Story
Hello there! My name is Bean, and I'm a 30lb terrier mix with a heart full of love. At approximately 9 months old, I'm still a young pup with lots of energy and affection to give. I've been told I'm quite the snuggle bug—I just can't resist curling up next to my favorite humans or pups for some quality cuddle time. I thrive on attention and affection, and I'm always eager to please. I'm currently working hard on my house training and learning basic commands, and I'll sit for treats as soon as I see them. While I haven't had the chance to be around kids or cats yet, I've made friends with every person and dog I've met. I have a gentle disposition and a playful spirit, making me a great companion for both humans and furry friends alike. You might notice some little scars scattered across my body, but they're just reminders of my resilience and strength. Despite whatever challenges I've faced in the past, I'm ready to embrace the future with open paws and a wagging tail. My foster mom has been working patiently with me to help me understand that my crate is a safe place, and I'm learning to feel more secure day by day. With patience, understanding, and plenty of love, I know I'll continue to blossom into the wonderful companion I'm meant to be. I can't wait to embark on new adventures with a forever family who will show me that the future is way brighter than the past. If you're ready to open your heart and home to a loyal, affectionate pup like me, then let's make it official! I am up to date on all required vaccinations, spayed and available for adoption now through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA KL# 16182. ##2081058##

Hey guys, its me sunny! Small but mighty, 6lbs of gleaming sunshine. I was recently found outside in pittsburgh and was brought to my foster moms home. I have so much fun here, even if I am tiny I love playing with the big dog & small dogs. We also have a toddler here, they say I blend in well with the pack. I love learning new things, playing outside, and im getting very used to my own personal space of my crate. I sleep all night, and were working on potty training. Truly, whats not to love?  Again, I may be little but I will take up all the room in your heart.  Apply for my here! Can't wait to meet my new family - sunny  ##2081041##

Story
Say hello to Chief!  Chief is so grateful that you might be considering him for adoption. His foster mommy thinks he is such a handsome boy with his beautiful caramel eyes. Plus, he has a fun and loving personality!  Chief is estimated to be ~7 years old and is therefore past the crazy puppy stage of life - phew!  Since coming into foster, he has been neutered, received his shots, and has learned that meal time is regular. This handsome boy does well in his crate, as he has been taught during foster that it's not scary and is a good spot to eat and to nap. Although he would much rather snuggle with humans on the couch or hang outside in the grass, where he can supervise your yardwork and gardening. But don't worry - he won't micromanage you. Once it's time for a break from chores, he likes to lay in the grass with his head in your lap while you sing to him. Currently he enjoys Guns N Roses and is hoping to find his own "paradise city" soon - aka his forever home. We recommend a home without little dogs, cats, hamsters, etc as he has a high prey drive, and that combo will just not work. He has a great temperament with humans, so he would be fine with a "sweet child of mine" in the home provided they are 5 years and up. Chief is hanging out another dog in the home currently, and we believe he would do well as a dog sibling to a calm or medium energy dog. However, he would likely thrive as an only dog. Chief is independent and can entertain himself with a bone or by tossing around a toy! In terms of opportunities for improvement...Chief is making progress in house training, but we are looking for his adopter to continue to work with him. His foster is working with him on leash skills, but his adopter must be willing to work on training as well - he is a strong boy! While we don't think this list is too demanding, Chief knows that he "just needs a little patience" for the right adopter to find him. If you think Chief sounds like the doggo for you, please apply for him today. Story
Hi there! I'm Bossy, a boisterous 30 pound ball of silky hair and youthful exuberance!  I'm 3 years old but still puppy-like .. neutered and all UTD on vetting.  They call me "maltese mix" but those are little dogs ... I'm not so little. Not sure where my name of Bossy came from but I gleefully play with anybody who lets me and I'm a lover, not a boss. I live to be surrounded by my pack, both human and canine. Not quite sure exactly what I would do if I was ever all alone without any dogs or people as that's never happened to me, not even for a minute, and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't love it.  You see, I came from a small home filled with a LOT of dogs and I spent most of my life in a crate (so the crate isn't my fav hangout but I'm getting there ... I am ok in my crate for up to a couple of hours as long as I'm not totally alone ... just seeing the other pups calms me).  I really prefer sitting on my person's lap and sleeping in his/her bed but I'll do my best to cooperate with the crate if you insist.  And, while we are talking about my old life, I don't recall even being outside at all ... ever!?! I used ONLY pee pads but I have excellent aim! Honest!  Now, I am getting the hang of this potty-outside thing but I still prefer my pee pads, maybe just for a wee bit longer. I 'm 80 percent of the way there but I need just a little more time and patience to get potty-perfect! A fenced yard where I could ask to go out anytime would expedite this process!    Not sure why but I seem to make people laugh. Maybe cuz I'm a little clumsy (actually, I'm really clumsy), extremely snuggly, constantly smiling and just bouncing around looking for the next thing to play with.  Twas love at first sight with my foster doggie siblings and I calmly greet new fur friends on our many walks. And, though I have never seen a cat, I'm pretty sure I will love them as well since I really don't wanna waste my energy chasing things that don't wanna be caught for cuddles ... so thinking I will probably leave the cats alone. Unless, of course, they'll play with me then, game on!! . Speaking of cuddles, kids are very good cuddlers and I would love some of my own but maybe not too teeny as I am a bigger/stronger than I realize and tend to run into stuff I didn't plan to. Ditto with teeny dogs ... I am only being my happy, enthusiastic, exuberant self but some littles seem to get upset when I accidentally bump them.  I'm told that I'm well on my way to being the most perfect family dog ever  ... and that's all I ever wanted to be.    I will need an adopter with at least one other young-ish dog who will love me, wrestle with me, be my bestie and continue to mentor me in the good-doggie ways.  I am really hoping for an active home where there are humans and furfriends around more often than not.  My favorite spot in the house is the middle of the kitchen floor cuz that's where the action is!  Could that be your kitchen floor?   ##2072011##

