Story
Meet Felix! This beautiful boy will be 2yrs old on Sept 10th. I adopted him from a bad situation, where he was being abused. The only reason I am looking to rehome him, is he does not get along with cats and displays a high prey drive. Felix does show signs of abuse, such as cowering when being approached by strangers. He can be extremely nervous and timid at first, but warms up to you quickly. He has never shown any aggression towards people. In my experience, he does well with dogs that are calm and less vocal. He does bark when approaching other dogs. After meeting a dog once, the next time is much less dramatic. He has developed a bond with several neighborhood dogs and gets excited to see them. He is super highl energy and does need plenty of physical and mental stimulation. He enjoys walks, hikes and playing fetch w/the tennis ball! I highly recommend a fenced in yard. Felix is very loving and eager to please. He will be a perfect addition, to the right family!

Story
This story is from Kevins rescuer, the police officer. We got a call about a puppy being tied on a vacant properties porch and possibly someone trespassing on the property. Once I arrived on the property, no one could be located, but the puppy was tied to a porch railing and left with no food or water. I contacted John with Baker Bridge Rescue who agreed to help me, of which I was very grateful. I then secured the pup shortly after. A couple folks floating on the river were very relieved to see the dog being taken care of!. Since getting Kevin home with us, he has gained weight and found that people can be good. He is learning potty training and playing with the other dogs. He loves playing with toys. If you are interested in learning more about Kevin (puppy), please email BakerBridgeRescue@aol.com and ask for an application. Once we review it, we will call you. We transport every other week to a location near you with the most animal friendly transport - Rescue Riders Transport.

Story
Izzy is a very friendly dog, an American Pit Bull Terrier mix, around 2 years old. We received a call from the local sheriff’s dispatch seeking our assistance in rescuing an abandoned Pitbull in rural Tennessee, and that's how we found Izzy. Despite his rough past and neglect, Izzy's gentle demeanor shines through. We've taken Izzy under our wing, with plans to provide him the care he deserves. He's been neutered, vaccinated, received flea/tick prevention, and microchipped. He's good on the leash but pulls a bit, and he's a decent traveler in the car. He is crate trained. Izzy is sweet and good-natured, good with kids, dogs, and small dogs, but not at all fond of cats. He's very needy but understandable. Weighing about 45 pounds, he's a smart, independent, and gentle companion who's happiest being with you, whatever you're doing. However, Izzy is a bit of an escape artist and can tear up regular kennels. So, he'll need an indestructible crate with heavier bars. Despite his knack for getting out, Izzy will bring endless love and happiness into your life, always eager to be by your side. Please send a request for an application to fill out. Story
We received a call about Sally needing to be re-homed, they were not allowed to have a large dog where they were renting. Sally is just a puppy and full of energy and love. We are working with her on her jumping and crating her at night. Sally is a 4-5 months old (as of 7/9/24) female Anatolian shepherd mix. She loves to run and play and adores children, she doesn’t know her size so be careful, so be vigilant ! Sally is very playful, great funny personality and getting better on leash walks, Her favorite thing to lean on you and snuggle, she rides in the car good and eat treats. The negative with a young dog is needing extra attention to keep an eye on her from chewing things she shouldn’t, scratching at bedding and flooring. No Sally deserves a loving family and a forever home that will take time to play with her and enjoy her spunky personality. She is very smart, is starting to sit on command i’m sure, she’s independent and can be very gently. She is fine just spending time with you and will bring endless love and happiness into your life! She is fully vetted, flea, tick prevention. spayed, on HW meds, current shots, and micro chipped. Again She’s good with Kids, and dogs, cats are ok, but will need to be trained! I have some video to text or email) Please send a request for an application to fill out. (I have some video to text or email) email us at Bakerbridgerescue@aol.com

This teeny tiny little girl is approx. 7 weeks old. She will be eligible for transport in 3 weeks. Until then, she will remain in her foster home inTennessee where she is sure to be loved and spoiled until she finds her forever home. Panda will be small when fully grown but don't let her size fool you. She's afraid of nothing ( except maybe the cat). She is house training and doing very well with her kennel training. She is the star of the show wherever she goes. Panda's adoption fee is 450.00 and it includes her transport, microchip, current on vaccinations, heart worm preventative and flea and tick repellent. For an adoption application on Panda please email baversa1@gmail.com. All of our pets start their journey in Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted at which time they travel via transport to their new forever home. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters. Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well educated decision from well qualified staff. Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Blues City is operated 100% by volunteers.
