Story
My name is Apollo, and I'm two and a half years old. My favorite things are chewing on my toys and playing tug-of-war. I have a really strong chomp, so I need chew toys that won't break into little pieces when I bite down on them! In the morning, I love to burrow underneath the covers and cuddle with you, and in the evening, when I don't want to be going for a walk or playing with my toys, I'll crawl up into your arms so you can hold me. I know I'm not a little guy, but I'm not too big to hold, right? I'm very good at walks, but I need to be reminded sometimes not to pull on my leash. My foster parents say I'm really smart and that I'm really quick to learn new tricks, especially when food is involved. I know all kinds of tricks now, and I'm a very good listener. Sometimes I get a little too excited when I'm around other dogs, but I am muzzle trained. I like to spend a little time outside every day in the summer so that I can get my daily zoomies out. When I'm inside, I like to look out the window so I can let my foster parents know who's out there. Lastly, I have a really expressive face and I'm good at using it to communicate my needs, whether it's dinner time, play time, or I need to go outside. I hope to meet you soon! Please note:- Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed.-Applications can be downloaded from our website. Story
Turner originally is from Indiana and made the roadtrip up to Wisconsin for his fresh start! Turner was found abandoned with another dog in a fenced in area. These two identical pups were named after the classic film: Turner & HoochTurner is a handsome boy who loves walks, going for car rides, and chewing on bones. Turner is ready for an adventure and being outside as much as possible. If you are looking for some companionship to explore the beauty the Wisconsin wilderness has to offer, Turner would be your man! It's important to note that Turner prefers to be the only dog in his new home. Additionally, he would do best in an environment without children. Please note:- Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed.-Applications can be downloaded from our website. Story
Jazmin is a very sweet girl who's highly curious about every new person she meets. She may be 45 pounds but believes that is the perfect size to cuddle and crawl into your arms! Jazmin enjoys affection such as being brushed and loves to cuddle up like the lap dog she feels she is at heart. She's been observed to be fairly quiet here at the shelter but does find it enjoyable to rip up stuffies if left alone with them too long or she grows bored, so it would be best to keep her busy. Jazmin has great leash manners and often times when walking will take a look back to make sure her companion is still with her. Jazmin has played well with other dogs in play groups at the shelter but will require a proper introduction if she was going to share her home with another dog. Jazmin has been very gentle when meeting children and takes treats very well. Please note:- Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed.-Applications can be downloaded from our website. Story
Artic is an easy-going, happy guy who's excited to meet everyone and explore new smells and places. He loves to roll in grass, snuggle and get butt scratches, and he's working on his jumping and big hugs that he gives to people when he greets them. Artic likes to chew on stuffed animals or leashes if he's bored, so we believe he'd do best in an active home where he can go on adventures that put his sniffer to work! Artic has been doing well playing with most dogs here at the shelter and loves to roll around with friends. He is currently located in a foster home with other dogs and doing well.
