Online Adoption Application › Meet Sampson, (meaning: sun) Sampson will bring a little sunshine to your day ever day once he decides you're HIS. He can be frightened of new environments at first, so he needs a patient person who will let him unwind. In a quiet, welcoming home, he will be able to relax and shine his true personality. He's actually quite a little character. His favorite game is hide and go seek.... your belonings. He loves hiding his person's shoes, jackets, and clothes while they are in the shower. And then will come and love on you!! Once Sampson is comfortable, he loves to snuggle and would be the perfect companion and lap dog. He also can be protective over the people whom he trusts, he knows a good thing when he sees it.   Sampson gets along with other animals but can get a littke spicy with new visitors. Turn in an application today and be his special person.  (FTA: Sampson is a part of our Foster-to-Adopt program. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Meet Pretty Girl! This little pretty has not had an easy go of it, as she spent many days in emergency care for Parvo and then some (over $8,000 in vet bills!)  Pretty Girl is healthy now and making up for lost time. She is a petite princess and can sometimes be bossy with other dogs.  She has had some exposure to cats in her current foster home. The cats there do not put up with dog nonsense. She is ready to have all your attention to herself. She can be a little timid and unsure so she will need to have your heart and your time.  Because of her rough past, she can be a flight risk.  She will need a physical 3 foot fenced yard that she cannot escape from and since she is so tiny, their can't be any spaces she will fit through. Pretty Girl is still working on leash training so a secured area will be the safest place to get her used to her new family and a leash.  Just be patient with her and you won’t be disappointed.  Pretty Girl is working on using the doggie door and piddle pads in her foster home. If you want the cutest addition to your home – turn in an application!  She is ready for a stable and safe home. Columbus and surrounding areas only please. If you're interested in adopting, the first step in our adoption process is to submit an application on our website, www.dashanimalrescue.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 4, 2024, 1:55 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Introducing Axton! This sweet boy was one of the brightest kids in The DASH Prison Training Program where he brushed up on his house manners before he went to his current foster home. His foster mom said he's such a cuddle bug! In the program, he did well learning to walk on a leash and did not complain about being in his crate but would much rather be out snuggling with his people. He worked on "sit, down, stay, wait, & leave it." (Of course, continued work on these commands will keep him perfect)!  His handler said he is very intelligent, attentive, affectionate, and has become comfortable enough to snore in his sleep. Axton is a social boy, who seems to love all people, as well as other dogs! Axton also likes his toys and playing in water. He is energetic at play time but also loves when it's time to chill out. Axton did so well and consistent with practicing his basic commands, he moved on to tricks - He was learning to speak! He is ready for his new family. He's got his tuxedo on ready for his big day when he gets adopted. Let's not disappoint this good boy.  * Note: Axton is part of our Foster to Adopt program. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Meet Sophie! She was in the DASH Prison Training Program where she learned manners & basic commands and is now in a foster home.  Sofia is a joyful soul...especially if there is food involved. She can be cuddly, and she can be independent. Her foster mom reports that Sophie thinks brooms are evil and must be destroyed. She is good with the other dogs in the home she's in, but if they bother her, she won't back down.  * Note: Sophie is part of our Foster to Adopt program. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Sweet Luna came to our rescue with puppies. She was an incredible momma. All of her pups have since been adopted but she is still patiently waiting on someone to call her their girl. She loves walks and just discovered how much she loves the sand volleyball court! This sweet girl came to DASH fearful and shy with little confidence. She has made great strides in the DASH Prison Training Program. Her handler says " Luna is better than a good pet, she's a good friend and a great roommate". When you wake up, she's looking at you like "What are we going to do today?", but she is not afraid to be alone either. She will do best with a person who responds in a calm, relaxed approach. She is highly intelligent, affectionate and loyal and attaches quickly to one person. She loves everyone though. She's a great dog who just needs a chance with a family that has time for her. She will need time to decompress, with love and patience to show her she is safe and part of the family. Luna is not cat-friendly but is sociable with other dogs, just not puppies. She has not been "kid tested" so proper meet & greets are always in order. We are excited and anticipate Luna finding her perfect home. Rescue Luna and she'll rescue you. Apply today!    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 9, 2024, 10:58 am
