Story
Parker is loved. His new family brought him with hopes and dreams of making memories with their family. They dog is being extremely aggressive with him and causing fights. Separations are tough and they want the best for Parker. He is an Aussie Mix we thin. He is super friendly and smart. He needs a yard. He loves cuddles but doesn't crowd people. He gets super excited for company but quickly calms down. He is a very good patrol dog or guard dog and lets you know when he hears anything outside. He loves the water too! He loves splashing in the creek/pool and loves the park. Bonus! He is great with cats and other dogs! We do not want Parker ending up in the shelter. Anyone?? Sadie is a lovely indoorr pet-Aussie in need of a Forever Home. SADIE knows several commands including “sit” “lie down” and “leave it “ -especially when it comes to handing her treats!Sadie walks well on a leash, She doesn’t mind cats and her favorite treat is to get her belly rubbed and scratched behind her ears. SADIE does very well with male dogs and we would look for a home where she would be the only dog or have a male canine companion. (We don’t like to put female Aussies into homes with established female Aussies.) SADIE is housebroken; she doesn’t need a crate when left home alone and she is able to be alone in the house and not be destructive. SADIE is a little shy when she goes out but just needs more socialization in the company of her people. Once she’s on and outings car rides and doing other outdoor activities she enjoys time awar from home! SADIE has a moderate energy level, she’s a terrific indoor pet. She’s not demanding for a lot of exercise but will enjoy leisurely leash walks, fetching a ball and fun but laid-back play. SADIE is a responsive learned and will easily pick up on new tricks and commands because she’s very eager to please and loves to be praised. We’re looking for a mature home with a nice yard, preferably a male companion dog and if there are children living in the home then over the age of 12. Sadie is coming from a home that has children under seven that make her anxious (because they are busy and active and loud like most normal kids!). We’d also like a home for Sadie where someone is home part of the time as opposed to a home that is empty all day. Even though Sadie behaves fine in the house by herself we want to have the best opportunity for her to enjoy human companionship If you’re interested in meeting Sadie for adoption, please complete our application on our website below then TEXT Sara 214-549-9905 so we can have someone check your application and get back to you! She’s a four year-old Mini Aussie female who gets along with everyone people dogs and Aussie savvy children. She’s also been around cats successfully. Sugar is in a wonderful DASH foster home but she needs a new forever home. Her family had a bit of a tragedy, and the best thing for For Sugar would be to find a new forever as soon as we can match her so she can get on with living her best life! SUGAR IS trustworthy in the house she doesn’t need to be created. She’s interested in toys and chewies some of the time but she prefers most to follow around her human like a typical Velcro Aussie. Sugar would probably be fine as an only dog as long as someone is home more of the time, but she would definitely get along with a male dog as a canine companion. Females would be considered on a case by case basis. Sugar is a perfect size at 35 pounds; she’s got a moderate energy level of five or six indoors. She’s able to settle down and cuddle but still loves to walk be outside play sometimes and definitely enjoy outdoor activities with her people. For a purebred Mini Aussie Sugar is a very good girl who will fit into a variety of households. We are obviously looking for one or someone is home most of the time to be a companion to Sugar initially, to take her on nice walks and enjoy time with her. Sugar has been a little bit of a rural dog so she may take some time getting used to being out and about — though she is really good in the car! If you’re looking for a sweet girl companion to Adopt and add to your home and pack please submit the application for SUGAR on our website below then TEXT SARA: 214-549-9905 so we can have someone check your application and get back to you! www.dashdog.org Thank you!   General Info - PLEASE READ! *Our $450 adoption fee is based on the cost of rescuing, transporting and vetting each dog; we do not try to compete on prices with municipal shelters whose funds are paid by the city. Beautiful Mysti (for “Mystique” is a four year-old medium sized Australian Shepherd - Mini Poodle mix. Mini poodles are average sized so this combination is not large like GoldenDoodles and Labradoodles, etc. Mysti is looking for a new home with a big fun buddy dog to play with and a happy family and lots of attention and love. Mysti has a perfect blend of energy; she’s all up and ready to get up and go playing outside playing with her toys, playing with her people and other dogs. When it’s time to settle down, Mysti is the first to calm down and get into the cuddle mode where she likes to be as close to her humans as possible much like the Australian Shepherd. Mysti is a very loyal and loving girl; the loyalty trait comes from both the Australian Shepherd and the poodle. They are very good with their owners and protective when necessary. Misti‘s family loves her very much however their senior toy dog does not; this is why we’re looking for a new home for Misti. Misti has been fantastic with other dogs. We would want her to have a medium or large male companion dog as a playmate. Story
MAGGIE IS A TRUE "HEINZ 57" DOG. Her DNA shows Australian Shepherd, German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, Lab, Siberian Husky, Miniature American Shepherd, and several others!! She is under two years of age and weighs about 52 pounds. She is only slightly above the "medium" size but she is TALL so we chose to put her in the "large" category. MAGGIE IS TRULY ONE IN A MILLION! She ADORES other dogs and we are hoping she will be adopted by an active family that has another SWEET and playful dog. We have videos we can send you of her playing! Maggie has such a loving temperament she would be find with children. As with most dogs that end up in rescue, she had a sad and unfortunate past. But someone stood up for her and we were able to send her to Wiggle Butt Academy to learn how to be a dog and to learn to trust people. For more information on this beautiful and sweet girl, please email can.adoptions@yahoo.com.

Story
If you are looking for handsome, smart, sweet, as well as dog and people friendly then you might just be looking for Biscuit! Our natural poser is 52 pounds, approximately 2 years old, and a red and cream fluffy beauty!    Biscuit is a confessed toy hoarder and skilled basketball player! He enjoys a good game of fetch and when he tires makes a great office mate. He is, of course, crate, house and leash trained!  Biscuit's forever home needs a fenced yard and another playful female dog as well as an adopter home more than not. A working from home parent who enjoys walking their pup is ideal.   To meet Biscuit in person submit our online application at www.DSDA.org/adopt.  ADOPTION FEE Covers: Core vaccines plus Lepto and Flu, all boosters, microchip, dewormer until clear fecal test & spay or neuter when completed by a DSDA vet partner plus any necessary medical care.  All dogs are on flea, tick and heartworm prevention and you receive the following month's preventatives complementary with your adoption!  * Adoption Fees: Puppies (12 months and under) - $325  Dogs (over 12 months) - $275  Qualifications for Adoption:  No dog is alike and each dog has different requirements based on breed, age, energy level and life experiences. DSDA is very careful to place our dogs in homes that we believe are the best fit for the dog based on our experience with each dog. All of our dogs live in foster homes which allows us the opportunity to learn about their individual needs.  Must be home more than not. Vet checks are required! All resident pets in the applicant's home MUST be spayed or neutered, core vaccines up to date and dogs on heartworm prevention to be considered! No exceptions.  Must be 21 years or older with identification showing present address. Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household. Must receive proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets if renting. Willingness and capacity to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and responsible care for a pet. All poisonous plants must be removed from the yard.  DSDA is located in Dallas and requires a home visit on every adoption so only adopt to Dallas and surrounding areas. ##1939723##
