Story
Hi! I'm Astrid! I'm an approximately 3 year old, female, Cattle dog mix. I was found on 08/12/2024 off FM549 in Heath and brought to the shelter on 08/14/2024. Sadly, I have not been reclaimed. I am a sweet little lady who enjoys playing and bouncing around! I absolutely love people. My finders said that I walked right up to them and immediately tried to claim them as my own. If you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is encouraged to make sure we get along. My adoption fee is $125 and that includes my spay, rabies vaccination, basic boosters, microchip, and heartworm test. If you are interested in adopting, please visit https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ to fill out an application!  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. August 19, 2024, 8:01 pm

Story
Hello my name is Dorothy. I am a 3 year old female Cattle dog/Dachshund mix that weighs around 35 Lbs. I walk well on a leash and am house broken/crate trained. If you have another dog at home and are interested in adopting me, I would love to meet them prior to adoption. Just in case they don't like me as much as I hope they do. My adoption fee is $125. I am spayed, microchipped, and current on my basic boosters. I am scheduled for my rabies vaccination, and heartworm test for 08/21/24. Story
Rougi (Roo-GEE) my boy. The first male dog I have ever had and what a journey him and I have had. I found Rougi on a craigslist ad. He was adorable and had a really cool color pattern. I drove out to meet his old owner and when I saw him I knew that was my boy. He has been by myside everyday since. He is extremely loyal. He likes his space but, when he wants affection he will push his way to me and lay in my lap. He does not require a leash for walks as he will be right by myside no matter what happens around us. He is a very low maintenance dog with regards to affection. He loves his daily walks. He is a chunk though. Loves treats and food. Just like my other dog Luna. I would love to keep Rougi and Luna, but my wife and I have started to have kids of or own and as space runs short and the amount of time we are able to give these two babies gets less and less. We feel it is best to get them new homes were they can be truly appreciated and given more time and affection.

** COURTESY POST ** ** This animal is NOT at the Rowlett Animal Shelter, so please do not inquire with them ** ** For information contact Jessica at jessbryson777@gmail.com ** Rubies is such a sweetheart she is not only a big ball of energy but loves to cuddle and give you kisses all day long. She really enjoys being outside going on adventures and playing ball. As much as she enjoys spending time with her humans she has no problem entertaining her at times during the day. Rubie would do best with a family with kids who are going to take the time to give her physical and mental simulation ever day throughout the day. She also enjoys being around other animals and people.  Rubies still working on potty training but needs someone who can consistently take her out several times a day. If you are looking for a well rounded companion that wants to shower you and your family with love and protection look no further Rubies is the one for you.August 19, 2024, 6:30 pm

** COURTESY POST ** ** This animal is NOT at the Rowlett Animal Shelter, so please do not inquire with them ** ** For information contact Jessica at jessbryson777@gmail.com ** Hunter is looking for a loving forever home. He is a big ball of enjoy and needs physical and mental stimulation every day. If he doesn't get his needs met he will become very destructive. He enjoys going on hikes, boulder climbing, swimming, kayaking, camping and road trips. Due to Hunter being a velcro dog he has major separation anxiety and needs to be with his person majority of the time.  He would do best on a family farm or some who has some land where he can be your side outside and help you with daily chores. He does not enjoy having other doges in his personal space so he would do best being the only dog. He enjoys playing and being around older children ages 10 and up. He would be a great addition to any outdoor enthusiasts family or rancher that is looking for a combination to protect and serve their family and property.August 19, 2024, 6:30 pm

Story
I am a %100 Disabled American Veteran. I had a Service Dog for 10 years. He passed away on Christmas Eve. I have a puppy that is training to do his job. I have some serious health issues and I have a total of 5 dogs. Shad O is way too high energy for me and it is disrupting my health issues and causing me a hard time with training the puppy. Shad O is a great dog. He loves to cuddle. He is great with kids, other dogs, cat curious. He is very energetic and needs a home with another dog or kids so that his energy needs get met. I was hoping that he goes with the service dog program that gave me this website. Shad O is 11 months old, neutered and shots updated and microchipped. He is house trained and potty trained. He really needs a home ASAP, as I don't know how much longer I will be able to physically and mentally be able to keep him

Story
Lucy came to us as an owner surrender. Sadly, she was never spayed and kept having litter after litter.  We agreed to take the puppies as long as they gave us Lucy as well. We wanted her to finally have a home where she could be a cherished pet. Lucy is an extremely sweet and happy girl. She gets along with dogs of all sizes, cats and she adores children. She is in great shape! Our vet thought she was only 3 years old because her teeth are pearly white. However,  Lucy is 9 years young We think she would be a fabulous companion to a lucky human.  ##1622253##

Story
Canaan is a Heeler/pyranees mix (dob: 10/16/21). Not a big dog at only 50 lbs Original owner rehomed to a family friend at around two months old. New owners did not complete his vetting so we had it done. He is neutered and current on vaccinations. He is now microchipped and his heartworm test was negative. He is good with other dogs, cats, kids, teenagers and adults. He has to learn to trust at first. Housebroken, crate trained. Great temperament. Very loving and playful dog. He would be a great walking Buddy or jogging partner. Commands he knows: sit, wait, leave it, back (when you want him to back up out of a space), out, crate, bed, place, quiet, outside, potty, get a toy, come, walks well on a leash, get in the car. He’s super easy to train, very willing to please and loves treats. Sweet and smart, ready to join your family. He holds stuffed toys in his mouth for comfort and doesn’t destroy them. You can complete an application for adoption on our website. www.chloespetrescue.org/application . Canaan’s adoption fee is $75, which includes his vetting.