Story
Meet Martin, an adorable 7-month-old male Boxer-Shepherd mix, weighing about 40 pounds. Martin has a healthy dose of puppy energy but isn’t overly hyper. He loves going for walks and handles the leash well. This smart boy already knows some basic commands like sit, down, and come. While he can get a bit excited and jump up to greet you, his foster mom is working on curbing this behavior. His new family should be committed to continuing his training. Martin enjoys playing with other dogs and cats, as his foster home has both. He loves chewing on bones and squeaky toys, keeping himself entertained. Martin is doing great with potty training and will sit by the door to signal he needs to go out. He does experience some separation anxiety and isn’t a fan of the crate, but his foster mom is helping him with these issues. Martin loves his people so much that he gets upset when they’re out of sight. He would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time to help him with his separation and crate anxiety. This sweet young pup would love to join you on walks or snuggle on the couch. Because he tends to jump when excited, he would do best in a home with older kids to prevent accidental knock-overs. Martin is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and microchipped. If you think your home would be a great fit for Martin, please fill out an application at www.pawsacrosspittsburgh.com/adopt. Martin will be available for adoption on or after June 16th, 2024, through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA 15144, KL#16182. ##1945855##

Story
Meet Spud, your new favorite potato....er, dog! Yeah, I might be named after a potato, but really I'm just going to be your favorite buddy. I'm a 20 lb., 4 month old collie mix, or so they tell me. Could be some jack russell terrier or beagle in there - who knows? I'm just a bundle of cute! I have the softest fur, and I love to snuggle up with you while you pet me or just hug me. In fact, I'll likely be rolled over to give you my belly to pet so fast, you might not be sure what color the fur on my back is! Foster mom says I'm one of the easiest puppies she's ever had. I'm good in my crate all night, and am doing well with my housetraining. I love other dogs, and will hang out with anyone. I bark at the cats sometimes because I just don't understand why they won't play with me. I'm a fun boy! I love to lay in the grass, play with my housemates, and settle down by you to watch our favorite show at night. I haven't really been around little kids, but I'd likely be good with them, as long as you teach me to stop tugging on clothes to get someone's attention - I'm not always good at judging how thick the clothing is, and sometimes foster mom gets a little nip as a result. Oops! I'm up to date with all my vaccinations, and that neuter thing happened already, so I'm ready to go. I hope you'll pick me.  And now the tag-line for those of you who remember: This Spud's for you! Snuggles and kisses! Love, Spud   Spud will be available for adoption on June 16, 2024 through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA KL #16182. ##2081397##
