Story
Choco's name is a shortened version of the word "chocolate," and her coat color reminds me of chocolate as well. As a puppy, she was playful and incredibly smart; she quickly learned to use the restroom outside. To this day, she remains smart and obedient. Choco loves to play outdoors and knows how to fetch a ball. She is also great with kids. Unfortunately, we have made the difficult decision to rehome her due to a change in our schedule that prevents us from giving her the time and attention she deserves. We are hoping to find a loving and caring home that can provide her with the care she needs.

This sudden turn of events left Daisy heartbroken and bewildered, as her familiar world crumbled around her. Now, in a new environment, Daisy is in the process of adapting to her changed circumstances. As we uncover more about Daisy's personality and journey, her bio and photos will be updated to reflect the resilient and lovable spirit that defines her.Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home. At the end of the week, you finalize the adoption and the pet is officially part of your family! Learn more at ohar.org/adoptionprocess

Story
She’s just over 2 years old and full of love! This sweet girl is incredibly cuddly and affectionate—she absolutely adores being around people and thrives on love and attention. She's well-trained, knows how to mind, and is fully potty trained (goes outside or uses a pee pad when needed). While she’s a wonderful companion, she sadly doesn’t get along with our other puppy, which is why we’re looking for a new home where she can be the center of attention. She’d do best in a calm, loving environment without other dogs. She’s also a bit scared of storms, so she needs someone who can offer her comfort and safety during those times. We’re looking for someone who will truly cherish her—someone who sees her gentle heart and will give her the same love she gives so freely. Adjectives to describe her: Loving, cuddly, loyal, gentle, obedient, and sensitive.

Story
Are you looking for an excuse to exercise? Are you looking for a fun-loving companion? Doug fits both of these bills. Doug is a 2 yr-old 54 lb Australian kelpie mix that was brought into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 3/17 by one of our officers. He was overjoyed to get out in the yard and stretch his legs. He seemed to have a lot of nervous energy. These photos don’t do this stunning boy justice as my camera doesn’t do well with motion shots. With a lot of coaxing he did sit. He will need to be taught to take the treats more gently… especially if you have young children. Doug is a happy, fun-loving, friendly, curious boy that needs your love. He walks OK on a leash. He did his business in the yard. He will come to you to have his ears scratched. And he’s very soft. On these upcoming hot summer nights he would love to curl up with you under the air conditioning.

Story
I adopted Blaze at the Garland Shelter. He is around one year and a half old. I am looking forward that he can find a house with a loving family and that also find more time for him that I am able at this moment. As I am moving to New York I know he loves running so I would not like to bring him to a cage with me into an apartment. Blaze is so loving and he loves meeting new dogs. He is very submissive when it comes to meet new dogs and he loves being with kids.
