Story
Dottie is a smart, friendy, very affectionate and easy going, medium-size girl. She is good with kids, cats and other dogs. She is potty trained, spayed and current on vaccines. Dottie is an explorer at heart. She spent the first year of her life in the country, jumping in and out of ponds and frolicking with other dogs with no barriers. So, her forever home needs to have a backyard for her to run and play.  She is very trainable and is looking for a family or a person that gives her lots of love and keeps her busy with play time, walks and mental stimulation. Do you think you are the right match for Dottie? Then, fill out the adoption application today! You will love her!   ****Prior to filling out an application or contacting RHS, please completely read the instructions below.**** ALL ADOPTERS/FOSTERS MUST LIVE WITHIN 60 MILES OF RICHARDSON, TX. Meet Daisy Dukes: The Independent Farm Helper Introducing Daisy Dukes, also known as Daisy Collerville. Rescued from a hoarding case, Daisy is a nine-year-old, 60-pound shepherd mix who thrives on having her own space. Although she's feral and prefers to keep her distance from people, she would be a perfect fit for a farm where she can put her excellent perimeter-walking skills to use. Daisy is a natural at keeping predators off your property and would be a valuable asset in a farm setting. She gets along well with chickens and cats, and she's generally good with other dogs. While she's fine with people, she prefers to stay away and enjoy her independence. Given her background and feral nature, Daisy currently lives in boarding due to her fear of people. She would do great on a fenced-in farm where she can roam freely and enjoy the barn life without the risk of wandering off. Daisy is looking for a special sponsor to help cover her boarding costs and ensure she continues to live comfortably. If you have a farm and are looking for a hardworking helper who's good with animals and prefers her own space, Daisy Dukes is your girl. If you're interested in sponsoring Daisy and helping her live a safe and happy life, please consider supporting her today. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Berne, means 'bear-like' and this boy is so cute and has the waddle of a bear! As cute as he was we noticed something else was going on with this boy besides being a tail-less wonder. His back end seemed smooshed. We got him checked out, after x-rays and evaluation he has a compressed spine. This is common in some breeds. We don't know his breed but it will be something he has forever. He is not in pain and still acts like a normal puppy. As he gets a little bigger, we will see if there are any remedies or treatments that might help him but we do suspect he will live a happy life and would be an awesome addition to any family. He may need to be in household with older kids so he doesn't get knocked around. He is potty trained. He is doing great with crate and leash training. He loves tug of war, bully sticks and pestering his older foster siblings. He has spurts of energy a couple times a day, doesn't last long and otherwise very chill! Vet suspects he will get to 30 pounds. This sweet boy was found as a stray in a park. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at http://dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
If you are looking for handsome, smart, sweet, as well as dog and people friendly then you might just be looking for Biscuit! Our natural poser is 50 pounds, approximately 2 years old, and a red and cream fluffy beauty!    Biscuit is a confessed toy hoarder and skilled basketball player! He enjoys a good game of fetch and when he tires makes a great office mate. He is, of course, crate, house and leash trained!  Biscuit's forever home needs a fenced yard and another playful female dog as well as an adopter home more than not. A working from home parent who enjoys walking their pup is ideal.   To meet Biscuit in person submit our online application at www.DSDA.org/adopt.  * Adoption Fees: Puppies (12 months and under) - $325  Dogs (over 12 months) - $275  Qualifications for Adoption:  No dog is alike and each dog has different requirements based on breed, age, energy level and life experiences. DSDA is very careful to place our dogs in homes that we believe are the best fit for the dog based on our experience with each dog. All of our dogs live in foster homes which allows us the opportunity to learn about their individual needs.  Must be home more than not. Vet checks are required! All resident pets in the applicant's home MUST be spayed or neutered, core vaccines up to date and dogs on heartworm prevention to be considered! No exceptions.  Must be 21 years or older with identification showing present address. Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household. Must receive proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets if renting. Willingness and capacity to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and responsible care for a pet. All poisonous plants must be removed from the yard.  DSDA is located in Dallas and requires a home visit on every adoption so only adopt to Dallas and surrounding areas. ##1939723##

Story
Willow is well behaved in the home and gets along well with other animals in the home. However, she is a fearful greeter and because of this we keep her in the home and she is crate trained. We've trained her to stay calm in the cage when we have visitors, but we have not tried to board her because it is noticeable how afraid she is with other humans which turns into aggressive behavior. Willow's owner will need to understand her boundaries. Before training the fearful greeting out of Willow, she must not be put in situations that make her anxious and afraid. Currently, it takes time for her to become comfortable with other people and usually consists of a handful of visits with her on a leash with a muzzle before she can feel safe. She is a very loving, playful, yet calm dog. She is trained and well behaved in the home. She is currently healthy, has never had any previous health concerns, and up to date on vaccines.
