Story
** COURTESY POST ** ** This animal is NOT at the Rowlett Animal Shelter, so please do not inquire with them ** ** For information contact Tracy Johnson; 214-697-7362 ** Meet Scout (aka Muffin.  The shelter called her Muffin, but we felt Scout was a better fit.  Feel free to re-name her when she is yours).  This soft-coated, beautiful dog is being fostered by our son in who is a college student in Waco, but Scout frequently visits us in Rowlett and will be with us most of July.  Scout is believed to be an Australian Shepherd mix, approximately 2 years old.  She is energetic, smart and loves to cuddle.  She is trained to sit & fetch, loves to go on walks and can entertain herself with her toys.   I cannot say enough wonderful things about Scout and would love to keep her, however we recommend that Scout goes to a home where she will be the only pet. She LOVES humans, smiles when she sees them, but Scout does not get along with other dogs (of any size) or cats.   Our male dog was incompatible with Scout as he can be skittish and aggressive.   After getting to know this sweet girl, we are confident she will be an amazing pet for the right person or family.  Scout is a true angel with our special needs nephew. Actually, everyone Scout meets falls in love with her, especially the neighborhood kids.   She is also great in the car (road trips or running errands)  she’s a little doll in public stores.   Also, she rarely has an accident in the house and is crate trained. Scout has been spayed.  At this time, she is heartworm positive, but scheduled for treatment in Waco on July 17th.   We will take care of this expense and will provide heartworm prevention medication for one year. We are committed to finding her a home as the Waco shelter does euthanize and we are not going to allow that to happen. Please contact us if you are interested.   We have plenty of videos and pictures to share.August 19, 2024, 6:30 pm

Story
Freckles is a beautiful Black Tri AKC certified Australian Shepard, she is 7 years old and an amazing dog and companion, unfortunately my family life has become busy and hectic with 3 children and we dont have the time at home to play and spend with her as we are always on the go. Just want her to go to a good home where she can go on walks and get to play more than she does now.

Story
I bought Sebastian when he was 8 weeks old from my old boss. He is a miniature Australian Shepherd. He is super energetic and enjoys fetch with a bouncing ball and cuddles. He is super smart and catches on to things very fast so any tricks or extra training you would like to teach would not take long. The pat few months he has had some behavioral issues but I know it’s mainly because there have been a lot of sudden changes in our lives. Unfortunately, I no longer have the capacity to care for him in the way that is needed as his breed needs a lot of attention. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Story
My girl has been with me for two and a half years. I love her dearly but I have to find her a new home. I have a new grandson that I now babysit every week and cannot take the dog. She is very energetic and i live in a townhome with no backyard. She adores me and is a very loyal pet. She minds well. She sits, stays, lays down, shakes, plays ball and speaks! She sleeps in bed with me every night and gives me kisses on command. Her favorite thing is chasing squirrels and she would have been an excellent herder! She is absolutely beautiful and her breeder chose not to cut her tail so she has a gorgeous fan tail. She accepts other dogs once she gets used to them, but is very protective and territorial of me. She would make a great pet for someone looking for an older trained dog that perhaps has a large backyard or property. She has been through behavioral training also. She is my heart and it has to be the right home.

Story
This is LG. The sweet boy was born feral and had to be trapped to be saved off the streets. He is fully vaccinated and neutered. It took LG a little while to warm up to people but he is on his way. He now walks on the leash and is trusting people, much due to the work of our volunteers. LG is Kacina's brother and is looking for a loving family that will provide him the love he so desperately deserves. LG was born around March 2015.If you would like to adopt this sweet furbaby, please complete our pre-qualification application at this link: https://bit.ly/2CCVFPV#AdoptDontShop #TBCAnimalRescue

Story
This gorgeous girl was dumped out on a county road to fend for herself. Thankfully we were able to save her. She is a darling girl of only about 35lb and is a gorgeous chocolate with white front socks. How cute is that! We think she is an Aussie mixed with something like Brittany or Husky. She lives with girls and boys of various sizes and ages and is just about perfect! She is Heartworm negative and waiting for her spay appt but can go home with you now!If you would like to adopt this sweet furbaby, please complete our pre-qualification application at this link: https://bit.ly/2CCVFPV#AdoptDontShop #TBCAnimalRescue

Story
We have had Oliver since he was just weeks old and he has always been such a loving pup. He was given to my daughter by a friend. He has always been an indoor dog and he was potty trained pretty easily. He is great with children, as long as we had him never had issues with him. He loves attention and for people to pet him. He is not a barker, only when he wants to get someone's attention or when he really needs to go potty. He has been around dogs but gets a bit nervous with bigger dogs. Although we marked him as a border collie, because that is what his paperwork says, he is mixed with another breed, not sure what it is. Our family loves Oliver, we are just in a different season in life and our family situation has changed. Our schedules have gotten pretty busy and my daughter has gone off to college. We have tried everything we can but we are at a point where we feel like he needs to be with someone who can attend to him and give him the love and care that he deserves.
