Story
Hi, I'm Milo! I am approximately 2-3 years old and was rescued off my current owner's front porch. I am looking for a new home because my fur sister and I haven't been able to get along, but I am very sweet and loving to my humans. Bonus: I am leash trained and know how to sit on command! My humans will also give you my litterbox, food, and bed. I love toys, lap naps, being brushed, catnip, affection, and most importantly, food - I'll eat anything I can get my paws on and smells good! However, I do not like other cats - I need to be king of my castle! I am very adventurous, clever, and outgoing. I also love to vocally express my opinion, whether I'm bored, need attention, or think dinner is late. I would prefer the company of my human(s) for most of the day, but I'm learning to keep myself entertained with toys. I love to accompany you throughout your day and explore your home. I am marked as special needs because I am FIV+ but I have not had any related symptoms or health problems.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.FIV positiveOREO is a super sweet petite middle aged gentleman (est 6-8 years old) who adores belly rubs. His rough life hasn't stopped him from becoming a wonderfully friendly boy. Once he is comfortable with new friends, he will flop right over and present his belly for a good scratch. He actively seeks out human attention and is very gentle. Oreo is FiV positive and requires a home where he can be the one-and-only or can join other FIV positive cats (he is open to other cats). Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. No Bowel or Bladder Control Trooper is an incredibly happy girl who shines so bright she simply lights up the room. She is very affectionate with an amazing purr that speaks louder than words about how much she appreciates a good round of play and cuddles. Even with the significant trauma she experienced at such a tender age she has continued to be a truly magical creature.   Always bouncing around and chattering non-stop about her day. She r uns and plays   like any other kitten and has no knowledge that she is any different. Trooper arrived to us at just 6 weeks old with a horrific tail injury. It took many months for the swelling to subside and the wound to heal.  Although her pain must have been significant, she never seemed to have a bad day. She tolerated regular warm baths and daily healing medicine like a true champ. Unfortunately, even with loads of TLC and multiple vet consults, the tail injury likely resulted in nerve damage and Trooper has not regained control of her bowel or bladder.   Trooper will require a very special adopter. Her person will need to understand that she will require regular baths and periodic grooming to keep her clean. This may well be a life-time commitment and as such should be thoughtfully considered when deciding to apply for her.  HWMAR presents the information in these bios based on our foster observations and any information presented to us regarding prior living conditions, breed specifications. While we aim to be as accurate as possible, each animal is individual and their behaviors and personalities can change in different surroundings.  HWMAR holds no guarantees to personality, behavior or breed. *Please review our adoption process & complete an application on our website - www.hoofwoofmeow.org/adoption  **We are a 100% volunteer rescue.  All of our cats are in Foster Homes  **Submission of an application does not guarantee adoption of any specific animal as they may have applications pending or might not be the right match for you.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 14, 2024, 5:20 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Cleft Palate & FIV+ Mariska is a quiet gentle soul. She has been able to overcome some big obstacles in her short life. She is quiet and calm, only giving little meows when she sees the wet food coming.  Her eyes are like windows into her past as she makes direct eye contact with you.  You can see the slightly skeptical look that comes from a life hard lived. Once you gain her trust she is very affectionate with an amazing purr that speaks louder than words about how much she appreciates the gentle touch. She would prefer a quieter home with a loving adopter who will continue to smoother her in the affection she craves. Upon first glance you will notice Mariska is missing many of her front teeth and has a malformed upper lip. Our vets believe she may have a congenital abnormality such as a cleft palate, but it may also be an older facial injury. She has adapted quite well and is able to eat/drink without issue, but she does so slowly and thus requires separate feedings to ensure she gets proper nutrition. Mariska is also FIV positive and requires a home where she can be the one-and-only or can join other FIV positive cats (check out Oreo's profile!). You can read more about FIV here: https://www.petmd.com/cat/conditions/infectious-parasitic/c_ct_feline_immunodeficiency_virus_infection *HWMAR presents the information in these bios based on our foster observations and any information presented to us regarding prior living conditions, breed specifications.
