Kittens and cats in Wilmington, North Carolina

you! Suki is about 9 months old. She was found outside at 5 weeks old back in September by a neighbor and missed the window to properly socialize. Unfortunately, when they moved they left her behind. We brought her into our home but already have 5 cats. Suki is spayed and microchipped and up to date on all her shots. We would describe her as sweet and spicy. She loves to play and chase laser pointers and mother her stuffed animal gorilla. Suki loves to snuggle when she is sleepy. Suki needs room to run as she gets the zoomies, but be careful she may get your feet! With patience, medication, play, attention and a good pair of slippers she would do well in a home with no pets or children. Additionally it should be known that Suki has a lot of energy but gets overstimulated with too much excitement which leads to biting and swatting. Never hurts but would not trust her unpredictability around children or other animals as it causes stress on them and may fight back.

Nov. 20, 2023  My name is Bubbles and I’m a BEAUTIFUL little boy that FURR saved!  My best traits are my silky smooth fur and my adorable personality!  I have the sweetest little meow and I love to tell everybody what I’m thinking!  You just won’t find a calmer, more laid back kinda kitty than me!  I’m totally vetted and ready to move on with my life.  FURR has prepared me well!  I also have 2 sisters:  Beaches (meet her below), who looks just like me and Mermaid (meet her below) who is a tortoise shell.  We all three had a rough start in life.  Are you the one to change all that for me?   Aug. 3, 2023 The 3 little kittens that I rescued from the seafood place (Mama Sunfish’s kittens) were all fixed today.  They went to the S/N clinic and had their surgery, shots, blood tests and microchips.  The bill was just under $400.  They are doing well! Buddy is improving every day learning to trust and be loved!  He is purring & making biscuits!  This gorgeous youngster would LOVE to be an only cat because the other kitties scare him!  He is the sweetest fella, but needs a little time and patience to adjust to a new environment!  Could you be his new angel???  He surely deserves it!  Buddy was rescued underneath the pier at Topsail Beach at Buddy’s restaurant.  A good person called me to come save him! Nov. 12, 2023 Meet Charlie in  her new video ! She is the LAST kitty left from my colony rescue at Topsail Beach.  She was completely traumatized when rescued and I was told by the caretakers that she witnessed her brother killed by a coyote. Charlie is such a petite little girl and just needs LOVE!!! Barely weighing 5 lbs., she’s like a fuzzy stuffed animal that you just want to cuddle! January 2024 - Sweet Mama Batts is still available! Learn how to adopt her!  FURR only adopts in the Wilmington/Hampstead NC and surrounding area to approved homes. August 2022 - Another cat showed up at Mr. Batts neighborhood. I’ve already trapped THREE that I still have & he called me to say there was one more! So, I trapped the last one that was another black cat. I took it to the S/N clinic, and when I picked her up in the afternoon, the vet told me that they fixed her, etc., BUT that she had JUST HAD KITTENS VERY RECENTLY!!! I just started to cry. She has now been away from new borns a whole night & day and now she has just had surgery! I told the vet I would have to let her go if the babies had ANY chance of survival & pray to GOD I haven’t caused kittens to die! This “Mama Batts” kitty was tiny & skinny. She, in NO WAY, looked pregnant or to be nursing. The vet said I could let her go after a few hours after surgery….and again, I was just in tears. I HATE it when this happens & you catch & fix a feral cat that has KITTENS!! So, I rushed to PetSmart, with Mama Batts in the car, left the car running, and bought my first GPS collar. I had to figure out how to program it, get it on a collar & get it on HER. I got all that done, released her after a few hours, called my sister to come sit with me. Mama Batts took us to an old abandoned boat & there, inside, were 5 new born black kittens!!! They were barely alive & still had umbilical cords on them & they couldn’t have been more than a couple days old. I got the kittens out of the boat & put them in a small carrier. Then using the kittens as bait, backed up a trap to the carrier & re-trapped Mama Batts who went right in to get to her babies. One of the babies had terribly infected eyes & even after Kristy & Patty took it to the vet for me (I was in the hospital), it ended up passing away. My heart was broken, but I am grateful for all trying to save it. I paid to have the little one cremated & added to the FURR cremation box with our still much loved FURR friends from the past. Mama Batts & her 4 kittens have since been in my bathroom. The kittens are 4 weeks old now, all black & adorable little black bear cubs! If someone takes Mama Batts along with a kitten (or 2), special pricing, food & free vet care provided for 6 months! Mama Batts is short haired shiny black, very young (probably not even 1 yr yet) and healthy! She is already spayed, shots, tested, microchipped, etc. All vetting comes with the kittens at the appropriate age. Mama Batts is shy, but loves to be petted, rubbed & getting better & better about being picked up. She has had it rough & deserves so much love!
