Story
Taffy is 15 years old. She is a very calm and sweet lady. This is a heart heavy parting for me. She has been with me from the start. I am moving because of health issues and cannot take her with me. I had homed her with my elderly neighbor (I rent from), but she had a heart attack about 2 months ago and then had a fall a couple weeks ago so she is unable to care for Taffy any longer. Taffy is fairly healthy for her age. She still enjoys beach walks and is happy and lively. Her eye site isn't so good so she is cautious about doing stairs but when she gets familiar she can go up and down. She has gained a few pounds and would do better if she gets to go for walks, and not be over fed. I am hoping that a kind woman would open her heart to care for Taffy. She loves to go for rides or just be outside, fishing, camping, beach walking. Thank you sincerely.

Story
My name's Bruce don't wear it out! I'm a bouncy, bubbly, chunk of muscle. Sniffing out my surroundings, and soaking up love and attention are two of my favorite hobbies. I may look intimidating, but I'm a giant softie. My leash manners leave a bit to be desired, but with how observant and smart I am I know I will catch on quick. My approach to meeting other dogs is excitable, playful, and curious! I'm a little too excited to meet cats, so I should go to a home without them. My adoption fee is $175, Benton County adopters have an additional licensing fee.

Story
Hey there, I'm Ranger, and I'm here to show you just how awesome senior dogs can be! Despite being around 10 years young, I'm still as sprightly as ever, weighing in at a cuddly 50 pounds of pure affection. As a Labrador mix, I've got brains and cuteness to show it. Whether it's learning new tricks or just hanging out with my favorite toys, I'm always up for a good time - especially if treats are involved! Plus, with my keen intellect, I'll have those commands down in no time. Now, picture this: you and me, out in the great outdoors, exploring the wilderness and soaking up the sunshine. I'd make the perfect camping buddy, ready for hikes and adventures galore! And let's not forget about fetch - it's one of my all-time favorite games! I adore being the center of attention, and I prefer to be the only animal in the household. That way, I can soak up all the love and affection just for myself! So, if you're in search of a loyal companion to join you on life's adventures, look no further. Come on down and meet me today! My adoption fee is just $90, and I promise to bring endless joy and love into your homeNOTES FROM MY FOSTER MOM: Ranger is so easy - such good company, so reliable when I'm away from home, always happy, so very intelligent and eager to please. He has boundless energy and enthusiasm. He would be a fabulous companion for people who work (because he's fine by himself) and who like to jog/hike.

Story
Hi, I'm Banjo! I am the picture-perfect hound boy. I have the most handsome hound coat, I believe I'm called tri-colored, whatever that is. I'm a lean guy weighing in at just around forty pounds, I could add a little bit of weight to these bones but I'm alright looking for an active hound dog. We tend to be a bit on the lean side of things. Like most hounds I love to follow my nose and some baying here and there is to be expected! I'm a young guy and I would love to have daily exercise; I would make the perfect adventure dog. I am ready for a summer full of hiking and camp trips. I can't wait to hit the trails with you, I'll lead the way. Following my nose is going to take us to some spectacular Oregon views I just know it! I'm a young guy so I haven't learned all my manners yet, but I love food so I'm very easy to train. I am ready to learn everything you want to teach me, but I may ask for a snack in return. I have met a few dogs here at the shelter, I enjoy the company of some of them more than others. If you already have a dog at home, I need to meet them before becoming part of your family. I want to make sure they like me as much as you do! I hope we can meet soon! My adoption fee is $175, Benton County adopters have an additional licensing fee.

Story
Hello, I'm Buddy! I'm a nice senior gentleman who came to Heartland with my brother Hank. We are best friends and need to go home together. We love to snuggle up together in bed. We are really sweet little guys who love snuggles, going on walks and spending time with you. I am super adorable and love getting belly rubs. We are also crate trained. I love to cuddle on a rainy day. I am an older man with lots of life experience but I do have some dental issues. I have been around other dogs and I don't mind them at all. I've met some cats before and I thought they were a little scary. I am ok with calm children. My brother and I are looking for a nice home to spend our golden years in. Please come to Heartland to meet me. We would like to meet your entire family including other dogs in the home. Feel free to ask staff if you have questions about me or my brother.
