Story
Rex is estimated to be about 7 to 8 years old. We got him as a rescue 5 years ago and we're told he was between 2 and 3. We do not know about his previous life before us. He is very sweet and loves belly rubs. He loves going to the dog park and playing with other dogs. He is very friendly with other dogs and can play for hours. Rex gets anxious around children and does not do well especially with younger children. He was diagnosed eith Addisons disease about 3 years ago and requires a daily steroid pill and a monthly injection. He would do really well with a family that doesn't have children and has time to take him for walks and dog park trips.

Story
ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/11175Pleased to meet you! I’m Remembering Bubba Gump 2021 but my friends call me Roland. I’m told that I’m a 90 lbs hound mix and about 8 years old but I’m an old soul. I love people but tend to want to be one of the guys. I like when other pets and humans match my lower energy level, or I could be an only child too! It’s probably best that I stay clear of the kitchen or I might help myself to a tasty treat, or two! I haven’t always known where my next meal will come from, so I can get a little moody towards people and animals. This is true with spaces too. You can’t make me get off the couch…but I can be convinced. -Loves to walk, but hold on tight I can pull! -Crate trained, but secure me in! -Loud noises can spook me, especially when I’m alone-Food Motivated -I’m a people person-I could chill with a cool cat -I’d be better with an experienced dog ownerMy foster dad has been working really hard with me and I have come a long way! He says that all my quirks can be easily managed, but my new family must have the patience to listen and willingness to understand them. Apply today!Click here to see me with my foster! See more here, here, here, here, and here. This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving at the rescue. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito producing a positive test in six months. The dog was treated for the disease prior to transport north. Potential adopters will receive detailed information on the disease and their role in completing the recovery process from OPH’s heartworm coordinator. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable. Read more about heartworm disease here here

ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13591Hi I am Betty Boop - I am a 53 pound boxer/terrier mix, with a beautiful caramel short coat.I LOVE KIDS! I am fantastic with kids and get along well with the 2 kids in my foster home.I would like you to know that:- I LOVE riding in the car- I am crate and house-trained, but I don't love the crate- I know "sit" and "down" and "NO" and "Paw", "Spin Around", "down" "stay" and "Come"- I LOVE being outside and I am a brisk walker. I do get excited when I see rabbits or squirrels- Give me a nylabone to chew on and I am happy- I am mainly a quiet couch potato but I do sometimes like to play.- I am not a barker inside but I do like to bark when I am outside- I am very treat motivated and will be easy to train, I am SMART!-I am super sweet, wag a lot and will give kisses to anyone who wants them.

Story
ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13401My name is Jacob and I am guessed to be a 1 year old Border Collie/Lab mix and currently weigh about 65 pounds. Here are some things my foster family has learned about me:- I am a sweet boy who needs time to adjust to new places and people.- Once I know I can trust you, I am a happy loving boy. I am also a "hugger" and greet foster mom with big hugs when I haven't seen her for a while. She says we are going to work on "four on the floor"- I like getting praise, pets and belly rubs from people I know well.- I am very curious and enjoy slowly exploring my foster home and yard (Click here, here, here, here and here to see me in foster care!- When I first arrived, I would retreat to the safety of my crate. Now that I have settled in, I prefer being around my foster family and playing with my furry foster sibling. - I enjoy the company of other dogs. Although I can get overexcited playing with my furry foster sibling, I listen when told to settle down.- I am a smart boy who is eager to please. I know "sit", "come" and "leave it". I am treat motivated and will gently take treats from your hand. Beware, though, I have learned to open lever handled doors and won't hesitate to let myself outside to play.- I love being off leash in a fenced in yard. It takes time for me to trust people enough for them to walk me on a leash. Now that I know my foster family well, I enjoy going for long walks around the neighborhood and do well on a leash. I especially enjoy going for hikes in the woods! I may sit and watch as groups of strangers go by, but then happily continue on my way. I would do best in a quiet neighborhood or area and need a home with a fenced in yard so that I can get comfortable with my new people before needing to walk on a leash.- I have definitely learned the joy of toys. I can entertain myself with chew toys or dissecting squeakers out of plush toys. I like to run outside with my toys, where so I can toss them into the air and pounce after them. I haven't quite figured out fetch, but foster mom says that's OK.- When foster mom is working at her desk, I quietly nap nearby or entertain myself with chew toys. - At night I can either go into my crate with treats or hang out on the sofa and sleep quietly until morning.- I have been doing a great job going potty outside. I am looking for a loving home where I can continue to gain confidence and thrive. I am looking for someone who is patient and understands that I need time to learn to trust them before showing my happy playful side. If that's you, apply today.

Story
ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13592Hi! My name is Chandler and I came to OPH on April 19th. I’m guessed to be about a year old. I’m a Yankee Doodle dandy born on the 4 of July. I’m a mixed breed and I’m currently 47 pounds of sweetness and energy. I am super excited about everything! I love to run and run and run and play all the time. I need things to chew like tennis balls and bones so, keep them coming (Click here )! I love being outside but I am also getting used to chilling in my crate when I have to be in there (Click here to see me in action!). Sometimes I even slow down enough to sit and snuggle. I am quickly learning about potty training, and I’m doing pretty well, as long as my humans remember to take me out often enough. I am also learning to take treats from my humans, who are teaching me to sit before taking the treat I. When I walk on a leash, I do pull because I’d rather be running but I am learning that sometimes it’s ok to just walk. In my first few weeks of living with humans in my foster home, I am learning a lot and slowly getting used to following a routine. But some things still scare me, including male humans so I might be better in a home without too many of those.

ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13278Hi! My name is Zeb.I’m guessed to be a 8 month old mixed breed dog. I’m a sweet boy and currently weigh 50lbs.I love to give kisses and snuggle while I sleep.I’m house trained!I currently live with four dogs of all ages and sizes. I do well with all of them!I also live with a cat and four kittens. I’m a little too playful with the kittens but I’m trying to be easier. I’m more respectful of the adult cat but I’d probably be best in a home without cats. I’m a goofy boy with lots of character!I’m food motivated and will be easy to train. I already know sit!
