Story
Meet Canola, a sweet kitty who is looking for her forever home with her sister, Honey! Canola is a resilient and determined little soul. This sweet girl and her sister, came from a hoarding house that tragically caught fire, leaving behind chaos and destruction. Amidst the chaos, SAYv Animal Organization found these sweet girls and welcomed them into our care. Canola has been through a traumatic experience, and as a result, it does take her a little time to warm up in new environments. This sweet girl has made HUGE strides in not just trusting, but LOVING people. Once shy and hiding when someone came in the room, this girl has discovered that getting pets is awesome, and she will run up to you for them every time you enter the room. Canola is a silly girl, who loves chasing around a laser pointer or playing with any tiny object she can find - whether that be a cat toy or even a child's toy. Her foster mom jokes that she finds Canola's "treasures" every morning, left as gifts at the foot of the stairs. Canola also loves her sister, Honey, very much. They lean on each other for support if they're scared and they LOVE to play and nap together. Patience and understanding will be key in helping Canola adjust to her new life, but we're confident that with the right home, we know this girl and her sister will make excellent companions to a variety of families. She is currently living in a foster home with young children, and while not eager to play with them, she does enjoy sitting and watching them from across the room, curious about what they're doing. Her journey to recovery and trust is ongoing, but she deserves nothing less than an incredible forever home. If you have the capacity to open your heart and home to these remarkable survivors, and the time and patience to let them flourish, you have found the best kitties ever. Story
4.18.17 Meet Chimichurri! Her estimated date of birth is 4.18.17. Chimichurri is a beautiful cat who came out of a hoarding home where the house unfortunately burnt down. Despite her difficult past, she is a great cat who lived alongside dogs too, so she is used to both cats and dogs. In her previous home, there were 48 small breed dogs and 43 cats, so she is accustomed to living with many animals. Chimichurri is a shy girl who may take some time to trust new people. However, she is not aggressive or mean, just cautious and in need of someone patient who can help her rebuild trust. She gets along well with other cats, although her compatibility with dogs is uncertain at this time. She thrives in a quiet environment where she feels safe and secure. Once she learns to trust her surroundings, she is sure to flourish in any loving home. If you are willing to provide Chimichurri with the understanding and care she needs, she will reward you with love and companionship. We believe Chimichurri would do great in just about any household. She is very used to living with plenty of furry friends and may feel the most comfortable with other furry companions. We believe with a patient adopter, she will also thrive in an only animal household as well. Are you ready to make Chimichurri part of your family? Kiki is ready to find her forever home! This stunning feline came to SAYv as an owner surrender. Her owner was moving overseas and couldn't take her (or the other 5 cats in the home) with her. Kiki really enjoys the company of another cat, so we would love to see her go to a home either with another cat or to a home that already has cats for her to bond with. Kiki is a little on the shy side at first, and prefers a quiet environment to settle in. She enjoys head scratches and loves a good can of wet food. She can usually be found perched by a window with another one of her kitty friends. Kiki is ready to find her forever landing spot where she can take long naps with a friend or come around for some love and affection from her people. Are you ready to meet this precious girl and give her the life she so desperately deserves? Story
Meet Ali, a delightful orange tabby who defied expectations by revealing herself as a charming girl! Ali's journey began on a challenging note as she arrived at our rescue feeling under the weather. The shelter lacked the means to provide the care she needed, but we stepped in to nurse her back to health. Initially, Ali was a shy presence in her foster home, hiding in corners and closing her eyes at any attempt for interaction. However, with time and patience, she has made remarkable progress. Now, Ali confidently explores every nook and cranny of her foster house, showcasing her playful spirit. Although still a bit reserved at first, Ali has discovered the joy of companionship through play with other foster kitties, zooming around and engaging with her new friends and sister. Ali has become her foster mama's side kick. She loves pets and long cuddles. She is always around to help with household tasks. She is so cute and pleasant to have around! It has been a true blessing to watch Ali grow into a loving confident cat. This sweet beauty would greatly appreciate the company of a furry friend in her forever home. Give Ali the chance to bring warmth and love into your life - she's ready to be your cherished companion! Are you ready to make Ali a part of your family? Story
Introducing, Zircon! Zircon and his siblings joined the SAYv family after being found on the streets of Chicago. Lucky for this adorable family, a local resident assisted with rounding these little fluffs up, and they soon after came into foster care with SAYv. Zircon and his siblings are all grown up now and ready to find their forever homes! This striking tabby boy has the word CHARMING written all over him. He's known as the social butterfly of the group, the most outgoing kitten. He absolutely loves cuddling up in a human's lap. When not snuggling up to his human companions, he's got a few other past times he enjoys including climbing the cat tree - as high as he can possibly go- fear of heights? Definitely not this guy. He also enjoys a good play session - whether it be playing fetch with himself by throwing his toys across the room and then running to fetch them or having a good battle with a wand toy- this boy is full of spunk! Zircon is going to make himself an excellent companion for a variety of homes with his winning personality and dashing good looks. We believe that kittens do best with a companion, which means that this little guy will need to either be adopted with another cat or kitten or into a home that has a kitty friend for him to play with. Has Zircon won you over? Story
Rosie is ready to find her forever home! She is a very sweet and laidback 2 year old kitty (estimated birthday of 8/5/22) that joined our rescue in March as a pregnant mama. She had her two boys 2 weeks after intake and now Rosie is looking for a home to call her own forever!! She is the definition of a total sweetheart! Rosie is so calm and friendly and really enjoys human interaction. You will find her sitting nearby, purring and checking out what's going on whenever you're near. She loves chin scratches and has no problem being picked up, handled or getting her nails trimmed. She's not a cuddly lap cat (yet) but with a loving and patient adopter she will be your cuddly bff in no time! Rosie isn't too interested in toys, but she sure loves to perch herself on the TV stand and watch cat videos of bids and squirrels. Rosie needs a loving family and definitely would love a big window for her to bird watch live! She is beautiful orange tabby and would make a wonderful addition to any home.
