Story
"Hello, my name is Tori, and I am an incredibly smart and brave dog with a lot of love to give! I am very athletic and protective of my loved ones, so I will always be there when you need me. I am a strong and independent dog, but I am also very affectionate and love nothing more than a good cuddle. I am looking for a forever home where I can be the queen of the castle and receive all the love and affection that I deserve. I would do best in a home without other dogs as I have not had the best experiences with them in the past. If you are willing to open your heart and home to me, I promise to be a loyal companion who will love you endlessly. I am waiting for you with wagging tail and lots of kisses, take the leap and adopt me!" Tori is currently in Indiana with her fosters where she is working on socialization skills. She is looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt who will continue her training.

Story
Woof! Woof! We are Harley Grace and Maisey, 4-year-old bonded sisters in immediate need of a new home together, if possible. While our parents love us very much, and have given us the best home, sadly we have to find new furever family. A little about us: we were found together at 4 weeks old outside of a barn in North Carolina. Our parents got us because our big sister needed friends in her later years in life. We loved playing with Bella until she crossed rainbow bridge and with our cousins; 3 German Shepards and 1 brown lab and still have play dates whenever we can. We love our human cousins too and love it when they want to throw our toys. We are both super loving, do everything together, & are just as happy chilling on the couch with Netflix as we are going on a car ride to the park. Our parents leave out full food bowls we graze on and love Milk Bones. We have always had a doggie door but are house trained and will let you know when we want to go out and smell the roses.

Story
Beautiful Female black and white husky needs to be rehomed. Sassy Sasha is a Siberian husky registered with CKC. Needs a home with NO small children and NO small animals. Other dogs ok if introduced properly. Cats ok. She has attacked our small dogs and she bit my child. Sasha needs a home where the people understand dog language and their signals. She would thrive in a home where she is allowed to be the alpha dog. She needs a good husky owner. She is very stubborn. She is super smart, enjoys dog puzzles and playing with toys. She is crate trained and loves car rides. She is also super spoiled, we feed her dog kibble with vegetables and different toppings through the week. (Egg, liver, honey, fish). I could write 5 pages about how awesome this dog is and we will take serious inquiries only. Please only knowledgeable dog people. Sasha needs a strong alpha person.

Story
We adopted Angus in 2019, where his curiosity, goofiness, & affection won us over. He is a big, lovable doof that loves to lay around, soak up all the pets & scratches, and be with his people. He has lived in Indiana, Illinois, &Seattle, making friends all along the way. He is around 6 years old & we do not know his backstory before adopting, but he is generally anxious when unsettled. He has grown more mellow with comfort and age - no longer needing anxiety medication like he did when he was younger. We love him so much, but with a new baby - we are not able to give him the time & love we used to, he deserves, and that we want to. We want to find him a home that can shower him with love & he can create a lovable bond with. He still has a ton of his puppy playfulness & his more adult lay around while you do stuff. He loves being outside, laying on or near the couch, & generally within eyesight or arms reach of you. He does have lingering food aggression & needs to be fed separately.

Story
Meet Balto! This senior fellow came to Helping Paws from the shelter with a bum back leg. We had him checked out by our vets and it was discovered that he has old ligament damage to that knee. That doesn't slow him down, though! Now that he has pain meds to be given as needed, he is a happy boy! He does well with other dogs and ignores the cats in his foster home. He is all Husky for sure, so people with breed experience would be preferred, but not required. He hasn't been around a lot of kids, but he is friendly with people. We suggest older children because he does occasionally take treats pretty roughly and we wouldn't want little fingers to be bitten. He is house trained and crate trained! He loves to curl up on the couch and nap, like any older gentleman would :) Balto's adoption fee is $200 and with that he comes neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He's also been on heartworm and flea prevention. Interested in meeting him? Visit www.helpingpawsonline.com/adoption-application
