Story
Carmen is a very sweet and friendly, five-year-old, 55-pound female terrier-mix with a cropped tail looking for a loving guardian. Carmen is full of nub wiggles and kisses for everyone she meets. She would be best in home without other pets but would love to snuggle with you! Carmen would do best in her own back yard hangin' with her peeps. She knows the command sit and takes treats very gently from your fingers. Carmen is crate-trained and appears to be housebroken. She was rescued by Lucky Dog Rescue from a Southern Illinois shelter and brought to Chicago to find a loving. To meet and possibly adopt Carmen, please contact Melia at melia88@comcast.net for an adoption application. Her adoption fee of $200 benefits the rescued dogs of Lucky Dog Rescue. She is healthy, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and micro-chipped. She is being fostered in Chicago.

Story
Hudson has a laid back outlook on life. Since being rescued from a AC situation, he has shown himself to be a great guy. He likes to play but if you would rather just chill, he's fine with that also. He knows "sit" and "paw" and he definitely knows what treats are. Hudson would do fine with another dog friend. And he gives kisses, too! Please contact Melia at melia88@comcast.net for an adoption application. His adoption fee is $200.

Story
Hello, my name is Afe, and I`m an adorable puppy with a lot of love to give! I`m a male Chihuahua mix about 2 months old as of January. I am so excited to find my forever home. Even though I`m still just a pup, I`m already well-socialized with other dogs and I love making new four-legged friends! I`m also a smart little guy who`s always eager to learn and please my humans. I love exploring the outside world, and I can`t wait to explore with you and make tons of happy memories! I get along great with kids, and can entertain them with my squeaky toy play. From any human, I enjoy ear scratches, long naps on your lap, and, of course, belly rubs. If you`re ready to welcome a sweet, playful, and loving dog into your life, please consider adopting me. I promise to fill your days with joy and give you plenty of cuddles and kisses.I`m currently living with Mara, who is either my mom or my aunt, nobody is sure which. I can be adopted with her, with my sibling Jaar, or separately.Like all CPR dogs, additional dog training is required.Afe is up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, heartworm-negative, and microchipped. He is mostly black with a patch of white on his chest/belly.He is looking for a forever home that is willing to foster to adopt until he is fixed. Foster to adopt means, he will be living with you and you will be responsible for him (including financially) but the adoption will not be finalized until he is fixed. That usually happens around 6+ months depending on what the vet says.Afe is currently being cared for by our rescue but would like you to make him a permanent part of your family today! His adoption fee of $325 will also help to benefit other CPR rescue animals. For additional pictures/videos on our website, please copy/paste this link in your browser:https://www.chicagopetrescue.org/dogs.html#AfeCurrent Location: Foster Home

Story
Jaar is a sweet and snuggly pup with a lot of personality! He loves nothing more than curling up in your lap and covering you with kisses. Always ready for playtime, Jaar enjoys wrestling with his sibling and chasing after toys. One of his quirkiest habits is admiring himself in the mirror or relaxing to music — he`s quite the little entertainer! Jaar isn’t fazed by big dogs or cats, making him adaptable to different home environments. He’s great in a carrier or on car rides, and he’s comfortable in a crate or playpen. He’s also working hard on his pee pad training and would love a family that will continue to help him grow into the perfect companion. He’s a cute Chihuahua mix puppy who is beige and tan with a reddish nose. He’s about 2 months old as of January.Jar is currently living in a foster home. He gets along with other dogs and cats in the house. His other sibling (Afe) is living in a different foster home with his mom (or Aunt) Mara. Story
Journey has been at the rescue for close to 3 years! Despite his lengthy stay he has continued to be incredibly sweet and affectionate. He is not only friendly towards humans, but also plays well with other dogs, making him an ideal companion for a multi-dog household. He is playful - loves toys. Journey also enjoys meeting new people, always hoping that one of the new humans will take him home. It is hard to believe that this friendly guy has been in rescue for most of his life. Is it because he isn't as pretty as some other dogs? It certainly isn't because of his behavior. Journey is waiting to have a home of his own with people who will provide him with the love and attention he deserves. The Adoption Fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea, Tick and Heartworm Treatment and Prevention, and Sheltering.
