Meet Ivy! Ivy is a spunky, 8-pound, smooth coat Chihuahua that loves to play, but also loves to sleep next to you for a nice long nap after a play sessions (humans, dogs, toys) or a nice bully stick chew stint. She sleeps in her crate and can be alone while you run an errand or at night. She is extremely easy to train and loves food whether it is her kibble (wet or dry) or treats/cookies. She is easily trained and goes outside to potty. She is currently living with 7 foster (dog) siblings. Her favorite activities are hanging out next to you on the couch or in bed, chewing a bone, and going for a walk. She can be a bit intimidated by bicycles that appear with no warning and isn’t sure strollers and scooters should be legal, but she recovers immediately and is ready to continue on with her excursion. Ivy really needs another dog to play with in her new home. She will do best in a home with a yard, where she can zoom around to her hearts content. She plays consistently with a fellow 8 pound sibling, but engages the larger 15-18 pound siblings too. She isn’t a Chihuahua that is scared of everything in the world! She never met a treat she wouldn’t take from complete strangers. Respectful dog savvy children that are a bit older would be best since she is very small. She can dart quickly out from under feet when they unexpectedly come too close. If you are looking for a companion to add to your world for the next 15 years, Ivy would make a perfect addition! Meet Pluto! This sweet silly pup came to us with three of his siblings and boy are they all darling! Pluto is settling into his foster home wonderfully. For a Chihuahua, he is chunky boy. He is confident, playful and loves wrestling with the 60lb lab mix in his foster home. He is very food motivated and a great eater, and won't leave your side if he thinks a treat is involved. Besides treats he loves ear scratches, curling up in your lap for a quick nap, and romping around the house with his favorite toy. His personality is so much fun with tons of tail wags, full body wiggles, and kisses anytime he sees you. He's just a pup and will still need more basic training going forward. He is doing well with potty training and has found his favorite spots in the backyard to do his business, but still has the occasional accident inside. Pluto will be vaccinated, chipped and dewormed. He will be neutered between 8-12 months of age, at our cost. Meet Blossom! What a cutie pie! We love Blossom! She had been hanging around a local school for some time, clearly lost and looking for help. The janitor finally let her inside after a week or so. No owner was ever found for her so we are happy to have her safely with us. She is friendly and social, sweet with all people and other dogs. She loves to play and explore and is generally a happy girl. She gets along with cats too! If you are looking for an easy family friend, Blossom is your girl. She needs to learn to be alone for a little bit and she will cry a bit when she is by herself, but she can learn!
