Story
My heart is breaking even writing this post but it is what it is… I am needing to rehome my dog KoVa. This is not an easy decision and the last thing I have ever wanted to do. My landlord has issued an ultimatum and unfortunately with the housing crisis the way it is, moving into another house really isn’t an option. He really deserves to have a home and good life where he can be active all day. A little bit about him, he is a 4 years old, Border Collie and Australian Shepherd mix. Positives: super smart, house broken, good with cats, knows basic commands, loyal, not destructive, and sweet. Plays well with dogs he is familiar with. The negatives: high energy and ball obsessions, fear and some protective based aggression towards other dogs.

Story
Trixie is almost 2 years old. We adopted her at Brightside Animal Shelter last September. We wanted a companion but she is just too frisky for me to care for. She love to fetch the ball and frisbees. She has a sweet personality and loves being around her humans. However I have balance issues and so does my husband. It would be better for Trixie to be around younger folks with kids or even a couple who don’t have major health issues. She loves to go on walks and sometimes can jerk the leash out of my hand. She love to chew her toys to pieces, so I won’t be sending those with her, she also chews sticks she finds in the yard. Will send her balls with her. I will send her food and leashes with her.

Story
Joy is a 60lb black F1B labradoodle who is 2 years old. We got her as a puppy and she has lived with us in the city ever since. Her favorite things to do are go on walks, go to the dog park, get in the car and chase rock chucks. She has always been the non-dominant dog to our other pup and has never been alone from other dogs. She is very food motivated and is easily taught with food.

Story
Ruby is a shy girl who started life in a hoarding situation. Unfortunately she ended up pregnant and was at a high kill shelter. So we saved her and her puppies and got them healthy and vetted. Her pups were adopted easily but ruby has been in Rescue for while and her long term foster is moving and she has to move fosters. Ruby has come a long way with time and love, she's not a huge on leash dog but loves other dogs and would do best in a home with other dogs (small preferred but she does get along with all). She enjoys her time outside in warmer weather and her time on the couch otherwise. She does play some with other dogs also. She will need time to warm up but she will make it up with sweetness and love once she bonds with you. She's so silly she snores so loud and she always sleeps with her arms straight out and up in the air lol she loves to be able to cuddle with other dogs. She'd love to find a home with a secure yard and other dogs where she can just be comfy and be a dog without a lot of expectations.  Ruby has gotten a full dental done If interested please fill out and submit an application online at Softpawsrescue.org and send in home and yard photos for consideration to adopt. We like to do 2 week Foster to Adopts so the dogs don't have to move around as much and they can bond and make sure they fit into your home before completion of adoption. Dogs adoption fee's will include vet visit/exam, spay/neuter, microchip, blood work up/dental if vet says it is needed, dewormed, up to date on shots (DHPP and Rabies, Bordetella can be done if requested we don't do it normally as we don't have the dogs in boarding, dog parks or high risk locations), current on 1 dose of flea treatment in case they brought any with them from CA.  If anything isn't mentioned that you don't see but is normally done ##1728792##

Story
Makenzie was a stray in CA, at only 20lbs she is a mini bull terrier mix. She is fostered in Redmond OR, with another dog. Foster doesn't have any cats but says she doesn't seem to want to chase stuff on walks. She is crate trained but doesn't love it. She is house trained, walks on leash decently, loves to be around her people, would be great for an emotional support or therapy dog. Barks when sees people/dogs walking past the house but is very quiet otherwise per foster. She is only 19-20lbs she is a Miniature Bull Terrier mix. She is about 2 years old. If interested please follow these steps: 1. fill out and submit an application online at: https://form.jotform.com/240361716308149 2. Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Teddy was purchased for $2500 from a breeder in Salem. I had hoped to use him as a therapy dog for our care home for seniors. Unfortunately, his personality doesn’t work as a therapy dog. He instead fits the role of family dog. Our business keeps me busy & I haven’t been able to e-collar train him like I should. He does alert us when he needs to pee outside, sleeps in his crate, is great traveling in a car, knows sit, down, shake, spin commands, plays well with most other dogs, plays with our cat & is good with kids. E-collar training will help greatly with his need to bark at strangers at door, UPS truck, etc. He barks at first when you have a guest, then calms down, but for some reason when they go to leave he again barks at them, I had hoped to help these behaviors through an e-collar.
