Story
His name is jay he is an Australian shepherd mixed. He is 8 years old he is very loving, loves to play fetch and smiles when he sees you, he is really protective he’s not good with other people unfortunately but once he gets comfortable he likes them, he is not good with other dogs so I need someone who is willing to take him and train him. He was my brothers dog until my brother moved out of state and wasn’t able to take him with him. My parents are moving and can’t really take the dog with them. We would really appreciate if someone is willing to take him and train him we really wouldn’t want him to be put down, he is a good dog.

Story
This is Coal. Coal was adopted by us when he was 1 year old. Coal is a black border Collie with white patches. He is 7 years old. We have worked very hard to get Coal to where he is today. Coal loves to run and run. he loves playing fetch and would do wonderfully in a home with a yard! we have put coal through some extensive behavior training and he is very smart. Just recently we added a baby to our family and Coal has had a spike in behaviors. As we know this is a normal thing for animals it’s becoming a danger to our child. The extent of Coals behaviors are showing his teeth growling and occasionally lunging towards whatever it is that’s bothering him. Coals gets very possessive over his food and toys and prefers to be left alone when he has it. Coal loves to be pet when he wants to but he will let you know when he’s done. We love Coals so much and we want him to go to a good family! Coal would benefit being in a home as the only animal and with no young children.

Story
Rupert is an incredibly sweet and happy dog! He is full of energy and loves to play. We unfortunately can not keep him due to time constraints and relocating. Rupert would benefit from an experienced owner who is willing to spend time with him. He is very affectionate. We're not sure how he interacts with other dogs or kids, but he is very sweet so we are hopeful. He would benefit from someone who can take him outside frequently for walks and to play.

