This dog is part of our shelter outreach program where we take dogs from overcrowded shelters in hopes of finding them a forever home here! We generally do not have much background info on them and cannot guarantee they are housebroken.  They are all up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped.  8 months old.  35lbs.  When full grown should not be more than 40-45lbs.   Claire!  This sweetie is looking for an active home with people who are around a good part of the day.  Canine friends will be awesome too to help build her confidence.  This girl can be vocal, she is a hound.  No apartments or condos.   Fenced yard, pre registered obedience class required.  *Per JSAC policy, puppies and kittens under 6 months will not be adopted to families with children under the age of 6 years.January 7, 2025, 7:46 pm

We generally do not have much background info on them and cannot guarantee they are housebroken.  They are all up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped.  Update 8/8/24 We are deeply saddened that Seven, now called Sofia has been returned.  She was here initially for 8 long months before she found a home, mostly because she was a timid pup.  She was adopted out in October but her owner had a fall, and with broken bones is unbale to care for Sofia.  Her world has been turned upside down and we hope her stay with us in a short one.  She, now 2 yrs old, is looking for a quieter home. not a fan of a lot of traffic an noise.  She is energetic and once she gets to know you she will be your best friend.  She is used to long daily walks.  She is dog friendly.  Loves toys!  She has been exposed to older kids as well.     She has had a couple of seizures in the past, noting that warrants medication at this point.  Potential adopters just need to be aware and make sure consistent vet care is provided.   Sofia cannot wait to be out of the kennel and in a new home again where she will feel safe and loved.     8 months old.  25lbs.    Meet Seven! Seven is a high-energy dog with above average exercise needs, so she is looking for a family who is ready to keep up with her active lifestyle.  Seven is a playful and affectionate dog who loves to run, play, and go on long walks. She gets along well with other dogs, so she would make a great addition to a household with plenty of room to play and explore. Fenced yard, pre-registered obedience class required.  *Per JSAC policy, puppies and kittens under 6 months will not be adopted to families with children under the age of 6 years.November 5, 2024, 5:11 pm

Story
Reese came to us from a family that was fostering. She won us over immediately. Over the past few months she has become a part of the family. One of our other dogs recently started having seizures and needs to be able to relax. She is as sweet as pie and will sneak a few kisses in when you aren’t looking. She is potty trained and crate trained. She will even hangout in the crate voluntarily when the scary vacuum comes out. She can be shy at first especially when inside but goes crazy in the yard. She loves being outside sniffing around and finding sticks.

Story
Nothing breaks our hearts more than seeing one of our beloved shelter pets returned. Sweet Sally (formerly Cali) has been brought back to us after being in a home for over a year. The reasons? Difficulty getting along with the resident female dog and her family’s move. It’s hard not to feel a whirlwind of emotions—anger, guilt, and most of all, sadness that we’ve let her down. But we’re putting our feelings aside because the one who’s hurting most right now is Sally.  At just 2 1/2 years old and about 40 lbs, Sally is an incredibly sweet girl who adores people. She’s a little selective with other dogs, but we believe she may OK thrive in a home with a calm, male canine companion—or as the only dog, soaking up all the love herself.  Looking for active homes, she is high energy.   We’re determined to turn this tough situation into a fresh start for Sally. She deserves a family who will love her unconditionally and give her the forever home she thought she already had.  Can you be the one to give Sally her happily-ever-after? Apply online today.   **Fenced yard, obedience class required.  *Per JSAC policy, puppies and kittens under 6 months will not be adopted to families with children under the age of 6 years.December 3, 2024, 1:27 pm
