Story
We have been fostering Scout for a year. Was previously another family members rescue. Our busy schedule coupled with an uninterested older dog has left this good boy bored. He is incredibly intelligent, kids have always climbed all over him, and he has an unlimited capacity for affection. He does not bark errantly, vocal in conversation when excited. My hope for him would be space to roam or kids to follow around. He really is active and curious. He won’t run out the door but gets excited on walks. He understands and enjoys learning so I think he would be an easy match.

Story
Meet Daisy Dukes: The Independent Farm Helper Introducing Daisy Dukes, also known as Daisy Collerville. Rescued from a hoarding case, Daisy is a nine-year-old, 60-pound shepherd mix who thrives on having her own space. Although she's feral and prefers to keep her distance from people, she would be a perfect fit for a farm where she can put her excellent perimeter-walking skills to use. Daisy is a natural at keeping predators off your property and would be a valuable asset in a farm setting. She gets along well with chickens and cats, and she's generally good with other dogs. While she's fine with people, she prefers to stay away and enjoy her independence. Given her background and feral nature, Daisy currently lives in boarding due to her fear of people. She would do great on a fenced-in farm where she can roam freely and enjoy the barn life without the risk of wandering off. Daisy is looking for a special sponsor to help cover her boarding costs and ensure she continues to live comfortably. If you have a farm and are looking for a hardworking helper who's good with animals and prefers her own space, Daisy Dukes is your girl. If you're interested in sponsoring Daisy and helping her live a safe and happy life, please consider supporting her today. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
Berne, means 'bear-like' and this boy is so cute and has the waddle of a bear! As cute as he was we noticed something else was going on with this boy besides being a tail-less wonder. His back end seemed smooshed. We got him checked out, after x-rays and evaluation he has a compressed spine. This is common in some breeds. We don't know his breed but it will be something he has forever. He is not in pain and still acts like a normal puppy. As he gets a little bigger, we will see if there are any remedies or treatments that might help him but we do suspect he will live a happy life and would be an awesome addition to any family. He may need to be in household with older kids so he doesn't get knocked around. He is potty trained. He is doing great with crate and leash training. He loves tug of war, bully sticks and pestering his older foster siblings. He has spurts of energy a couple times a day, doesn't last long and otherwise very chill! Vet suspects he will get to 30 pounds. This sweet boy was found as a stray in a park. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Story
Stella is HYPER active, fun-loving, obedient 2 year old (will be 3 in February) Border Collie mix; I got her as a baby from a Aussie rescue, and I have loved her since the moment we brought her home. However, she's highly active, needs a lot of exercise and needs to let off major amounts of energy daily. I work from home every day, and I am not as active as I once was when I first got her, and she deserves to be with a family who is highly active, and has the time and devotion to make sure that she gets all of the extra fun that she needs. She gets along well with my Shih Tzu mix but she has not been around other dogs much so she does bark at dogs when she seems them. Stella is obedient but there are skills she needs to learn - not to jump on everyone, and she needs to be taught to not bark so much at everyone and everything BUT she will listen if you teach her as she is incredibly smart, so sweet, and she loves to be rubbed on and her favorite past-time is playing fetch!
