Story
Jet is a 3 yr old Red Labrador. She loves people, once she gets to know and trusts them. Great in the home, can be left up to 3 hours. (No Crate). She’s very athletic, loves to swim, soccer, dock diving. She is very bright, shows much initiative and learns quickly. She responds well to positive, holistic handling, vocal praise, touch and treat rewards. She has excellent recall and obedience. Dog reactive, dependant on the other dog’s body language. (white dogs especially). No Small animals. No children. High drive, from a working line. Jet will thrive in a rural environment as the only dog, no other pets. An active lifestyle from walking around the property to swimming, dock diving, water sports, soccer, and Frisbee. Jet is a lovely genuine girl with lots of character. She loves cuddles on the couch and bedtime cuddles. She loves to travel in the car and be your sidekick. Jet needs to do things during the day, from sitting in the sunshine, helping in the garden or doing things with you. Jet is obedient and knows her commands. She comes from a working line so has high drive. She will need consistency, patience and reassurance to help her adapt to changes and for her to have a thriving life. This is a courtesy listing. Story
Health Issues None Temperament - Playful and spirited girl. - People friendly. She may be a bit reserved when first meeting new people but warms up quickly. - Can exhibit some reactivity to other dogs when on-leash or behind a fence, but less as she’s gets older. - With proper introductions and supervised visits, she has enjoyed playtime with other dogs. She does best with calmer dogs that tolerate her rambunctious style of play - Very happy to relax and cuddle once she’s had her required amount of exercise. - Moderate-high prey drive. Likes to chase squirrels and birds. - Can be slightly destructive when bored. - Not much of a swimmer, but she enjoys playing in water. - Responds well to verbal cues and attempts to redirect her attention. - Her leash skills and basic obedience are good. She seems to enjoy one-on-one training sessions. Owner Suitability -Enjoys being a part of day-to-day activities and would benefit from a home in which people are around most of the day. -Would benefit from daily walks and opportunities to play throughout the day. - Loves to be off leash with people. - She would do best in a home with a fenced in yard as she is a curious girl and enjoys opportunities to explore. - Best suited to a home with no other dogs. - Can happily live in a home with cats. She does show occasional interest in playing, but is very respectful of the cat not wanting to engage.

Story
We need help finding our neighbour’s 2 1/2 year old American Bully a new home. As a result of a fire he has been displaced and can no longer care for Luther. Luther is a very energetic dog that still needs training, but he’ll be worth it. He’s a little nervous which can make him jump up and bark and he still nibble bites like a puppy, sadly not having been socialized. That said he can also be very gentle, silly and cuddly. He has been reared gruffly, and this fire has left him displaced and out of sorts yet, when he sees me he still just leans in for some love. He needs some patience and a bit of gentle love. He urgently needs and deserves a home that can provide him with the safety and care, that he’s been missing. Ideally with someone with healthy shoulders, because he is incredibly strong. If you think you can provide that home please contact Brian Greer at 613-803-1650 This is a courtesy Listing.

Story
Health Issues - Indy can exhibit anxiety for which he currently takes a low dose/low cost anxiety medication. Temperament - Indy will be extremely loving and loyal to his family and close friends. - Indy is friendly with most dogs and in a controlled one on one environment, has made many buddies. However, on occasion, he will take a dislike to certain dogs. If he’s on leash, best to remove him from the situation, to avoid pulling and lunging. A harness would be better for walks. - Indy gets nervous in new environments and around new people. With patience and treats, he can come around and earn trust. - Indy is an excitable boy with lots of energy. He is very smart, learns easily. - He loves playing in the snow, fetch and running at full speed! - Indy is crate trained and can easily learn that a particular area of the house is his and another is off limits. He is fine being left uncrated as well, and will not push down gates. - Indy has had obedience training and had other training. He knows -Wait (Encouraged to sit and “wait” before leaving or entering house), leave it (also used when walking by squirrels, rabbits, other animals, humans), sit, shake a paw, down, go to your bed. - Indy is muzzled trained, which is required at the vet and in some new situations. - He takes a low dose/low cost anxiety medication Owner Suitability - Indy will do best in a home with less people coming and going. - Indy requires a home with dog savvy people, who understand his insecurities and will have patience in new situations. - Indy will succeed with proper and consistent training, building confidence through this. - He has lived with kids, and did very well with them, but new ones coming in and out of the house could make him uncomfortable, therefore a home without kids under 16 is a must. - A home with no other animals will be best suited for Indy. - Indy would be happy with an active owner, he loves to run, and in the right weather, up to 5km would be fine while he’s young and fit. He is familiar with agility and loves fetch with ball or Frisbee. - This boy absolutely loves cuddles and couch time and will be happy to have lazy days with you! - He would benefit from a fenced in yard, especially since he likes to be free and is most comfortable in familiar places. - His new owner must understand that the vet visit will require a muzzle and possible sedation.

Story
Mr. Romeo is a 9-year-old American bulldog/boxer mix who is looking for his forever home to enjoy his senior years. Though no fault of his own he finds himself without his owner. He is cuddly and affectionate and knows basic commands. Romeo’s favourite pastime next to eating is snuggling up on the couch or in bed with his people. He loves to give kisses and play tug of war with his Kong bones. While he is used to cats (as he lives with one now), to ease his transition we would recommend a home with no cats, no small children, or other dogs. He is neutered, in good health, and up to date on his vaccinations. He is a gentle solid boy, weighing approximately 62 pounds. He is great in the home and can be left alone for several hours. He travels well and gets very enthusiastic when it’s time for a car ride. We would take him in a heartbeat, but our circumstances make that impossible. If you are interested in providing a forever home for sweet Romeo please contact Victor Joly directly at v.joly@yahoo.com This is a courtesy listing.

Story
Tucker is a beautiful 3-year-old neutered male Labrador Retriever Mix (75% Lab, 25% Burmese mountain dog) Tucker is happy to be with his humans and loves to play tug of war games. He is generally sweet natured, however, he does suffer from behavioral issues related to guarding. He does not like anyone near his food while he is eating, he guards his toy’s and he also guards his human’s and home, so he is extremely wary of strangers. In the past, Tucker was fine with other dogs, however, at one year of age, he was bitten by another dog in an off leash park so we have kept him separated from other dogs since then. He would need to be integrated slowly with other pets. Due to his guarding, I do not recommend a home with small children. Tucker does know commands such as sit, stay, come, lay down, shake a paw. He is good in the home alone, however, he prefers his humans to be around him as much as possible. He loves to run and play, however, this has proven difficult living in a townhouse with a small yard. Tucker needs an owner with a large fenced yard who will put in the time and effort to teach him to be the loyal companion I know he can be. Patience and reassurance will be key. Tuckers vaccinations are not up to date, however, current owner will pay new owner for vaccinations to be completed. If you think you are someone who can provide Tucker a loving, forever home, please contact Tracey Richens @ 613-297-9480. This is a courtesy listing.
