Story
Odin is a 9-year old Aussie mix who's owner died. From his foster: Looking for a sweet, friendly, silly, senior? Odin loves people and is great with dogs! He enjoys being active whether it's walks (although is a puller and we are working on that) or the dog park. His favorite is going to run around his foster granddads 42 acres!!! But Odin doesn't run off and comes when called! What a good boy Odin is a quiet boy, rarely makes a peep, not even when those darn delivery folks come to the door! He is completely potty trained, does great in a kennel but doesn't need one. He is currently not kenneled and does not get into anything. He has shown absolutely zero aggression or resource guarding with my dog nor any he has met. He's just a lovely good boy. Odin was born with a short lower jaw, although this does not hinder his eating or drinking. He often has his tongue out to the side and will dribble water a bit more than most dogs. He does great with his dry or canned food on a plate. Odin would do great in just about any household as he is a pretty easygoing guy but would do best with regular exercise. He is afraid of the vacuum but so far that's it. Does great in the car, good for baths, nail trims, and no fear of storms. From the Vet: Hi! My name is Odin and I would love to share some medical information we have learned from my history as well as my first exam at The Bond Between Vet Center! My jaw appears to have been congenital, but it is not at this time causing me any issues with my teeth! I do have history of seizures, however I have not had any episodes during the time I have been with my foster so the vet said I don't need any meds! While it is unlikely at this stage, my future adopter should monitor for any seizure activity and seek guidance with a primary vet thereafter. Hope to meet you soon and settle into my fur-ever home!

Story
Hi! My name is Flounder and I am from Kentucky. I am about 2 years old and 38 lbs. I get along well with other dogs, and when people are asked to use one word to describe me, the answer is always Sweet! I love to make new friends, could one of them be you? From his foster: Flounder is a happy 2-year-old Australian Shepard. He has a lot of energy and zooms all over the house. He loves being petted and getting belly rubs. He takes a nap around 12 or 1. He climbs up on the couch and falls asleep. Loves his stuffed animals. He tosses them between the couch and the loveseat. We are working on a good routine for potty time and giving tells but it's a work in progress.

I need a temp foster August 23-25. Please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org to sign up to foster! Hi! My name is Barney and I'm from Missouri! From his foster: Barney will be a great family dog when he meets his forever family! He lives with 4 noisy teenagers and loves them all. He enjoys pets and attention from anyone willing to give them. He has been around other dogs and gets along well with dogs too, playing and running around. Barney does bark at our resident dog often, but he is working on that and it is improving everyday. He sometimes seems to think he is the boss of resident dog, but resident dog disagrees. Potty training has been a work in progress for Barney. He sleeps in a kennel at night very well and keeps his kennel clean. During the day with frequent potty breaks on a schedule he is doing better, but will still have an occasional accident. He is trying hard to learn all about living in a house with a family and since it is all new to him some things have come easier than others! Barney loves cuddling and being with his humans. He does not like being alone and howls his protests loudly. He would likely have a more difficult time with a home with shared walls, his barks and howls are quite loud!

Story
I need a new foster by 9/2! Please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org to sign up to foster! Hi! My name is Olivia and I'm from Missouri! From her foster: Olivia is very shy. She will cling to one person like velcro, following them wherever they go. She hates being away from her person. I would recommend no shared walls as she'll bark and howl when left alone. She loves to snuggle with her person on the couch and in the bed. New sounds easily spook Olivia but her instinct is to hide, not bark, that is unless it's a cat. Her loud barking and howling only occur when her person leaves her or she can't seem or find them. Olivia is more distressed when kenneled and would do better without one. She barks and howls loudly when left alone but otherwise is very quiet. Olivia is mostly potty trained, but due to her timid nature, she will need an adjustment period in her new home. Cats scare her and she barks at ours even when they are across the room from her. She doesn't chase them but as they appear to stress her out, she would thrive better in a home without cats. Olivia has shown initial jealousy with our resident dog when it came to attention from her person. Nothing more than some low growls and by the next day they were both able to share the bed without complaints. Olivia is slowly showing signs of wanting to play with our resident dog, so she may appreciate a playmate but would probably prefer being an only dog so she won't have to share her person. Olivia's energy level was quite low initially but now that she's discovered how to run again, I would say it's moderate with potential to be high. She lays at my feet most of the day or sits on the couch with me. She also loves to sleep in the bed. Occasionally she will chew on nylabones (love the peanut butter ones) and crinkle toys, so she likes toys and there's potential she could be playful. Due to her timid nature, I have not taken her on walks, but she has gotten more confident in our fenced backyard and will now stray away from me to run and explore. I'd recommend a fenced yard as she's easily spooked so she may be a flight risk. Olivia does have several mats that will require a groom to remove them. She also seems to be underweight and is only starting to eat regularly. We have found drizzling some peanut butter over her food helps encourage her to eat and now she'll even sometimes eat without the peanut butter. Feeding her will require a lot of patience as she seems timid about food. She'll sniff her food but walk away and repeat this process a few times before deciding it's finally safe to eat. If other pets are present in the home, it would be best to sit with her in a separate room, like the bathroom, until she's had a chance to eat her food. If no interest the first time, try again a few hours later.

Story
My name is Sneakers and I’m approximately 3 years old. Recently I was in an accident and my eye was damaged. It has now been removed and I feel a lot better. I’m quiet girl and I love following my humans around. I’m great with other dogs and would like a doggy friend in my furever home. I haven’t met any cats yet. I also haven’t met many kids but I’m very calm and respectful of personal space so I think I would like kids. I’m house trained and I walk well on a leash. I’m crated at night and when my foster parent isn’t home but I would really like to sleep in your bed. I can be a little shy around new people and will bark at first when I meet them, but I warm up quickly. Can I complete your family? **Sneakers needs another dog in the home to help her feel confident. ##1986660##
