Story
Meet Charlie! **ADOPTION FEE WAIVED** Intake date: 5/30/23 Intake type: Surrender DOB: 01/26/2021 Gender: Male Weight: 60 lbs Charlie is a sweet, wiggly, playful boy. He LOVES going for walks, but he’s also incredibly snuggly and affectionate. Charlie likes meeting new people and going on adventures where he can sniff around. Charlie would do best in a home without cats, dogs, or children due to some ongoing behavioral issues. We’re not sure what has happened in his past, as he first came to us as a stray, but Charlie has pretty bad separation anxiety. He does well at the shelter, but former adopters have had trouble with crate training and keeping him out of trouble. He is a strong dog who is very determined to be right at your side. Charlie has also developed issues with resource guarding as a result of his long stay here at the shelter. Any potential adopter would have to be committed to working with Charlie and invest their time into crate training and overcoming his anxiety. We have purchased a special crate for Charlie that will go with him upon adoption. We think the ideal home for Charlie would be one with a fenced-in yard and strong, active people who have time to help Charlie become the great dog he is inside. Charlie is up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. If you think you can give Charlie the best life possible, fill out an adoption application today!

Meet Ruby! *IN A FOSTER HOME* Intake date: 10/31/2023 Intake type: Stray DOB: 10/31/2022 Gender: Female Current weight: 38 lbs Ruby is a sweet, playful, and energetic girl. She loves everyone she meets and enjoys being the center of attention. Ruby is very smart and knows quite a few commands. She wants nothing more than to make her people happy! While in foster care she learned to come, stay, sit, and lay down. Ruby is a bit undersocialized with under animals, but with time and patience we think she will acclimate to having furry friends. She has played well with other dogs and was in foster care with a kitty who she made friends with. Ruby would likely do best in a home with older children (12+). Ruby is housetrained and is working on her leash manners. Ruby is up to date on vaccines, spayed, and microchipped. If you’re interested in Ruby, submit an application today! *Ruby is in a foster home and will require ana approved application to meet*

Story
This is Aurora! Intake date: 03/06/2024 Intake type: Seizure DOB: 03/06/2022 Gender: Female Current weight: 44 lbs Aurora is a very nice but nervous dog. She is slow to warm up to new people, but once she trusts you she just wants to be at your side. She is eager to please and loves getting attention. Aurora does seem to suffer from a bit of separation anxiety and would appreciate a family where her people are home for most of the day. Aurora would do best in a home where she is the only dog. She gets along well with the other dogs she was seized with, but does not seem to like any other dogs. She has not been cat-tested but can be upon request. Aurora would do best in a home with older children (12+) who respect her space and needs. Aurora’s leash manners could use some work and she is mostly housetrained. Aurora is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines. If you are interested in Aurora, apply today!

Story
This is Athena! Intake date: 05/24/2024 Intake type: Surrender DOB: 11/06/2022 Gender: Female Current weight: 52 lbs Athena is a very gentle and timid soul. She can be quite shy at first when meeting new people, but give her a snack or two and let her get a good sniff in, and she is a total sweetheart. She likes to sniff around outside but mostly likes to be near her trusted people and be held close. Athena doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter but approved applicants with other dogs in the home will have to set up a meet and greet to make sure everyone gets along. She has not been cat-tested but can be upon request. Athena would do best in a home with older children (6+) only because she is so nervous. Athena has good leash manners and is almost housetrained; only having accidents over long periods of time. Athena is up-to-date on vaccines, spayed, and microchipped. If you are interested in Athena, apply today!
