Our listed dogs ARE READY IMMEDIATELY; we only meet with families WHO ARE READY TO ADOPT! IF YOU APPLY and if WE APPROVE YOU it means we are assuming when you meet any of our dogs and fall in love you're ready to ADOPT AND HIM OR HER HOME!   Our little Aussies named after “The Eagles” are happy, thriving, healthy and adorable puppies; Walsh, Deacon & Chase are approximately 14 weeks old and came to DASH with their 2-year-old “Dad” Henley.   Henley is VERY CHILL! He’s a quintessential Aussie who prefers to be free in the home following his foster mom everywhere she goes!   Henley has a moderate energy level of 5-6 however this has been his first 10 days that we know of living indoors & having endless human affection.   We are SURE once he is settled into a new home he’ll be ready to go for activities and outdoor fun! Henley is a perfect blend of mellow when you want him to be then up and playful when you’re on the go!   Henley has been fostering with one of the puppies, Walsh, and they love to eat, sleep and play with each other. Now I have Henley in my home with my dogs and he’s been a wonderful loving companion who would be great with a friendly dog but also with any human companion … he’s very very gentle and a rare Aussie I would consider for breed-savvy children.   The 4 dogs are in 2 separate DASH foster homes and ALL are ready for forever homes!    The puppies are typical lively little guys; curious about everything around them and enjoying playing with each other and other dogs. Their personalities are very similar: engaged and looking for lots of cuddling and the chance to wrestle, tug, chase a ball and each other around!    They’re Standard Aussie puppies who could range from 40-50lbs full grown which is actually small for Male Standard Aussies!   If you’re ready to adopt and bring a new fur-family member home please complete our application on the website below, indicate your 1st and 2nd choices of puppy and then    TEXT SARA!  214-549-9905   So I can check your app and get back with you!   www.dashdog.org General Info - PLEASE READ! *Our $450 adoption fee is based on the cost of rescuing, transporting and vetting each dog; we do not try to compete on prices with municipal shelters whose funds are paid by the city. We work hard to match EACH dog with the right family - kids or no kids, other dogs male or female and/or cats. With very rare exceptions all dogs over 6 months will be spayed or neutered PRIOR to adoption - dogs under 6 months will include a spay/neuter date AND referral info for lower-cost surgery if the adopter does not choose to use her or his personal vet. He definitely needs a compassionate and patient person or couple to help him feel secure and confident which he’s gained much of in his loving foster home.  Deacon has a fuzzy face with a freckled white muzzle; he’s got very distinguishing markings. He’s goofy and sweet and just adores his brother Chase; they’d be a wonderful pair for a family wanting built-in best buddies. Deacon has REALLY warmed up during his time in his foster home - he and Chase are thick as thieves and love to play together. CHASE, Jr Walsh, Deacon & Chase are approximately 14 weeks old and came to DASH with their 2-year-old “Dad” Henley. They are happy, thriving, healthy and adorable puppies! Chase Junior, formerly Schmidt, is a very playful and energetic puppy. He’s never met a toy he didn’t like and is always investigating what the humans are doing. As most puppies, he is very curious! He is also the sweetest little thing and will cuddle up in your lap or right next to you. He quickly picked up on the “sit” command and is currently working on a few others with his foster mom. He is constantly making his foster family laugh with his little hops and playfulness. He seems to have a great drive and would make an excellent agility dog. If that’s not your thing, he appears to be willing to tag along on any adventure his human and other dog companions are going on. He is so loved by his foster family but unfortunately a puppy this age is a bit much for their 12 year old senior Aussie.  They’re in 2 separate DASH foster homes and ALL are ready for forever homes! The puppies are typical lively little guys; curious about everything around them and enjoying playing with each other and other dogs. Story
If you are looking for handsome, smart, sweet, as well as dog and people friendly then you might just be looking for Biscuit! Our natural poser is 52 pounds, approximately 2 years old, and a red and cream fluffy beauty!    Biscuit is a confessed toy hoarder and skilled basketball player! He enjoys a good game of fetch and when he tires makes a great office mate. He is, of course, crate, house and leash trained!  Biscuit's forever home needs a fenced yard and another playful female dog as well as an adopter home more than not. A working from home parent who enjoys walking their pup is ideal.   To meet Biscuit in person submit our online application at www.DSDA.org/adopt.  ADOPTION FEE Covers: Core vaccines plus Lepto and Flu, all boosters, microchip, dewormer until clear fecal test & spay or neuter when completed by a DSDA vet partner plus any necessary medical care.  All dogs are on flea, tick and heartworm prevention and you receive the following month's preventatives complementary with your adoption!  * Adoption Fees: Puppies (12 months and under) - $325  Dogs (over 12 months) - $275  Qualifications for Adoption:  No dog is alike and each dog has different requirements based on breed, age, energy level and life experiences. DSDA is very careful to place our dogs in homes that we believe are the best fit for the dog based on our experience with each dog. All of our dogs live in foster homes which allows us the opportunity to learn about their individual needs.  Must be home more than not. Vet checks are required! All resident pets in the applicant's home MUST be spayed or neutered, core vaccines up to date and dogs on heartworm prevention to be considered! No exceptions.  Must be 21 years or older with identification showing present address. Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household.
