Story
Hi, I’m Echo! I’m the goofiest boy with the cutest nose ever. I’m neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and only a year and a half old, so I have some energy and excitement to get out but I’m happy to relax and just hang out with my people too. My foster parents are working on building my confidence and basic training because I wasn’t taught these things growing up, but I’m learning really fast! I now know sit, stay, not to jump up on people to greet them, to take snacks gently, when to go to my crate and even to sit and wait at the door so I can be leashed for walks. I love to go for runs and car rides, chase lizards, chew on my toys and snuggle with my people. My foster parents tell me I can be “clingy”- I just love to be around them whenever and wherever I can! If I sound like I might be the guy for you, please reach out to my foster mom. Thanks for reading!

Story
“Champ” is a friendly well trained pit. He is a neutered male and adores attention. He was rescued from being found tied up at a gas station by my son 3 years ago. He was chipped but no registration. Per vet probably 4-5 yrs old. My son had to relocate and could not take Champ with him. I have had him with me for 4 months but it time for him for him to find his forever home. He is such good boy, very lovable and attentive. He is crate trained, his safe place, but also loves the sofa. When it is night time he goes to his crate and usually stays there all night. Champ is STRONG and needs a strong owner. He loves people but not sure of other dog tendencies. He does not like cats or aggressive little yippy dogs. Not sure about big dogs because he has kept him apart from them. But his tail does wag and he seems interested in them. He loves his walks and enjoys laying out in the sun.

Story
Hi my name is Lula I am about 2 years old and I have been spayed and cannot be bred. I also do not have AKC registration. I am looking for my forever home. I am very playful, love children, other dogs and cats are fine but I prefer to be an only animal or a playmate with similar energy. I weigh 17 lbs, lilac colored French bulldog, current on all my shots and come with flea medication, doggie bed, harness, and other accessories. I will be ready for my new home anytime after 1/10. Lula is very sweet and affectionate, my other dog refuses to accept and warm up to her. She has a lot of energy at times, but typically she enjoys lounging in her bed. She’s been with me for 4 months and he is still avoiding her and has not been himself. So, as hard as it is I need to rehome her to the perfect home.

Story
Hi-My name is Onyx and I`m a Diamond Dog. Please ask about the special perks that come with my adoption. I LOVE: when people say I`m handsome with my silky, black fur. I KNOW: how to walk nicely and I gently accept treats. The volunteers say I am well behaved and easy to handle. IF YOU`RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE: to join you for a walk in the shade or for cuddles on the couch, I`m the one for you. I AM SPECIAL BECAUSE: I put the hunk in chunk! I could actually loose a few pounds and I`m willing to work on that. SOMETHING ABOUT MY PAST: In my previous home, I was trusted to be left alone and had free roam. I like to play with other dogs and I have lived with cats but I might chase them. I love to play Fetch. If you have a resident dog, please bring them to the shelter to see if we are a good match. I would love a furry brother or sister.

Story
Please read the entire bio for this rescue, it will provide all the information that one needs to decide if they would like to apply to adopt from SCMR. Adoption fee:  $400.00   Draco is a 5 yr old, 7 lb, male Maltese with lots of love to give to the right home.  He would be fine in a home with older folks, since he loves to cuddle and snuggle!  He will stand on two feet for you to pick him up and cradle him in your arms.    He plays with the dogs in his foster's home but would love to get all of the attention from you. He also enjoys walks, car rides, cats, and showing affection by licking.   It is important to know that Draco does have aggression issues.  He will bite strangers, and he is protective of his space and may fight other dogs.  He needs a home that will understand this and work with him.  We thought we had found a great forever home for him, but he tried to bite the new family when they went to visit.  So Draco needs to have time, a lot of time,to adjust to his new home.  He may even need to be crated when visitors come to the home.  Because of his behavior concerns, anyone adopting him will be asked to sign an addendum to the adoption contract regarding his aggression.   Draco wears a belly band inside and goes outside for business.   Because of his young age, Please see our Senior for Senior adoption policy, the link to our website is https://www.scmradoption.com/policies   Draco is doing well in his foster home, so he is save and being loved in Largo, Fl while waiting for you.     He is being loved in Largo, Fl while waiting for you.   Adoption fee:  $400.00 Out-of-state adoptions are possible; however, the approved adoptive home is responsible for making the necessary arrangements to pick up their new little one.   To be considered to adopt me, please fill out an APPLICATION.   NOTE: SCMR DOES NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10 years or homes with Electric Fences. You can help make a difference one dog at a time. If you would like to sponsor one of our babies, we accept online donations via PayPal or send a check to us at P.O. Box 2005, Chattanooga, TN 37409. We thank you for whatever you can help us with. Any donation is appreciated and is tax deductible, as allowed by law,  as we are a qualified non-profit 501(c)3 organization.    All our males are sent with BELLY BANDS!    for a one time Donation that goes direct to SCMR please go to our paypal link: December 29, 2024, 1:49 pm
