Meet Bunny! Okay, her name is really Cayanne, but we call her Bunny because she is super soft like a Bunny! This 18 month old beauty weighs approximately 45 pounds, is kid friendly and dog friendly. We think she is a pittie/husky/hound mix, but we aren’t really sure- so we just call her a Texas special, which is the very best breed! Bunny thinks her humans are the greatest thing in the world. Anytime you walk in the room she greets you like you have been gone for days. She gives big hugs, wiggle butts and races you to the couch so she can give you all the love. She loves to give kisses, licks and gentle nudges to remind you that she is the apple of your eye! Bunny is being fostered with dogs 7-120 pounds and hasn’t met a dog she doesn’t love. She loves to gallop like a horse next to her friends around the yard. She is especially fond of the 7 pound feral yorkie that lives in her foster home and gives her lots of gentle nudges to encourage her to play. She would love to have dog friends in her forever home. Potty trained? YES! Crate trained? YES! She loves to collect all of her babies (stuffed toys) and put them in her “bed”. She lays in her beds and tosses them in the air, rolls on her back, catches them and plays with them. It is pretty stinkin cute!! Adventures?? Walks in the park? Yes please! Bunny is great on the leash. She loves long walks (and can even go on runs), exploring nature and water. She would love to join you on walks around the block or trips to the park. She is great in the car and will poke her head in the front for pets and to give you a little driving advice as you drive her for a morning pup cup or late night ice cream run. Bunny can be a bit shy when meeting new people- but give her 15 minutes and she is in love. She is a little slower to warm up to men, but treats and stuffies are the way to her heart and she can be easily convinced you are a safe human who will love her. Speaking of treats, she is super treat motivated and super smart, her new family will have so much fun training her and teaching her new tricks. She even "snacks rates" by making these really cute chomping noises if the treats are super good! Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there!
