about the best thing! I recently came to MN with my brother. Our sister came up before us and has been adopted already. I’m only a little bit jealous!A little bit about me: before coming to MN I had never been in this thing called a “house” so it’s been a little bit of a learning curve for me. I’m learning things like stairs, the TV, and other household items aren’t so scary. I need a family that will be patient with me and help me continue learning. Even with just coming up to MN I already sleep all night in my kennel without a peep! My foster mom says I’m just the smartest girly! I’m so proud to announce that I still haven’t had a single accident in the house. Go me!!Otherwise, I’m pretty chill! I have lived with many other dogs and get along with them really well. I’ve been great at sharing my toys and having chew things around with other dogs, which is amazing since I started life on the streets of Alabama. My foster mom says I have a perfectly squishable face, which I think is a compliment. I come out my shell a little bit more every day and am excited to see what new things I’m going to learn tomorrow.Hope to sniff you soon!!***FOSTER TO ADOPT***Janet is Heartworm positive and is currently going through treatment. Once her treatment is complete, the adoption can be finalized. Once her adoption is finalized, it is the responsibility of the adoptive family to get a Heartworm test every 2 months to follow up on her treatment progress until she has a negative result which can take 2-9 months. During these months, you will need to make sure her heart rate is not elevated due to high energy play or exercise. Janet will also need continued use of monthly Heartworm prevention going forward. These medical needs will be the responsibility of the adopter. If you are interested in adopting Janet, please fill out an adoption application. --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $400To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
Hello, hello! My real name is Josephine, but you can call me Jo! My name means ‘growth’ and I’m hoping to grow in many ways when I’m living with my forever family. I love being with my siblings, but I also am ready to soak up all the attention in a home of my own. If you have a second, I’d love to tell you a little bit about myself! ● My favorite thing about myself is my unique markings ● I’m a huge snuggler! ● I like to play just as much as I like to nap! There’s so much more to me that I’d love to share with you! If you have the time to come and meet me, I’d love to show you that I can be your perfect companion. I can’t wait to meet my new family, do you think that’s you? Story
Hi, I’m Rolf, nice to meet you! My name means ‘glory’ and wouldn’t it be glorious if I could be the new addition to your family? I lived in Alabama for a very short time before my siblings, my mom and I came to Minnesota. I love them, but I’m ready to venture out and find a forever family of my own. Here are a few things that you should know about me: ● I will never say no to cuddling ● I’d love to go on adventures with you! ● I’m sweet and playful I could tell you much more, but they told me to keep it short. I’d love it if you came to see me in person so I can show you why I could be the perfect pup for you. I’ll be counting down the days until I get to see you! --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Story
Hi there! I’m Heidi, and I’m excited to share a little about me!I like the slow life - sitting in the sun, listening to the birds, and feeling the breeze. I’ve gone through some tough things, but I’m now in a wonderful environment and have met so many loving people along the way! I make friends with everyone, and I do think I’m the best lap dog around! I love kids, in fact my favorite person in the house is the young teenager. I’m the most affectionate pup, and I’ve never met a stranger! My way of saying hello is to fall into you and give you lots of kisses! I’m just the most gentle girl.Part of my story is that I am a mama of eleven pups who are on their way to their forever homes now. I’m a caring girl and just want to be right next to my people. In my foster home, I live with a senior yorkie and we get along really well! I would do well in a home either as an only pup, or with another pup who is respectful of my desire to just chill out. I do prefer slower, calm introductions to new 4-legged friends, it helps me feel more confident. Although I enjoy being next to my foster friend, if I’m bothered by something, I just get up and move, so I’m pretty easy going about everything. It's rare, but I'm also a really good jumper. I would do well in a yard with a tall fence, or if there isn't a tall fence we can just walk outside on a leash. I’m currently heartworm positive, but I’ve started my treatment and am doing really well! It’s a short term treatment and I’m great at taking my medication (in peanut butter)! I’m very patient at taking treats when other pups are around, too. I sleep all night (and some during the day)! And I haven’t had one accident in the house. I’m working on walking on a leash, I like to take my time to check out what is around me first. I absolutely love riding in cars! My foster mom says I’m just the best girl and that I deserve a best friend who will stop and smell the roses with me.Are you my forever snuggler?***FOSTER TO ADOPT***Heidi is Heartworm positive and not yet spayed.
