Story
Hello! My name is Betsy! I am sweet gal here hanging out at BMHS awaiting my forever home. I am a little shy at first, but with a little patience I warm up in no time. I would do best in a home where I am the only pet. I don't like being around other dogs or small animals, but that doen'st mean I don't LOVE my people! I could use some leash training as well, I tend to pull too much. But, I am only 2.5 years old and still can be trained! I am looking for someone who will be patient with me, and love me, and I will be the best companion. If you are interested in meeting me, please fill out an adoption application online, and come on in to see me!

Story
Hello there, my name is Arwen! I am a very sweet girl currently looking for nice, loving family! I am very sweet and playful, and I do great with young kids! I love to cuddle and give kisses, and am overall just a lovebug. I will be a bit shy at first but I warm up to new people pretty quick. I have shown some resource guarding tendencies around my food and bedding, but it's nothing a little training can't help! I seem to do ok with most dogs, and if you have another pup at home, you can bring them here to see if we hit it off! I'm currently staying in a foster home, so if you're interested in a perfect girl like me, just fill out an application online and schedule an appointment to come say hi! I hope to see you soon!

Story
Hello, my name is Bella, and I'm the bestest girl looking for a nice place to call home! I've got a very loveable face and the personality to match! I am a sweet gal who would love to hang around and chill with my people all day! I do great in car rides, and you might've seen me on a couple of my field trips around town! I've been to Park Plaza, Downtown Walla Walla, and Fort Walla Walla, just to name a few. I'm very comfortable being around people, although I can be a bit picky with other dogs. I have a pretty big personality that can sometimes clash with other pups, but I have gotten along with dogs before, so if you have a furry friend at home, the shelter staff recommend bringing them down for a supervised dog meet! I have gone through the Washington State Penitentiary Dog Training Program and graduated with some new tricks up my paws! I know sit, lay down, and I walk pretty politely on the leash! I came in with my buddy Ace, and we are both looking for our fur-ever homes. We're both in foster homes for the time being so, if you are interested in either one of us, fill out an adoption application on the BMHS webpage then schedule an appointment to come say hi! I'll see you soon!

Story
Hey there folks, My name is Gizmo! I'm a big guy in need of a loving forever family! You may have seen me taking a stroll down at the airport with some BMHS volunteers, or on one of my many other field trips! I'm a super good boy who loves getting loads of pets and lovins'! In my time here, I've revealed bits of my personality to the nice people taking care of me. I would do best in a home where I can be your only furry friend. I needed some leash training when I got here, since I can get overstimulated seeing other dogs outside, but I have improved a lot in my time here and am very respectful. I do well on car rides and haven't had any accidents in my time here. If you are interested in a chill buddy to add to your family, I might just be the fella for you! If you'd like to meet me, fill out an adoption application and head on down to the shelter where I will be waiting! I'm eager to meet you! If you aren't ready for adoption yet, I'm also looking for a foster foster home to get a break from shelter life! I stayed with a nice family for a few days, and now I'm on the lookout for another one! if you're interested in giving me some time out of the shelter, contact BMHS to know more!

Story
Hi, I'm Wyatt! I am a really special boy looking for my fur-ever home! I recently had the amazing opportunity to spend a few weeks in an awesome foster home! I showed parts of my personality they've never seen at the shelter, and I am really coming out of my shell! I can be a bit timid at first and will take some time to warm up to new people, but as long as your patient and respect my boundaries, I'll be your best friend in no time! I am respectful of other dogs and horses, and I show up well in public places where everybody is calm and friendly. Underneath my somewhat socially awkward exterior, I am a sweet, fun loving guy with lots of charm! I love squeaky toys and car rides, and snuggling up with my favorite blanket. I am even learning to sleep in a crate! If you have other dogs at home, it's recommended to bring them down to meet me to make sure we can be friends! If you are a kind person who would appreciate a loyal, low-drama canine companion, please fill out an adoption application on the BMHS website and schedule an appointment to meet me. My friends all agree that I'm pretty awesome!

Story
Hey there! I'm Mars! I'm a sweet and goofy boy looking for my fur-ever home! I'm very smart and playful and I just got some basic training through the WSP Dog Training Program! I can be pretty overbearing with my love for people, (I'm really just a 80 pound love bug) but, with enough love and patience, we can work on me becoming the best companion I can be! The people who know me best describe me as just a big loveable puppy! I love to play outside, I love being pet, and I do well with other dogs! However, the BMHS staff highly recommends bringing your dog along to meet to to make sure we get along, since I'm still learning my manners around other dogs too! If I sound like the pup for you, fill out an application on the Blue Mountain Humane Society website and come on down to say hi! I'm sooo excited to meet you!
