Story
Col. Potter Cairn Terrier Rescue www.cairnrescue.comMeet Ruffian. He is a very friendly, happy, loving, cuddly boy. He loves to chew so he needs lots of chewy toys. He sleeps in bed with his person and loves to curl up right behind your knees. He wants to be with his person as much as possible but when you go out if he gets a treat or a chewy with a little peanut butter, he will be happy. He will sometimes even go in his crate on his own. He loves to go for walks, but likes to pull on leash. He is dog friendly when around resident dogs, but gets overly excited when he sees another dog while on leash. He needs to be trained and needs someone who is willing to spend time and effort to train him. He is currently wearing a belly band; he keeps it dry at night and when crated. I feel this sweet loveable boy will make someone a wonderful pet if they are willing to take the time needed for training. In other words, ruffian has great potential.FOR LOTS MORE INFORMATION ON RUFFIAN ENTER OR COPY THIS LINK ONTO YOUR WEB BROWSER:https://www.cairnrescue.com/store/dogs/ Ruffian is being fostered in Danvers, MA in a PRIVATE FOSTER HOME but we allow our dogs to be adopted out all over the United States and Canada!LEARN OUR 'ADOPTION FAQS': Any questions that you may have about our adoption process, fees, transporting a dog, and our policy not to adopt to families with small children, can be answered at our main website or going directly to this link: https://www.cairnrescue.com/service/faq/ IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU READ THE FAQ'S BEFORE COMPLETING AN APPLICATION. Story
Col. Potter Cairn Terrier Rescue www.cairnrescue.comEleanor is an adorable little terrier mix. She was groomed today and definitely looks like a cairn mix; foster mom has ordered a DNA kit and results will be posted. We are working on leash walking and potty training. In the house she is friendly and loves to get attention and give kisses ,and she gets along well with the other dogs; walking on a leash outside she is very timid around new people (especially men), and reactive to other dogs. She is easily distracted by everything on walks and does not do her business outside. Working on that! Eleanor came in to Col Potter with another older dog (Bronka), and while they are close and sleep together they are not bonded.; She will however need at least one other friendly dog for companionship, and would love to be adopted with Bronka. She has lots of energy and loves to run in the yard with the 2 younger resident dogs, chasing the birds and squirrels. She loves affection and attention, and is the happiest little girl. Watch for updates on this little girl, she is a real sweetheart.FOR LOTS MORE INFORMATION ON ELEANOR ENTER OR COPY THIS LINK ONTO YOUR WEB BROWSER:https://www.cairnrescue.com/store/dogs/ Eleanor is being fostered in Stratford, CT in a PRIVATE FOSTER HOME but we allow our dogs to be adopted out all over the United States and Canada!LEARN OUR 'ADOPTION FAQS': Any questions that you may have about our adoption process, fees, transporting a dog, and our policy not to adopt to families with small children, can be answered at our main website or going directly to this link: https://www.cairnrescue.com/service/faq/ IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU READ THE FAQ'S BEFORE COMPLETING AN APPLICATION. Story
Col. Potter Cairn Terrier Rescue www.cairnrescue.comBronka is a gentle, sweet older lady. She is a mixed breed, foster mom is doing DNA testing, so watch for results. Bronka is perfectly content giving and getting kisses, getting belly rubs, napping and enjoying a short leisurely stroll around the yard and then back for another rest. She loves to eat and is a wee bit chubby, and is not a fan of walking far. Sweet gentle Bronka is ready to be adopted, along with her daughter Eleanor. They eat, play wrestle and sleep together, and would love to be the Queen and Princess of your home. Bronka is still working on her weight reduction and potty training, but is improving and gradually increasing her walking distance. Bronka would love to shower you with kisses.FOR LOTS MORE INFORMATION ON BRONKA ENTER OR COPY THIS LINK ONTO YOUR WEB BROWSER:https://www.cairnrescue.com/store/dogs/ Bronkae is being fostered in Stratford, CT in a PRIVATE FOSTER HOME but we allow our dogs to be adopted out all over the United States and Canada!LEARN OUR 'ADOPTION FAQS': Any questions that you may have about our adoption process, fees, transporting a dog, and our policy not to adopt to families with small children, can be answered at our main website or going directly to this link: https://www.cairnrescue.com/service/faq/ IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU READ THE FAQ'S BEFORE COMPLETING AN APPLICATION. Story
Wolfina is being fostered in TX, UPDATE: Wolfina is very anxious when transported long distances; thus, short transports of less than 4 hours are advised. Please email adoption@blinddogrescue.org for more information or if you have any questions. Thank you. Wolfina is a sweet girl that just wants to be loved. She is a little shy at first meeting, especially with men, but warms up quickly. She really enjoys exploring the fenced-in backyard with her fur-siblings. She also likes taking walks with her foster mom around the neighborhood. Although she was not leash-trained when she came to live with her foster mom, she picked up on it quickly and gets excited to go on her walks when her leash is picked up. She doesn't seem to have much interest in toys, but really likes laying in her doggy bed, especially when it has a blanket or two to snuggle in. BDRA had voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Jessie is being fostered in FL Jessie is doing great! He continues to be very sweet and gentle, and whenever his foster mom walks him, the neighborhood children love to come over and pet him. And if he hears people talking, he'll come over to say hello! Jessie also thinks he's part cat! His foster mom says he makes a noise like he's purring when she pets him. :) Please fill out an adoption application if you are interested in Jessie. Story
Sushi is being fostered in CT. Sushi loves to cuddle and would love to have her own person and family; however she would do best as an only dog so she can get all the love to herself. She travels great in the car and will either sit on your lap for a short trip or in the backseat with a doggy car seat. She is housetrained and will go to the door to let you know she has to go potty. She eats like a champ and takes her insulin well. She also does great at the vet and loves her vet clinic friends. She sleeps through the night and is very easy going. Sushi is not interested in toys but loves to chew on vet approved bones. She loves to sleep on the couch with a comfy blanket, and she uses dog steps to get on. She can safely jump down as long as the floor is not slippery. I have a dog stroller for Sushi and she happily will sit in it and go for a ride or sleep in it when I am sitting at the computer. She enjoys going for short walks and gets excited when you put her leash on! She also does a very funny trot out in the backyard. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
