Story
Hi, Im a super sweet boy rescued from a hoarding situation. I have a little bit of anxiety about being abandoned so I will probably be right by your side at all times. I love to cuddle, go for walks and play with toys. I would be a great companion for someone who works from home or is retired as I really dont like to be alone. Also, I would prefer not to be around kids unless they are older and very respectful of my space. I do OK with other girl dogs, but I dont like other boy dogs.

I'm looking for my retirement home! Do you have space in your house and your heart for me? At only 6 pounds, I don't take up much space. I'm looking for a lap to curl up on, but would be ok with a bed as well. I need to gain a few pounds but I am hoping you can help me out with that too. I get along well with everyone I have met so far. I just want to curl up in a little ball and sleep with you!

Story
Meet a timid lady Bombom🩷(bom 봄 means spring in Korean) Even though she is still wary of people, she is getting better little by little. Bombom is learning to get adapted to spending time with her foster and foster family inside the house. She has not tried to walk outside yet. *Separation anxiety: A home camera was installed in the house to see Bombom when the foster family went outside, and Bombom she was waiting and missing her foster family. *Potty-training: Bombom mostly stays indoors and can perfectly go in the center of the potty pad!💯 * Energy Level (1~10): Level 2 * Socialization -People: Curious about people but still scared. When her fam approach her, she tends to step backward. Still gets nervous and flinches when someone tries to touch her but doesn’t move away from her spot. She’ll take treats if her family is holding them. Once in a while, she approaches her foster and the family first! She can get nervous and tremble if she makes eye contact with human strangers. She moves away when someone suddenly comes at her. -Dogs: She gets along with the foster's dog. *She's still scared of Bombom’s surroundings and everything in the world. To protect herself, she “growls” but doesn’t show other aggressive behavior. When Bombom learns to build up trusting relationships with people and there are more enjoyable things than scary things in the world, it will be a great help for her to adapt to a new environment! *Bark: Doesn’t bark at all. *Is possible to bathe her but Bombom is still scared and uncomfortable with bathing and tries to move away. *Foster's Instagram: @happydog_world

Story
Meet Mas🩵 * Toward People: Loves everyone and becomes a lovebug irrespective of age or gender once he is acquainted. Approaches and smells even strangers but appears to feel awkward getting touched by them. Favors middle-aged women over middle-aged men. * Towards Dogs: Generally speaking, gets along well with other dogs despite some variation depending on dogs. Being a social butterfly, he occasionally gets tired of playing with other dogs. Plays well with larger dogs who are social. * Separation Anxiety: Has the trace of separation anxiety, so training is required. * Potty Training: Favors outdoor potty but indoor potty is limited only to urination. Potty pads success rate is 95%. * Hygiene: Is good at bathing, nail trimming, drying and brushing. Is scared of the sound of a clipper. *Walks: Enjoys a lot and walks nicely without pulling on the leash. * Car Sickness : Gets carsick when riding the car for over an hour. 💌Special Note💌 * Mastered the commands like “Sit” "Paw", "The Other Paw"and is learning “Wait” now.😊 * Enjoys eating and is relatively easy to train due to his food motivation, but he can sometimes eat or take treats hastily. * While indoors, Mas prefers resting over playing. ❗Health Condition❗ * Neutering: Done. * Others: Microchipped, heartworm treatment completed. * Is currently taking medication for an infection caused by a fungus in the ear. Care is needed to apply ointment. * Requires tear stain management. Proper care may be needed if tears are frequent. * Is suspected to have allergic reactions to pork.

Meet Lila!! Lila was rescued from abusive owner by our Dorothy Rescue. She is a sweet a smart Jindo mix girl who wants to be loved :) Behaviours from foster home : Lila is such a sweetheart who is smart and loves her hoomans! She is a bit timid and shy at first time. She would be appreciate it, if you could give her some time get used to her new family and new environment :) She is good with other doggie friends. She also catches other dog's signal quickly, so she won't bother the other dog if they don't want to hang out. She is that smart ;) She is good with adults and kids, as well. Though, she'd like your slow and gentle approach to her. Please give her some time to get used to you and wait for her to feel comfortable and let her come to you :) She has good walking manner, as well. She absolutely loves walking! and She does her business only outside. She isn't a big barker and she has no separation anxiety. She is also crate trained, and she's never showed aggressive behavior. Also, she doesn't get carsick, so- you can enjoy car drive with her :D Lila may be a bit shy and timid at first time, but she is such a sweetheart and she is very gentle and loving~ Would you be her loving pawrents? :) Allergy/health issues : She hasn't showed any allergy issue. She does not have any health issue. But, sadly.. She lost her right hind leg because of her abusive previous owner... There were a number of dangerous moments during her treatment, but she stayed strong and she fought for her life. Now, she is a healthy and happy dog who loves running around and being loved. We are very proud of her!!! She is not only beautiful but also very strong! :) *Please send all inquiries to @everlove8282. *Please submit your applications through the application form on our Instagram profile! Our team will carefully consider each of your applications to find the perfect forever homes for our dogs. *As all of our dogs are currently in South Korea, there will be an adoption fee of 700USD + customs fee (if applicable) for each dog.

