She’s also a big fan of toys and romping around with other dogs her size. Eleanor is crate-trained, though she’s still perfecting her house training and learning words like “sit.”
Eleanor’s cheerful personality shines bright during walks and she'll gently slow down when the leash tightens. She greets everyone—dogs and humans alike—with a wagging tail and plenty of friendly charm. While Eleanor and cats may not be the best of friends, she does very well with smaller dogs and loves burning off energy in the yard or park. Her playful mornings mixed with relaxed afternoons make her a wonderful balance of energetic and mellow.

City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).
Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis.
Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
