Nona came to us from a shelter after being found as a stray. She's older and has some things going on. Our vet found some mammary masses but tested benign. At her age and size, we won't put her through a double mastectomy, therefore. The Vet says she should be just fine. She was able to be spayed and get a badly needed dental done and she's doing great. She sleeps a lot but is quite spry when she wakes up and can trot at a good pace. Her hearing and sight are diminishing but not gone. When she wakes up, we get her and take her out to potty and run around a bit. If not, she will squat where she's at. So she does need someone around most of the time. We keep her in a crate or xpen big enough for a nice bed and a potty pad in case she wakes when no one is there and that keeps her space and the home clean. Do you have a securely fenced yard for the puppy? Can you give a puppy a 15ish year commitment? Heath is one of 6 pups that came to us with their Mama when they were about 12 days old. He's thrived and done well and is now ready for a committed home to call his own! Puppies that are not old enough to have received all 3 puppy DHPP vaccines will not be adopted to anyone in apartment or condo residents as they are not protected against parvo or distemper until they've received all 3 vaccines. Our puppies are or will be neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated age appropriate (they will need additional vaccines), de-wormed and parasite treated/prevented throughout their time with CoH as a foster puppy. Vaccine Protocol is as follows: DHPP series of 3 are needed and puppies are not protected against parvo or distemper until they're received ALL 3 vaccines. Lainey is an adorable and very sweet young girl. She is not leash trained yet so much have a securely fenced yard in her new home and someone willing to help her with her leash skills. She's great with other dogs, crate trained and easy going. She is a tad shy in new situations but comes around very quickly. She's a very slight built girl like an italian greyhound is, very elegant. She's been a great mama and now it's her turn to be someone's baby not a baby maker. We're finally getting to know her out of Mama mode. She's good with other dogs and has been friendly with those she's met so far. She'll likely make a wonderful companion for her new owner and family. Fiona came from a shelter to us half bald. She appeared to have lived her life infested with fleas and fed a poor diet. With a grain free, chicken free diet and keeping flea medication on her, all of her fur has been coming back in nicely. It has just a bit more to go for a full beautiful coat that she should have had all along. She's come out of her shell now that she's feeling healthy and is a sweet, delightful little girl. She even plays with other dogs now. She's got the look of a chi x pom cross but may be just a mix with one or the other. Who can keep her healthy and give her a loved rest of her life? Ellie arrived very pregnant. She gave birth to 4 babies on June 12th and sadly, only 2 survived. She's a young girl and likely got pregnant with her 1st heat cycle. That's all behind her now and it's time for her to forever be someone's baby girl. She was pretty withdrawn while caring for her babies but once that was over with and she was introduced to the other small dogs in rescue, she flourished. So she would probably do best with another dog friend in her new home. She's been good with crate training and holding it until she's let outside for potty and play time. She may be shy at first with her new people, time will tell, but if given a chance, you'll find a delightful, engaging little sweetie.
