Story
Louie is 7 years old. I’ve had her since she was 12 weeks old. Life is changing for me and I am no longer able to care for her. She loves attention and being outdoors. She also loves to run, play fetch and go for long walks. She is a pretty clingy dog so if she becomes comfortable with you she will want to be under you 24/7.

Story
We adopted Mako from The Humane Society of Pinellas at 6 months old. He was very loving and playful to us and our kids. Unfortunately, he was aggressively triggered by other dogs at a daycare during COVID, and now he is now extremely anxious, overly protective of our family, and no longer friendly with other dogs. He still attends daycare and boarding, but they accommodate his needs and keep him isolated. His anxiety has caused skin sensitivity and itching. And he is defensive to anyone entering our home. This includes pacing and "nipping". He has not bit another person but does make others uncomfortable. Outside our home he is timid. We have him on anti-anxiety prescription medication to help, but our busy lifestyle and home environment does not help him calm down. He needs a home to feel safe in, is less chaotic, and can give him more attention than we can. My kids also need to be able to have friends over without putting the dog away. He is still a lover and playful when he is happy

Story
Marley's story is one of perseverance! Marley was living on the streets with a homeless man and she was skin and bones. We saw them, met her, and shockingly she could not have been sweeter. We convinced him to let us buy her off of him and we took her in. We quickly found out she was very sick with heart worm. Our goal of getting her healthy and trained enough so that she could be prepared to get into a great home and live a very happy life, and I proud to say we succeeded. Now, she is very healthy and looking for her FURever home. She is a happy girl, super smart and good with training. Her only quarks are that she has a lot of energy and really needs to be socialized more to learn that other dogs are not a threat. If she is trained in that regard, I believe she will succeed. She should be in a one dog house with a fenced backyard and an adopter with rescue experience which is suitable for her growth. If you are looking for a sweetheart with an amazing story, MARLEY IS YOUR GIRL!

Story
Banjo is a Bassett hound/hound dog mix, about 6 years old, neutered, currently vaccinated. Banjo is fully housebroken and will NOT go potty inside. He is very loving, likes kids and other dogs, but he relates better to smaller dogs as he thinks he is a little dog that will fit nicely on your lap. He weighs 65 lbs. He is indifferent to cats. He loves to sleep in bed with you. He does have a big-dog bark, but only when he has something to bark at. He will howl at ambulance sirens, but not police or fire trucks. It's like he knows what an ambulance means and wants to help! He LOVES going for walks and car rides. He's a man of the world!!! This perfect boy would love to be part of your family!!