A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. We adopt out to homes around the US and Canada, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase Quick Pay via Zelle, PayPal, or cash. Poor innocent, sweet & forgotten about Gapy, was ready to be euthanized in a death camp of a scary shelter in CA. He had zero public interest & zero rescue interest on social media. An email went out for help & this beautiful boy was on that list. Yes, it appears at the age of 3 he was going to die which is absolutely unacceptable. We rescued this beautiful boy & 2 other sweet baby dolls out of that same kill shelter from that very same kill list all at once. That day was 1 very sad & joyous day all at the same time. Gapy who is now looking for his very own forever home who will never give up on him again & love him just as his foster mum & we do. After we got Gapy all his care with his amazing foster mum he will be bought back to WA state from CA where he can’t wait to find his loving forever home. We truly believe that Gapy was originally someone’s dog & they just did not want him anymore from his mannerisms & his behavior of knowing certain things. All this boy wants is to be loved & have a home to call his own. Disturbing to think no one wanted him & he was ready to die. The level of absolute madness here is so deeply sad for many of these beautiful souls out of CA kill shelters. When we got him out of the shelter his nails were so extremely long & his nails were clipped by our vets but will need to be & regularly dremeled to get them to a good place. Gapy at times can have a big personality & knows what he wants. He isn’t the biggest cuddler but enjoys being patted & being loved. He is a independent little man. That being said, Gapy is a good eater, he loves to eat & he is making up for lost time & put on weight instantly in his foster home. Gapy’s new forever home must have a fully fenced secured backyard. He also enjoys sunning himself in the backyard & also sitting on the couch & looking out the window, he really enjoys taking in the sites. But he will also do his own thing. Gapy has been great with his baths because he started having them with us the moment he was rescued so he is used to them. Gapy rides beautifully in the car & enjoys a good journey & still needs continued work walking on his harness & leash. But has done amazing in his foster home. We are looking for a forever home for Gapy where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them & there must be another dog in the home for him to thrive. Gapy loves other dogs & needs another dog in the home to play with. This is mandatory for his new home. This boy enjoys going into a crate sometimes so that tells us that someone used to call him to go into a crate. In his foster home he sleeps in the bed with his foster mum or will sleep on the dog bed. Gapy is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him. Gapy has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & was fostered in CA with other dogs & does well with them & enjoys their company. It’s mandatory for him to be in a home with a playful dog. Gapy is roughly just over 6 years old & 21 lbs & is perhaps a dachshund & chihuahua mix, (chiweenie), male. He had a dental & polish & we got him neutered. Gapy is, microchipped, heart worm negative, up to date on his shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, rabies & dewormed. We are currently treating Gapy for a bad skin infection. We have spent far more on Gapy, with all of his medical care getting him well thank his adoption fee comes close to covering with, neuter, paying his shelter fee to get him out of the shelter, shots, flea meds, dewormer, boarding, dental scale & polish etc. Gapy has been around cats since being in the rescue & did well with the cat in his foster home but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together. Just because he got along fine with the cat in the foster home doesn’t mean he will get along with all cats. We have not had him around small children so we do not recommend small children & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children. We were not there when Gapy was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Gapy’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Gapy potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Gapy has been through many traumas in his short time on this earth so when applying this needs to be kept in mind & for his care. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Gapy & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Gapy who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this spirited little chap. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Gapy has an adoption fee of $895 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

Story
Introducing the darling Jennifer, a petite 2-year-old Chihuahua-Jindo mix weighing in at a delightful 10 kilograms. This precious pup has quite the story to tell, having been rescued from a kill shelter alongside her precious puppies. Jennifer is what you might call a "people person" in the canine world. She adores meeting new friends and welcomes them with open paws, allowing even strangers to lavish her with pets and cuddles. In fact, she's quite the social butterfly and doesn't mind being carried around like the little queen she is. And oh, don't even get her started on belly rubs – she's practically an expert at melting hearts with her irresistible display of a soft, fluffy belly begging for attention. Having been a devoted mom to her puppies, Jennifer has learned the art of sharing and getting along swimmingly with dogs of all shapes and sizes. She's a true peacemaker, always opting for a calm and collected approach when there's a sniff of conflict in the air. Whether it's a boisterous playmate or a gentle giant, Jennifer is all about spreading harmony and love in the doggy world. When it comes to cats, Jennifer's curiosity might pique when she spots a stray feline on her walks. But fear not – her focus remains firmly on her trusted handler, ensuring that she stays on track and doesn't get too distracted by those mysterious creatures with whiskers. Now, Jennifer may tend to pull a bit on the leash when she's overcome with excitement on her adventures. But fear not, for she quickly settles down once she's had a chance to take in the sights and sounds of her surroundings. And as for those tear stains? Well, it seems that chicken might be the culprit, but a little TLC and a carefully tailored diet will have her sparkling like the gem she truly is. This charming canine companion is seeking a forever family who can shower her with plenty of love and affection, along with a dose of tranquillity to match her serene disposition. If you believe Jennifer is "the one" for you, please don't hesitate to reach out to her devoted team. She's ready to sprinkle your life with endless joy and puppy kisses! 🐾 To see more videos:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OhJGCgsllwY&list=PLIsLTtIpe3JxsglforEc1FTB9vABc7T-8

Click the button to download the adoption application. The application is a form-fillable pdf. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!!  My name is Gidget from Korea and I am a wonderful approx. 6 year old female Pomeranian.  I am about 11 lbs. and hoping to find a forever home.  I am friendly and was saved from an illegal Breeding Farm in South Korea.  I was rescued with many others by local activists from the horrific conditions we were in.  I fought to survive every day and was so badly neglected.  Korea kills an estimated 1.5 -2 million dogs a year to be eaten.  I just want a chance to be part of a family and for someone to love and care for me.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will come to your home and help train your new pup.  My adoption fee of $1,395 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.  A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own when adopting or you can purchase an AirTag from us.  The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.  We do not guarantee the breed and age of the dogs.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.  The adoption fee is donated to the rescue and is tax deductible.  Please e-mail at  admin@gingerspetrescue.org  for an adoption application.
