Story
This dog was found on December 17, 2024 in Franklin Park PA, near the border of Ohio Township. He has been scanned and does not have a chip. He did not have an ID collar on. He was taken to Franklin Park Police station and a report was filed. Animal control came to take him, but agreed to let me keep him while we looked for the owner. This large white male dog is not neutered and seems to be approximately 1 – 1.5 years old. He is very sweet and well behaved. He’s been around one 7 year old girl and was well behaved. He has not been around other animals. It appears he had very good training at his previous home.

Story
Hi, I am Libby! I love people, all people, anyone who will give me attention! Oh and dogs, I really like to play! I would enjoy a dog sibling, I think. I would need to meet them if you have one already in your home to be sure we got along. I do not do well with cats. I like them, but they say I like them a bit too much. I could use some work with my basic obedience and work off some of my silly, wiggly energy. I do great with kids and would love a home with children 10 and up, they make me happy and I love to snuggle. I enjoy toys and being playful, I am active, and I am so ready for a forever home. I can be nervous of loud noises and sometimes nervous of the big, big world in general (I had a really rough start to life a long time ago) so my perfect family will be one that has lots of love, patience, understanding, time to play and learn, and above all will help me feel courageous and adventurous. Come meet me today! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog`s better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neuteringAdoption fee: $135.00Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2022 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. The cost of the license is $7.00. (Senior Citizen or Person with Disability-$5.00)Leash and collar included

Story
Hello! My name is Fred. I am a young fella, full of energy, full of love, with no one to share it with. My life so far included being passed around from home to home, with no one wanting to properly care for me. I was kept in a crate, had no one to play with, and felt very lonely. I was finally recently adopted (yay!) but my owner began having health issues and had to retur me (not so yay). I am a wonderful companion; very bouncy, energetic, playful, and sweet! I do have a prey drive for small animals, so tell your squirrels to watch out! I love chomping on a new treat or learning a new trick with my human. I do need to be the only animal in my home, but I would love a home with lots of people to play with. I will probably be best with older kids or teens and up. I am smart, I am housebroken, and I am full of love. Come meet me today! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Hello! I am Sharpie! I am bouncy, silly, and super fun! I have lots of energy and enjoy playing. I am still like a pup with my zoomies and goofy behavior. I was a stray, so not much is known about my past. I am looking for a home with an owner who won`t let me get away with all of my antics but will make sure I can get out all of my energy and show my goofy personality. I would do best in a home with teenage humans and older. ***I am currently in a foster home. Story
Hi, my name is Apollo! I am a spicy little guy who can also be quite sweet once I get to know you. I came to BCHS in very bad condition due to extreme fur matting because of a lack of grooming, and one of my legs had to be removed because of the serious injury this caused me. I am getting around great now, and I feel awesome! I have been living with a foster family while undergoing my medical treatments, and I also have been learning to trust someone enough to let them groom me. I was adopted once after all my treatments were completed but I was not a good fit for the family as they had a very busy home with lots of visitors. This caused me stress and fear, and my behavior became difficult for them to manage. The family made the best choice for me by returning me to the shelter so that a home that would be a better fit for me could be found. *I am currently in a foster home! Please contact the shelter if you`d like to meet me* In my foster home, I have lived with cats, and I really like them! I also have been living with other dogs, and I simply adore them, but I can be a bit pushy with my attention, so they all may not appreciate me. I can be feisty sometimes, but I’m small, a little bit fragile, and tend to get underfoot especially when I get excited about something like mealtimes or my people coming home, and in my excitement, I circle your feet and tug at your pantleg or shoe. I can be unsure of new people at first, but once I get to know you, I love to snuggle with you on the couch and generally be with you wherever you are. My foster parents are working with me on my house training, but I will continue to need patience and help with this in my forever home. I have pee accidents but have never had a poop accident and wear belly bands to help with this in foster. My ideal home is adults only, and my owners should be experienced with small dogs who have fear-based behavior issues. My home should not be one where there are a lot of visitors, new people make me nervous, and I need space and time to get to make friends on my own terms. I have a history of not being good with children so there should be no children in the home and they should not be frequent visitors. I would do my best in a home with other dogs, they help me to relax and know that I am safe. I can be an acquired taste for some dogs though, so the existing dogs in the home should be gentle while also good at giving appropriate correction. Because of his hist

Story
Hi there, my name is Alfred. I am entirely too adorable and don`t I know it! I have the sweetest puppy-dog eyes, the waggiest curly tail, and the kindest heart around. I came here as a stray and although my past is a bit of a mystery, my future isn`t...it`s you! You are my future, my happily ever after, my dream come true. I walk excellently on leash, I enjoy the sunshine and hearing about your day, and I have even met other dogs here for canine companionship. I am looking for a home where there are not any children. My next family should also have some pervious dog experience and be willing to do continued training with me. I would love to meet you and share more about myself! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings.
