Story
Rehoming Our Sweet Carmel 🐾 I’m looking for a loving family to welcome my 1-year-old puppy, Carmel. He’s a bundle of energy and loves to play, so he’ll need someone who can give him the attention he deserves. Carmel was born from his mom, Gingie, who had a large litter of 9 puppies. We’ve been caring for him while waiting for the perfect family to come along. He’s crate-trained and is working on fully mastering house training — sometimes he makes little mistakes but always tries to use his pee pad. He’s very close to his brother, Tiger, as they grew up together, but unfortunately, with my busy career and the number of dogs I already care for, I can’t give Carmel the time he truly needs. He spends a lot of time in the cage, and he deserves more freedom and love than I can currently provide. If you or someone you know is ready to give this sweet boy a forever home, please reach out! He’s full of love and would make a wonderful companion for an active family.

Story
Hi!  My name is Audrey and I am looking for my forever home. Unfortunately our previous owner lost his home and had to move where he could only have one dog.  I am about 6 months old and weigh between 12lbs. BCAA was told that my parents both weighed around 15lbs so I shouldn't get too much bigger. I was pretty scared and confused when I first got to my foster home, but my foster parents are really great and are working with me by giving me lots of love and attention and I am starting to come out of my shell. I have a really pretty mostly chocolate coat with some neat light markings, and striking green eyes! I have never been on leash before, so a fenced yard will be needed to keep me safe while I learn. I get along with other dogs perfectly and don't pay too much attention to the cats. If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter. Story
Meet Reggie! Reggie is an adorable, scruffy 3-year-old terrier mix weighing just 11 pounds—but don’t let his small size fool you! This playful little guy has a big personality and even bigger love to give. Reggie is the perfect mix of fun and affection: he adores running around the backyard with his signature zoomies, tossing his squeaky toys in the air, and showing off his goofy side. He’s equally happy snuggling up with his people, giving sweet kisses, and being your loyal little shadow. Reggie is house and crate trained, great on walks, and eager to learn. He’s already mastered “sit” and is working on “down."  While he may be a little nervous in the car, he’s making great progress with every ride.Reggie gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is especially respectful of senior pups, giving them plenty of space. But when it comes to his focus, it’s all about you! He loves to be by your side, soaking up all the love and attention you can give. He would be completely fine as an only dog. He isn’t great with cats or small animals, so he’ll thrive in a kitty-free home. He doesn’t really engage in play with other dogs - he co-exists happily. He does best with dogs around his size or a little larger as bigger dogs can scare him at times. Though Reggie needs a bit of time to adjust in new situations, his personality and love are worth the wait. Once he feels safe, he will shower you with love and kisses. He does need a patient family willing to give him a week or two to settle in and show his true amazing personality. Older, dog-savvy kids who can give him space as he settles in would be perfect. This sweet boy has come so far from his days at the shelter, blossoming into a confident, happy companion.Reggie is smart, cuddly, and full of fun energy. Whether you’re looking for a snuggle buddy, a playful partner, or a quick learner for training, Reggie is ready for it all. Apply to adopt him today at bcaaofnj.org and give this sweet boy the loving home he deserves! **Applications within 30 minutes of Haddonfield, NJ 08033 are preferred**Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! Story
My name is Chloe and I am looking for a forever home. I came into foster with 21 other dogs from a hoarding situation in south GA after Hurricane Helene came through.  All my friends have been adopted but it was discovered I was pretty pregnant and gave birth. My puppy has a home and now it's my turn!  I am probably a mix of chihuahua along with poodle or maybe even a maltese. I am super cute in person, but I was so excited during my pictures that is was hard to get a good shot.  I am not even 9lbs and at around 2 years old I'm not expected to get any bigger.  I do have lots of energy and love playing and getting attention from anyone willing to give it.  I've gotten along with all of the other small/medium dogs I have met while in foster and have shown some mild curiosity in the cats I have encountered.  I enjoy my food and treats which I take gently.  I have done really well in my crate without any accidents. I am still learning to walk on a leash and will need a little more training to get it down pat so I would love a physically fenced yard in order to take care of my business and explore safely.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application!
