Story

Buster just turned 3. 74# Pit/staffie (DNA tested) but really looks like a dalmation mix. I've had him for almost 3 months (agreed to take him from someone who had him since a puppy but desperately needed a foster) but his prey drive is too high for my 6 acres of unfenced rural area. He gets along fine with my senior dog and has met many neighborhood dogs of all sizes when I've set up play dates to run off his energy. He loves car rides, fetching, great on a leash (could jog or walk with you), housebroken, dog door trained. Fine with a cat that won't run. Sleeps quietly at night. Security only bark. Smart and quite well trained, knows many commands. Too big to jump fences, but could dig out of a weak fence. Needs someone who is usually home, active, older kids fine, really best in an urban area without so much to chase. He'd rather be with his human. Ten years from now, you will say he was the best dog you've ever had. Please help me keep him from going to a shelter?

Meet Simon, a lovable, friendly and playful goofball who loves humans, gets along with other dogs, is housebroken, and has loads of personality. He will do well in a home that can give him all the love he deserves, and would love to have a sister dog buddy. He likes to play fetch and tug with his toys, and thinks he's a big lap dog and will crawl in your lap with his toy and flip over for belly rubs. He's well mannered in the house and will quietly chew on his treat while his humans relax, but he does get lonely and will bark and chew when left alone. He is still very much a puppy at heart and still learning his manners, but is housebroken and walks well on leash and has learned to Sit for treats! Simon would do well in a home where he can have a female dog buddy, or a human companion who can spend time playing with him, go on daily walks to explore, and have a secure fenced yard to play in. He is probably not suitable for small children or cats, because of his size and playful nature, but he gets along well with female dogs. Simon is fully vaccinated, sterilized, healthy and ready to find his forever humans! Simon is currently being fostered in La Paz, BCS, but is available for video meet and greets and can be transported anywhere on the US West Coast or Canada.
