Story
I have a super sweet 7 year old Bullweiler (Rottweiler bulldog mix). She’s playful and quite the cuddler only about 50lbs so she looks like a miniature Rottweiler. I would like to find a good home for her because our two dogs fight. They were raised separately and at first they got along, but for about the last 4 years we have had to separate them because our golden starts fights with her Only one dog is out with us at a time. We’re going on 4 small children and barely have enough time for one dog and she deserves better. She’s kennel trained, knows some basic commands. She’s good with kids. We’re getting rid of her over our other dog because she’s a much better mannered dog. She doesn’t like getting her nails clipped. Please let me know your situation and how it might be a good fit.

Story
We rescued Gunner as a 9 week old puppy from a friend of my son. His mother is a German shepherd/Belgian Malinois. His dad is a purebred Golden Retriever. He is potty trained, crate trained, plays fetch, is a good listener and overall sweet boy. He is very active and loves to play with his toys and loves walks. He is about 10 months old. We have two cats who he pesters. He’s never hurt them but is curious about them and will bark to get their attention. He loves my bearded dragon. He would be best rehomed with a single person or couple who have the time and energy to continue to work with him on training. He is not well suited in our home due to the cats and multiple people coming in and out of our house, as we have three teens. I would definitely suggest that he only go to people who have experience working with and/or owning/raising/training a shepherd mix. We had a German shepherd for seven years who we diligently trained. This breed of dog needs A LOT of consistent training.

ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/11175Pleased to meet you! I’m Remembering Bubba Gump 2021 but my friends call me Roland. I’m told that I’m a 90 lbs hound mix and about 8 years old but I’m an old soul. I love people but tend to want to be one of the guys. I like when other pets and humans match my lower energy level, or I could be an only child too! It’s probably best that I stay clear of the kitchen or I might help myself to a tasty treat, or two! I haven’t always known where my next meal will come from, so I can get a little moody towards people and animals. This is true with spaces too. You can’t make me get off the couch…but I can be convinced. -Loves to walk, but hold on tight I can pull! -Crate trained, but secure me in! -Loud noises can spook me, especially when I’m alone-Food Motivated -I’m a people person-I could chill with a cool cat -I’d be better with an experienced dog ownerMy foster dad has been working really hard with me and I have come a long way! He says that all my quirks can be easily managed, but my new family must have the patience to listen and willingness to understand them. Apply today!Click here to see me with my foster! See more here, here, here, here, and here. This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving at the rescue. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito producing a positive test in six months. The dog was treated for the disease prior to transport north. Potential adopters will receive detailed information on the disease and their role in completing the recovery process from OPH’s heartworm coordinator. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable. Read more about heartworm disease here here

ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/12907Meet Tramp – A Sweet, Easygoing Pup Ready for His Forever Family!Name: TrampGender: MaleBreed: Shepherd MixAge: 1 yearWeight: 53 lbsCurrent Location: New Market, MDAbout TrampHello! My name is Tramp, and I made a big journey all the way from Kosovo to find my forever family here in the USA—maybe it’s with you! I’m a 1 year old shepherd mix with a gentle heart and a playful spirit. My foster mom says I’m settling in beautifully, and I’ve already become quite the couch-loving, snuggly houseguest.PersonalityI’m a calm, affectionate puppy who loves to play and is always ready for a cuddle. I’m learning new things every day and adjusting well to life here, enjoying cozy naps just as much as I enjoy a good romp with my foster siblings. I’m gentle and respectful in play and have done wonderfully with children, showing lots of patience and kindness. I’m not much of a barker—you’ll hardly hear a peep from me!Energy Level & Play StyleFor a young pup, I’m surprisingly mellow! I’m playful and curious but also happy to relax and snuggle, especially on rainy days. I play well with other dogs and am respectful of boundaries, making me an easy-going companion. I love routine and do best in a calm environment, where I can relax and be my best self.Skills and TrainingI’m making great progress with my training and daily routine. I sleep through the night, keep my crate clean when my foster family is away, and am getting used to leash walking with a little patience. I’m housetrained when kept on a schedule and am working on building good manners—my foster family says I’m a quick learner. I also completed a 6-week puppy training class and have been practicing at home, so I’m ready to continue my journey to becoming a well-mannered dog!Health and Special CareI have a bit of a sensitive tummy, which can act up with dietary changes or in stressful environments. My foster family is working with vets to develop a plan to keep me feeling my best. I can only have specific foods, like my current kibble, to help manage this, and freeze-dried chicken seems to work as an occasional treat. With the right care, I’m thriving!CompanionshipI’d be a wonderful companion for a family who enjoys a balance of play and relaxation. I’m gentle with children and do well with other dogs, making me a great fit for families or individuals who want a sweet, low-key buddy. I thrive on routine, calmness, and kindness, and I’m looking forward to bringing all the love I have to give to a forever home.Love and AffectionI’m a gentle, affectionate pup who loves to be close to my people. Whether it’s cuddling on the couch or giving and receiving hugs, I’ll bring endless warmth and companionship to your home.
