Story
Rehoming 9mo 51# Australian shepherd mix pup due to trip & fall hazard. He fought off a coyote (scar resembles attacker) and found his way to my house at 3 months, gaping wound, flea-ridden, severely malnourished, and we nursed him back to health. We have 4 dogs, my family of 5, my senior mom and disabled sister and can’t keep this high-spirited dogo. He knows basic commands and is highly intelligent, kennel trained, loves to chase a cat laser until the battery dies, eats every meal like it’s his last. He gets along with all dogs and kids, wants to play with cats (they do not reciprocate the sentiment) and is a fabulous ratter. He loves water and thoroughly enjoys our kiddie pool. He has soft curly fur and hardly sheds. He would do well in a home with kids or active adults (basically anyone without a disabled sister and wobbly senior mom). If you have room in your heart and home, give this boy a shot!

Story
Hi! I'm Pumba! I'm an approximately 8 month old, male, Aussie/Heeler mix who weighs about 33 lbs. I was found in the Caruth Subdivision by Phelps Lake on 01/05/2025 and never reclaimed. I came in with my buddy Timon, but if you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is encouraged to make sure we get along. I am a young guy and will need a family who has the patience to train me to be the best family companion I can be! I am currently learning to walk on a leash and basic commands. I will need help with house training and crate training. I LOVE GRUB! Food is my vice and I love all kinds. Because food is my ultimate passion, I will need my own space to be fed. My adoption fee is $125. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, basic boosters to date, and heartworm negative. If you have no worries and are looking for a new buddy, please visit https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ to fill out an application!  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. January 21, 2025, 3:24 pm

Story
Willow is well behaved in the home and gets along well with other animals in the home. However, she is a fearful greeter and because of this we keep her in the home and she is crate trained. We've trained her to stay calm in the cage when we have visitors, but we have not tried to board her because it is noticeable how afraid she is with other humans which turns into aggressive behavior. Willow's owner will need to understand her boundaries. Before training the fearful greeting out of Willow, she must not be put in situations that make her anxious and afraid. Currently, it takes time for her to become comfortable with other people and usually consists of a handful of visits with her on a leash with a muzzle before she can feel safe. She is a very loving, playful, yet calm dog. She is trained and well behaved in the home. She is currently healthy, has never had any previous health concerns, and up to date on vaccines.

This is LG. The sweet boy was born feral and had to be trapped to be saved off the streets. He is fully vaccinated and neutered. It took LG a little while to warm up to people but he is on his way. He now walks on the leash and is trusting people, much due to the work of our volunteers. LG is Kacina's brother and is looking for a loving family that will provide him the love he so desperately deserves. LG was born around March 2015.If you would like to adopt this sweet furbaby, please complete our pre-qualification application at this link: https://bit.ly/2CCVFPV#AdoptDontShop #TBCAnimalRescue

Story
This gorgeous girl was dumped out on a county road to fend for herself. Thankfully we were able to save her. She is a darling girl of only about 35lb and is a gorgeous chocolate with white front socks. How cute is that! We think she is an Aussie mixed with something like Brittany or Husky. She lives with girls and boys of various sizes and ages and is just about perfect! She is Heartworm negative and waiting for her spay appt but can go home with you now!If you would like to adopt this sweet furbaby, please complete our pre-qualification application at this link: https://bit.ly/2CCVFPV#AdoptDontShop #TBCAnimalRescue

Story
Daisy is part of a bonded pair, so we really want to try to keep her with her sister, Kilo (the black dog in the pics), also listed on Adopt-a-pet. In many ways having two dogs is easier than one, because they keep each other company and active! She and her sister are Australian Shepherds, so they are high energy and needs lots of room to play and run around! Daisy is 2 1/2 years old, about 50 pounds, very affectionate, cunning, sweet, and calm (well, for an Aussie!). Her dad is having some health and work issues and is unable to give them the home they deserve. We want to make sure she goes to the best home, so we will require a questionnaire to be filled out. The rehoming fee will be donated to charity. Thank you for looking and for considering Daisy!

Story
Kilo is part of a bonded pair, with Daisy (red tri in pics), also on Adopt-a-Pet. We would absolutely be thrilled if someone was willing to give Kilo and Daisy a home! Kilo is about 2 years old and 50 pounds. She is very motherly toward her sister, loves people, is sweet, and loves to be in the water! If you're not familiar with the breed (Australian Shepherd), please note they are high energy and needs lots of room to play! (One reason it's nice to have the two dogs together, since they wear each other out!) Her dad is heartbroken to give them up, but he is having health and work issues and is unable to give them the home they deserve. We will require a questionnaire to be filled out so we can make sure she's placed in the right home. The rehoming fee will be donated to charity. Thank you for looking and considering Kilo!

Story
Dottie is a smart, friendy, very affectionate and easy going, medium-size girl. She is good with kids, cats and other dogs. She is potty trained, spayed and current on vaccines. Dottie is an explorer at heart. She spent the first year of her life in the country, jumping in and out of ponds and frolicking with other dogs with no barriers. So, her forever home needs to have a backyard for her to run and play.  She is very trainable and is looking for a family or a person that gives her lots of love and keeps her busy with play time, walks and mental stimulation. Do you think you are the right match for Dottie? Then, fill out the adoption application today! Story
We have had Oliver since he was just weeks old and he has always been such a loving pup. He was given to my daughter by a friend. He has always been an indoor dog and he was potty trained pretty easily. He is great with children, as long as we had him never had issues with him. He loves attention and for people to pet him. He is not a barker, only when he wants to get someone's attention or when he really needs to go potty. He has been around dogs but gets a bit nervous with bigger dogs. Although we marked him as a border collie, because that is what his paperwork says, he is mixed with another breed, not sure what it is. Our family loves Oliver, we are just in a different season in life and our family situation has changed. Our schedules have gotten pretty busy and my daughter has gone off to college. We have tried everything we can but we are at a point where we feel like he needs to be with someone who can attend to him and give him the love and care that he deserves.