Story
This is Teddy and with a name like that, you know what you’re in store for. We’re talking serious big hug energy. We all know the feeling of a perfectly timed hug, it’s a level of free therapy we all want and need- a true teddy bear in every sense! With his soft, cozy, warm brown fur and an irresistible charm, he’s the kind of pup that makes everyone feel better just by being around. From his absolute lover boy vibe to the the fun-uncle approach he has with kids- he is a swoon for the ladies and a dream wingman for the gentlemen. Watch Teddy's adorable antics! Now, let’s get down to business. While we can't be 100% sure about his breed or age, we suspect Teddy is some type of American Staffordshire Terrier mix, estimated to be around 3.5 years old and 62 lbs- a true hunk-of-love. Put the numbers aside, let’s talk about what really matters—Teddy’s personality and where he shines-with kids. He’s been lucky enough to be fostered in a loving home, where he’s mastered the fine art of house manners and is both house and crate trained. Yes, you heard that right—no messy surprises here! But his true crown and glory is how amazingly calm, patient, gentle and tolerant of it all when it comes to the littles. Truly, queue the AWWWW of a room full of women who got to watch a five year old squeeze Teddys neck with whole body for Teddy to turn around and lick his face with all the love a bully can have for a boy. Teddy has never met a stranger, kids are just little people and he is a fan of all the sizes, big to small. If that boy was put on this earth for one thing it’s to spread the warmth of what we call the “Teddy experience,” which starts with slobbery kisses and ends in tail-wagging bliss. He is a family-approved cuddler with a side of patient saint. Plus, he’s a stellar car rider, he will try to call shotgun but no matter where he sits, he will always be your passenger prince. And if you thought he couldn’t get any cuter, just wait until you give him a toy! His playful spirit goes into overdrive. Whether it’s tug-of-war or simply romping around, Teddy’s ready for fun and more than happy to entertain his audience. He’s a strong boy, so consider those play sessions a workout for both of you—mostly fun, with a side of exercise. When it’s time for a walk, he’s all in, eager to sniff every blade of grass! He knows basic leash manners, but his enthusiasm for it all can let him get ahead of himself but a handful of treats and you reminding him of what a good walk looks like and he will pace his enthusiasm. As far as canine-companions go, Teddy fills the “shoes” of at least two dogs and would love to be the one who single-pawed, lights up your life. With feline friends, he had a bit too much interest in our resident cat, Tom—so, no feline friends for Teddy. Not a deal-breaker in our book. If an affectionate boy who is real easy on the bully-loving eyes is what you are looking for then you have found him! The soft fur, the warm kisses, his adoring approach to kids, grade-a snuggles, and a true-blue loyal companion, Teddy is your boy! He’s ready to be yours! We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. Story
Jayce is ready for a life of porch-sitting and sweet, lazy morning snuggles in bed. Jayce is a dog people fall in love with, and fall in love hard. He has the personality of an old friend- funny, familiar and easy to spend hours with. Jayce has a very expressive face that makes him easy to connect with, he’s one of those dogs that just immediately feels like a member of the family. His foster mom says one of his best qualities is how devoted to his people, and we say one of his best qualities is how devoted his people become to him. He’s so incredibly engaged and present with his humans, so lovable and full of personality. Jayce embodies love and loyalty, if you’re looking for a best friend, he’s your guy. Jayce is the ultimate companion dog, he’s affectionate with his family, communicative and expressive, funny and silly, an avid fetch player and such a smart boy. We believe Jayce is a Labrador, American Pit Bull Terrier mix, but he is a rescue, so his exact age and breed cannot be guaranteed. He currently tips the scales at a soft and snuggly 80 pounds, fully grown at an estimated 3 years old. Despite how loving he is with his people, Jayce promises to never pull your arm off looking for love from a stranger. He’s very “human” about his interpersonal relationships, he knows how weird it would be for a human to kiss their neighbor on the mouth, so he acts accordingly. Jayce will take a moment to get to know you before professing his love, but… psst- don’t tell him we told you this- Jayce’s heart is easily won with Pupperoni, and gentle soft voices. He bonds with his people through training and leash walking as well, making further training not only enjoyable and practically rewarding, but incredibly emotionally rewarding too. With other dogs, Jayce is similarly “human” in his interactions. He prefers to get to know them a bit before becoming his silliest and most playful self. In his foster home, he enjoys the company of two larger male dogs, he gets along well with them and even snuggles with them on the couch. Jayce is also an incredibly intelligent dog. He knows how to auto-sit for treats, he knows how to “puppy-dog-eye” his way into all night snuggles. He responds so well to positive reinforcement, and we believe you could do just about anything with this dog because of it. Want a “hobby dog” to teach off-leash skills, agility or party tricks? Jayce would love to learn, and he’ll love you all the more for it. Unlike most highly-trainable dogs, Jayce’s intellect does not come with high energy. He has a wonderfully balanced energy that allows him to be content just calmly hanging out. Jayce can be very lively and playful at times but also a calm cuddle bug that just wants to lay on the couch with you watching movies all day. He loves being near his people and his foster parents occasionally let him sleep in bed with them. On the nights that he does get to sleep with them, he likes to snuggle right up with you, rest his head on your pillow and look up at you until he falls asleep. Jayce loves to be outdoors as well. If you find yourself in the garage tinkering often, Jayce would love to watch you work. Jayce is still working on his leash manners, but with polishing and practice, he would make an excellent hiking or walking companion. He has the confidence for the most treacherous hikes, a vital skill for a hiking companion, and he never tires of being outdoors. A testament to Jayce’s confidence: fireworks don’t faze him! His foster dad was so impressed with us that he let us know after their Fourth of July together. He loves water too, he gets so excited for the doggy pool. We could see this handsome fella enjoying lake house life, or long weekend campouts on the river. Jayce is an easy to love dog. He has great house manners, his foster reports that he’s potty trained, and he’s very respectful of furniture. He is a bit more introverted than most, and would love to live in a quiet home. Jayce’s ideal pawrents are child-free, and lead a quiet and simple life, with gratitude for the small moments of joy, like belly-rub-time and slow walks around the neighborhood. We believe Jayce would prefer a home in a suburban or rural area, a house over an apartment. Jayce would be happiest in a home with no kitties, and no pushy, persistently playful dogs. Jayce could live with mellow dogs that understand his balanced energy level. We recommend slow introductions and lots of decompression time for Jayce, but he comes well-equipped with excellent crate skills to support these needs. Jayce is ready to come home to you. He’s worth every bit of slowness, mindfulness and attention he will require in your first weeks together, he will surely repay you with lifelong loyalty and friendship. We are willing to test Jayce with anything you need us to in order to ensure he is the perfect match for you. We can make most anything happen, just let us know. His adoption coordinator, whose email is linked below, would be more than happy to answer any specific questions you may have about Jayce. Alayna, a director at 3LP, has kindly placed her phone number at the below as well, if you would like to chat over the phone!
