Story
Stormi landed with our family a few days ago due to some hardships with her previous family. The intent was for us to foster her while we found her a good home. She is doing ok with my other two bullies but one of them is epileptic and when he has an episode, it freaks her out and she lunges at him. (The only time she shows any type of negative behavior towards the other dogs). She is 1 year old (DOB: 11/16/2023) is house-trained and has some basic obedience. She is good on the leash and is gentle when taking treats. She has been calm here but she needs to be in a home with no special needs dogs or as the only dog in the home. We ultimately want her to find a great family who can give her the life she deserves.

Story
I’ve had this pet for 2 years. I believe the pet is 5 years old, born October 2019. The previous owner named the dog “Pelusa”, however, they couldn’t take care of her, now unfortunately I am unable to care for her. This dog is somewhat potty trained, it was difficult to train her. I just want her new home to be a safe and lovable place for her. The pet is very friendly, and clingy. She is a happy dog. She loves people, she has lived with cats before.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. TANIA & TIARA were saved by SAVE KOREAN DOGS from Tobong Dog Slaughterhouse on June 29th 2022  from a horrendous and painful evil death. She arrived in the US on 2nd November 2023. TANIA is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, heartworm and tick tested negative, she is on monthly preventatives, de-wormed and microchipped. She has an estimated date of birth of 21 January 2021 and weighs around 40 pounds. She is a Jindo mix breed dog, with the Jindo being a national treasure. Tania is a sweet gentle girl who is in need of a home that is going to go slow and show her love and give her the security she needs, whilst going out on walks and adventures and helping her get familiar with the strange environment, strange noises and smells that are so very different to south Korea. Unfortunately Tania's sister Tiara passed away in January 2025 and so Tania is alone without her sister, but here at the rescue with the house pack. TAnia is shy and nervous which is to be expected with all she has endured so we are looking for a nice chilled out family who enjoys walks and adventures, but also chilling on the coach. Tania is great with other dogs, having lived with 15 here at the rescue and has not been phased by the cats, although the cats do tend to stay out of the way. Please be sure to follow our Facebook page for regular updates as we do not always have the time to update the website and adoption sites on all the individual dogs. We also post video's on our YouTube channel where you can see the dogs personalities, get a better idea of age and looks also. We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue  YouTube channel  and  photo albums on our Facebook page  to see a LOT of pictures and videos. Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application. https://giveadogahome-rescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5838  Click here to watch a video of TANIA.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 9, 2025, 2:30 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ALMA-Boy was saved from being shot on the streets of Oman by an amazing organization Muscat Dog Adoption. He along with his7 friends were flown into JFK where they were cleared the CDC and then picked up and transported back to Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 5 April 2024 We post in east coast states and Canada as we have many families adopt and are happy to make the worthwhile trip up to the rescue. We do not always have time to post all the pictures on each dogs individual page, but we do post a lot of photo's on the rescue Facebook page. Alma-Boy is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped. He has an estimated date of birth of 21 November 2022 and at the time of transport weighed around 35 pounds. Mixed breed dogs in Oman are referred to as Omani Wadi Dogs, with most of them being Saluki mixes. Alma is such a gentle and sweet boy, he is a little wary at first, but having been through all he has leaving his rescue in Oman and traveling to the US is a huge change. After just a few days, he has settled in great, he gets excited when I go over to the kennels, will now take treats, very gently, shares a kennel with two other dogs and does great. One of his kennel mates, CHIP a young cattle dog is really helping to bring him out of his shell, teaching him to play and having him curious in the toys and chews. He sleeps snuggled up with, I feel he gets a lot of comfort with Chips typical cattle dog confidence. ALMA is thin, although being the kind of breed, a sighthound mix, he will not need to gain much more weight, but a few extra pounds would have him at a healthy weight. We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue    YouTube channel   and    photo albums on our Facebook page   to see a LOT of pictures and videos. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks. Alma-Boy is located at the rescue in Sebec Maine and is available for a reduced adoption fee of $300. Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application. https://giveadogahome-rescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5838 HOUSE TRAINED - All of our dogs are located in the kennel building so we are not able to say if a dog is house-trained, however, they do have access and use the dog door to access their run, play area 24/7. FOOD - We feed a variety of high quality brands and flavors including, chicken, turkey, beef, lamb and fish generally alternated daily. CATS - As the dogs are in the kennels, we are not able to say how they are with cats. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. DISCO was saved from a kill shelter in Texas and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on Saturday 3rd August.  We post in east coast states and Canada as we have many families adopt and are happy to make the worthwhile trip up to the rescue. We do not always have time to post all the pictures on each dogs individual page, but we do post a lot of photo's on the rescue Facebook page. Disco is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped with 24PetWatch. He has an estimated date of birth of January 2024 and at the beginning of August weighed around 35 pounds. We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind. DISCO is a big, goofy, affectionate love bug. He gets on great with other dogs, sharing a communal living area with 9 other dogs and has a great time playing and wrestling and making sure he gets his human cuddles when I am over with them all. He is responsive and will be fun to train as he wants to please. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks.  He does need an active family who will ensure he gets all the exercise, both mentally and physically that he needs to live a happy fulfilling life. DISCO has a reduced adoption fee of $250 in hopes to find his forever home and family. Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue in SEBEC, Maine to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application.
