Story
I adopted Theo when he was a puppy at Homeward Bound in Manistee Michigan. He is six years old and is a big teddy bear at times. He has food aggression and has attacked my dogs more than once. He has never hurt my kids but does not like them climbing on him. I ask that if you adopt him you do not have any other animals. He is very strong and has allergies as well.

Story
Let me introduce myself....I'm Duncan, a playful and energetic 80 lb bundle of energy and enthusiasm. Playtime is my absolute favorite, and I'm always ready for a game of fetch or a romp in the yard. I'll bring boundless joy and laughter to your home. 🐾 Dog-Friendly: I adore making new doggy friends! I'm known for being friendly and sociable with most dogs. If you already have a doggy companion, I'd be thrilled to join your pack but a meet and greet is always encouraged if you have another doggo in the family, 🚫 Not a Fan of Cats: I have to admit, I'm not a fan of cats. So, a cat-free household is a must for me. I want to ensure everyone in the house feels safe and comfortable. ❤️ Heartworm Positive but on the Mend: Yes, I am heartworm positive, but I'm undergoing treatment, and I'm well on my way to recovery. My foster family says I'm a real trooper, and I can't wait to be fully healthy again. 🧸 Toy Enthusiast: Toys are my passion! Whether it's squeaky toys, balls, or plushies, I love them all. You'll often find me carrying my favorite toy around, ready to play. 🏡 Ideal Home: I'm looking for an active and loving home where I can be the center of attention. If you enjoy an active lifestyle and are ready for a playful companion, we might be a perfect match! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family Dog: I'm great with people of all ages, so families are welcome to consider me as their loyal and fun-loving companion. 🏥 Ongoing Treatment: Please note that my heartworm treatment will continue even after adoption, so you'll need to work closely with my veterinarian to ensure my complete recovery. If you're ready to welcome a big-hearted, toy-loving, and playful dog into your home and can provide me with the love and care I need, let's meet! I can't wait to bring joy and happiness to your family. If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list. Ask about adoption transportation assistance if you do not live in the local area. The adoption fee is $95 and you receive certificates for $50 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies vaccine if not already done. All dogs are heartworm tested, receive a DHLPP, flea and tick treatment, a bordetella vaccination and are dewormed.
