Story
Meet Tosti! This gorgeous 6-month-old Aussie/Shepherd mix is all about happiness—she greets you with a big smile and the cutest butt wags! We pulled Tosti from a shelter just in time, and now she’s ready to find a forever home where she can spread her joy.Currently about 32 pounds, we estimate she’ll be around 60 pounds when fully grown. Tosti adores people and soaks up every bit of attention she can get. She’s also great with other dogs and would love a home where she can play and make new friends.Whether you’re up for an adventure or just lounging around the house, Tosti is your girl! If you’re looking to add a little extra joy to your life, she’s ready to be your new best friend.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.April 2, 2025, 10:58 pm

Story
Welcome Duke to CCPAL Rescue. Duke is a 14-month-old boy. We think he is an Aussie/German Sheperd. He walks good on leash. He recognizes the women at the rescue and he does not jump up. In fact, he did not jump up on myself or my husband when we were around him. He also kennels up nicely when he is asked to kennel. He gets along with other dogs and loves the puppies at the Rescue. He is really a mellow and low-key dog. He would like a walk and to go do outdoor activity but he is fine with relaxing and not doing anything as well. He is an over-the-top shedder. He appears to be a moderate shedding dog. He weighs about 75 pounds. He is also good in a car an overall an AMAZING dog. He causes no trouble at the Rescue. He would be fine with a moderately active family. He would be fine in a family with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is a stunning dog with two very light blue eyes. He is a head turner for sure. He is chocolate brown with these eyes. It may be hard to see in the photo but he is gorgeous. He is healthy, neutered, vaccinated and ready for his forever home. He would be fine with another dog. He isn’t picky. He also would be fine as an only dog. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland(Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. . His adoption fee is $300 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Tucker is a sweet, affectionate boy looking for a patient and loving home where he can continue to build his confidence and feel safe. He came to the Mission from our friends at SCRAPS and has an estimated birthdate of 03/03/2014.  Personality & Energy Level: Gentle and affectionate, and he thrives on love and attention. He’s still adjusting and isn’t fully playful yet, but there are moments where his joy shines through, especially when he gets to go for walks or run around in the yard. Currently, he is not treat or toy motivated. His biggest reward is feeling safe and loved. He's very quiet and he hasn’t barked once in his foster home. He has been debarked so even if he does attempt to bark, it will sound like puffs of air. Tucker can be a little unsure around men, but he’s starting to warm up with patience. Training & Behavior:  Leash-trained! He doesn’t pull but may zig-zag with excitement. He is kennel-trained and once inside, he settles quickly and stays quiet. His house-training skills are in progress and he is now going for numerous days at a time without having pee accidents. This sweet gentile guy is not destructive in any way, and he doesn’t jump on furniture or chew up household items. For car rides, he doesn’t jump in on his own, but he’s easy to pick up and stays calm. His foster is working on stairs with him – he’s gaining confidence but still needs encouragement. Ideal Home: Tucker would thrive in a calm, loving home with someone who understands that he’s still adjusting and will need time to feel fully comfortable. He would do best with someone patient and affectionate who can help him feel safe while gently encouraging independence. A home with other dogs would help him thrive. Tucker is ready for his forever home—one where he can feel safe, loved, and slowly come out of his shell. Tucker had major dental work done and will need annual dentals moving forward. His bloodwork showed many markers barely out of range which may indicate some form of chronic inflammatory response, but at this time he is asymptomatic, so the expectation would be that he should have his bloodwork rechecked every 6 months to monitor for changes. Photos of his blood panel are included in his profile in the event that a prospective adopter would like to review them with their vet before committing to applying.  If you’re looking for a devoted companion who just wants to be by your side, Tucker might be your perfect match! Tucker comes home neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped with recent dental work and blood panel. His adoption fee is waived as he is a senior. If you're interested in adopting Tucker, please begin by filling out an application at www.murcismission.org.  Thanks for checking out Tucker! ##2339666##
